Although it’s not confirmed, I love the hints that Asta has no magic because his mother accidentally permanently absorbed all of his magic while he was in the womb.
I always had a lingering suspicion that his special 'energy' drink was suppressing it or draining him somehow.

idk the queen of witches said it was a genetic mutation, even if it was stolen or suppressed, it would eventually come back over time, especially if after eating Charmy's Food.

It's heavily implied that Licita is responsible for taking Asta's magic away. She gave him up before she ended up taking his life force away as well. That would've killed him.
Not really, Asta was born without mana because of a mutation, she couldn't steal his mana or life force because he lacks of mana (in the episode, Lichta says that she can't steal Liebe's life force, but doesn't know if it's because he's a devil or lacks mana, but later was able to steal some mana from lucifero)
@@phantom9831Yeah, Mana, we don't know about life force. I am having a hard time determining which too, but I am guessing she would have indeed killed him otherwise she would have maybe tried to check up on him later. Remember she didn't die until after some time
It is heavily implied that they released the movie to see how the show would do 2 years later, and judging how highly it was rated has led many to presume and even the studio themselves teasing that the anime could definitely be coming back, although it's likely later 2024 before we see more of the show
The reason why Black Clover hasn't returned yet after this episode is bcs the animators are sooooo hard working in the animation and they are taking their time to animate soooo many episodes in the manga. Trust me there is so much that is needed to be animated based on how much episodes in the manga has. So it'll take another year to finally see the return of Black Clover
Also it was weekly instead of seasonal so that adds the stress

@@Forbidden_Chocolate It's been under production for so long now. If you've read the manga, there's srsly like sooooo much episodes needed animating. It is taking too long but its worth it if we all want Peak Clover to be back with its magnificent fight animation

Can we apreciate noelle's développement ? One of the reasons that I love Black Clover is because it never leaves us wondering where a character went, why they have such a sudden leap in power, or why they're acting a certain way. It's a series that values nurturing its cast - particularly the members of the Black Bulls who are some of my favorite misfits in all of anime. And Noelle is perhaps the coolest example of them all. She is Black Clover's strengths incarnate and the best of her family.
she develops a major crush on Asta that she can barely conceal.
Through Asta, Noelle learns how to connect with people in an unguarded way, one unblemished by her years raised in a hateful, distant family. She learns to love people in general and to accept them and embrace them despite their social standings.

That is mostly true about the bluntness of the blades however if anti magic is applied to it like the black divider it certainly can cut through objects and flesh.
for the swords, yes and no, they do blunt damage, but the sharp edge of the demon slayer sword can cut, as well as the black divider form, since the anti-magic shapes it as a sharp sword, for the demon slasher sword, it is sharp too, but doesn't cut as much as a regular well forged sword

I actually started watching Black Clover because of you guys and I have to say it was an amazing journey! hopefully they will continue the next arc anytime soon but the manga is also on pause so who knows 😢thanks guys, you really made me laugh a lot of times

The black clover anime before the elf arc and eveb in some parts of it really dragged its pacing which is why it feels inconsistent.
The manga is actually very fast paced.
And this isn't tabata's (bc mangaka) first manga he did hungry joker before it and it got axed and had another manga even before hungry joker.
Thanks for taking this ride with us. it's a slow burn for sure. But that slow burn makes the hype moments all the more satisfying.
"pre-time skip 7/10" is BULLSHIT. the characters and the story was fantastic. you two loved the elf arc and when that first devil appeared with the first wizard king and the real licht coming back to life, too. and now you're saying it was meh? i'm not buying it
if you want to complain about the "animation", that's a legitimate complaint. it definitely had some low moments given it aired a new episode every week for like 3.5 straight years.
It took me 4 rewatch and 2 manga re-read to realize that the reason liebe wants asta's body is because he has no magic so he could use his anti magic with asta's body if it's on a regular human with magic they'd be drained dry.
Henry's curse is draining magic, while licita both magic and life...
but what makes me confused is whether it can be controlled or not, if I'm not mistaken, Henry absorbs it when he needs it, while Licita seems to absorb it automatically, but when she catches fish, shouldn't the fish be absorbed first before being cooked? 😂

Black clover will be coming back, the manga is still ongoing. The studio is currently working on another anime last I heard. They are allegedly waiting until they are done with that to continue black clover.
Hey, there have been rumors that the anime may be returning, but it's taking time for quality, but these are just rumors so we'll wait and see

i miss black clover so much they have so much content from the manga they could make eps with but ik the animators are taking their time with it hopefully it would return next year or 2025
It's a show that requires patience for the payoff and reveals so hard to recommend to the Zoomers that need much faster pacing. I also think the social commentary nuance isn't tackled as directly until the Devil Worshipper arc which is anime original
Yeah, and it doesn't help that the anime doesn't do the manga justice. Aside from certain specific hype episodes, reading the manga is just a much better experience than watching the anime.
I think the pre time skip was the most planned part of the series all building up to the Devil. It was definitely drawn out but it made me appreciate and value the kingdom and how the main characters relate to each other that might be rushed in another show.

edit: a little bit more of licita was revealed in the manga some time after this episode. hope the anime will return soon, I can't wait for what the author will add in the anime which was not included in the published material. the reason why then beginning of the anime felt very generic, was because the author was playing it safe and let the story gradually build up to avoid getting cancelled by the publisher (again)

Black clover isnt done, it was cancelled. It may come back but atm, it’s still cancelled status. Rn it’s in its last arc in the manga. Black clover manga has also been changed from shonen jump to its sister company Jump Giga. Jump Giga puts out manga 4 times a year rather than weekly. Gives the mangaka more time to do chapters. Annoying cus it swapped in the middle of a big ass battle lol.
