I hear you on the pain thing. It’s so amazing when you finally figure out what fixes it. Squatting without hip or back pain? I’ve never had that until recently. I love it.
Had my first ever go on a belt squat today what a nice bit of kit to use got a great feeling in my legs..worked up to 3 plates but only got 4 reps...and couldn't get out the hole on 5th...isn't it interesting though I can't squat 3 plates anymore
@@IvanDjuric300 Duric you become my bible. I don't have the patience to experiment but seeing your demos everyday gives me the patience I never had. You're patient Ivan and keep experimenting. You are the weightlifting natural bible
if you don't mind me asking, how old are you? i get so bummed thinking about all the time i might have lost in training in the gym and it's really encouraging to think about how much time i could have to grow if i just start and get consistent. your videos are so peaceful and wonderful and i've been seeing your stuff for so many years, it's so cool to see your growth over time.
@@dfowler8402 oh thank you man. Yeh I’ve had similar thoughts myself. What if I started earlier where would I be now… I’m 35 now. 36 in a few months. My mindset is always forward and not back. I’m excited to see where I’ll be when I’m 45. I don’t worry about looking back and feeling like I should be better etc. there’s no value in that. Head up and work.
Funny, spent years trying to bench wide because thays what everyone did and my wrists, shoulders, and elbows hated me for it. Dedicated myself to narrow a little while ago and nothing has even twinged since. Interesting how we're all so different
Ivan there's something you never touch on, is the rest time between sets, do you time it? Or do as it feels? I think I tend to under-rest and that may be a cause of stagnation...
@@ExecutionSommaire I just focus on my breathing. When my breathing settles I know I’m ready for the next set. That tells me my system has recovered enough.
From a philosophical perspective this video was absolutely profound. So applicable to so many different things in life
Yeh that’s right. Good for life in generally.

Depends on what sort of belt squat machine you got. Where are the plates loaded?
Yes.. i agree mate machines vary tremendously
Damn, great advice!
So many people need to practice what they're not good at rather than do what comes naturally. That applies to many aspects of life.
Absolutely
Debatable

Awesome work Ivan! Elbows a bit soft on those OHS. Think “turn the elbows”! Bone on bone!
Yeh I gotta remember to do that.

Isn’t it.
Who knows maybe I’ll end up getting sore from wide eventually. But for now I feel great.
Switched to wide grip since yesterday cuz I got long arms. Definitely felt awkward. Curious to see if it goes somewhere.
