      The Roadmachine with black with tan wall tires is my favorite. I actually built my Planet-X London Road in the same color shceme including the tan wall tires. The gray Alpine Challenge 02 looks nice and clean too.I'm looking forward to the vid on the belt-drive system. The time trial bikes always look so bizarre to me...it's almost like a spaceship. Great selection of bikes.

    Wow, interesting that BMC still keeping rims for their SLR lineup which I believe is their top-end range? Some bike manufacturers have drop rim brakes completely from their 2020 lineup, e.g: 2020 Trek Emondas will be disc only

    • @TwoWheelCruise
      @TwoWheelCruise  5 лет назад

      Wouldn't be surprised if that happens next year.
      Already the rim options are more limited compared to disc now

    Thank you for the detailed intro of the 2020 collection. I am looking for an all-rounder for my next long distance trip (basically riding around Europe,, mix of tarmac and gravel and strade). Looking at the URS I can't see where racks could be affixed to. What would be your own pick? Thank you for your reply. Happy Cycling Cruise!

    • @TwoWheelCruise
      @TwoWheelCruise  5 лет назад

      You can mount a rear rack. I would pick the URS if money wasn't an issue, but the Roadmachine X is a much more affordable option and still pretty fast. I've got a review video of that one coming up soon.

    Huh I bought some FLR AFX flat pedal shoes a month or so ago for about half the price of Five Tens, you don't really hear much about them. I've been pretty impressed with them so far, my right knee/leg can't get along with clipless and don't feel like shelling out for a pro fit for my commuter bikes haha

    Dude, the Gates Carbon + some internal gear system is the way to go. I live in Minnesota and bike commute all year, and as you know being from Michigan, the winters in the upper Midwest are brutal and completely destroy most bikes. I would never go back to a "normal" chain again. I've never had any issue, even in the salt and snow. I just have the bike serviced once before/after winter and that's it. The belt will even last a few YEARS, it's crazy.

    • @TwoWheelCruise
      @TwoWheelCruise  5 лет назад +1

      Definitely the way to go up there. Don't know how I survived all those winters and snow rides on my regular chain mtb 😅

    As a side question (perhaps for a separate video): rim brakes versus disc brakes. What do you prefer? Or perhaps that depends on what kind of ride. (Commute, dirt road, asphalt road, etc)

    • @Falkirion
      @Falkirion 5 лет назад +1

      It depends on the ride. My new bike will have discs purely for the braking performance over rims. I'm planning on tackling hills though so I'll need the extra stopping power

    Looking at the bunch of SRAM Force AXS groupset being sold in the market, did SRAM offer it at a much lower price than Shimano Ultegra Di2 or something? As I see many bikes are fitted with that and not Shimanos, though I prefer wireless over wired and wonder will Di3 or something be wireless

    • @TwoWheelCruise

      combination of wireless and 12 speed. Much more appealing than a wired system still on 11 speed.

    Once I finally managed to move to Japan I really need to get my bike fixed at some point. It has been standing still for at least 10 years now. Of course I could sell this one only to buy a new one there, but this is the last thing I got from my father before he died. So at this moment still in doubt whether to take it with me or not. Pretty much everything needs to be checked out if not repaired except the frame. (Giant Boulder mountain bike with y-frame which is about 20 year old now I think)
    Anyways, my favorite bike would be one that has front and rear springs and at least some decent gears. I personally don't get hyped over normal street bikes or the race type bikes.

    Is there any difference between the 2019 vs 2020 teammachine? Why the fork recall issue is affecting model 2018 and 2019, and not 2020 ?

    • @TwoWheelCruise
      @TwoWheelCruise  4 года назад

      No, the bikes are the same. The recall issue is traced to certain batches at certain fork manufacturing plants, so not all 2018/2019 bikes are affected, but the serial number needs to be checked to verify the origin.
