This was a fantastic trip down memory lane. I got 71 points, including getting the last two songs before hearing them. Only 2 songs I couldn’t remember the name of and only one complete blank (and it was one of my favourite songs at the time - Spaceman by Babylon Zoo. I haven’t heard it for so long I shall have to stick it in the rotation again!)

Again an excellent quiz that keeps me going , i did way better than i thought was explaining this to my daughter ( 30 ) who replied Dad i was born in 1994 so you should remember most of these the 1990 's was a long time ago 🤣🤣 keep up the great work

As an American, this list was not at all what I remember being popular in the 90s. I don't know how much of that is divergence between American and British music at the time and how much might be bias in what I was listening to in the 90s. Okay, I just went and looked at the American #1s in the 90s, and there's definitely some memory bias (Grunge, it seems, was not successful at topping the charts), but it still looks like a very different list than the British one. Any chance of an American version? Needless to say, I did terribly. I got some of the ones that were covers of things from the 60s and 70s and a few that were also big in America. But so many unfamiliar songs!
I certainly wouldn't be too hard on yourself or your memory! No doubt many of these songs weren't too successful beyond the UK. I am 'testing the waters' with an American themed quiz at the end of the month. If that one does well then I'll absolutely start to do a few more American chart quizzes. I always enjoy the research when looking at charts in other countries, so I'm hoping it does well!
