Glad you showcased a DIY kit. I just finished a Tele style from a Canadian company. More involved and modified but super happy with the outcome. Great video thanks my guitar friend.
Anytime..I have done several other DIYs bit not one that the finish work is done..going to be doing a DIY V very soon..but it will be several videos for sure..Thanks for Watching Bro 😎 🍻
3 minutes into the video and I can say I like the kit because the body and neck is finished and they pre drilled the holes for the string trees. No guess work. Fesley has come a long way for the better in the past yr 👍
Cooll guitar, and nice easy build, Dave! I dig that baby. Looks great, and I especially like that they didn't butcher the head-stock, and put some ridiculous looking Hawk beak thing on there. Seems like it's a good neck too, and a very playable guitar. I do all sorts of builds... and I might like to grab one of these myself. One of the best parts about these types of builds is.... you can get a Pre-Loaded Pickguard to throw in that, with all sorts of color options, and pick-up options, for those who want buckers. Can't remember - was this routed for a bucker? If not... then a guy could just change out the pick-guard with a rail in the bridge. Anyway - I dig it. It is spanky, and it sounds like a Strat. Not a bad thing. They all don't have to sound like an ESP Kamikaze LOL. Cool vid, Bro! Edit: I'm near the end of vid now, and your on high-gain mode. Dang, Bro. Even with those low-output single coils... she sounds fine! LOL Great little kit build!
Right..all kinds of options for pre loaded Pick gaurds..and no it was not routed out from a Humbucker..but like you said sounds really good for Single coils..Thanks for Watching Bro 😎🍻
Pretty good for a cheap guitar kit, yeah ya may want to take a spring off and loosen the claw but take into consideration the tuners will go out of tune if you whammy alot
Awesome video! And you nailed it, a DYI kit builds a lot of confidence with the guitar plus that baby is pure you not some general mass production. I did the Leo J 7v gem style. It was fun and a great time. I am requesting that you do a video on intonation setup! Lot of confusion out there for that! Can't wait for the flying V video! But I'm a Axe man my self 🤣🤣! Rock on!
Right..Very detailed instructions..I like the fact that you can get the finished DIY..Literally put it together some slight teaking and good to go..you don't have to worry about sanding..priming painting and finishing the body..Great for beginners of the DIY universe
Strings or no strings brother the pickup plastic seems to get you every time lmao. Nice build I may have to look into one of those kits. I did however buy the guitar nomad octopus tool looks like a killer one looking forward to getting it.
P.S. Anyone shopping the web for a new guitar on the web can have issues regardless of how much money you spend , even up to a $800 Fender player ! The parts will be better but the set-up ,might not ! Thanks Joe good vid.
