Listen that scene between Snaps, Pop&Raq is epic! The intensity of all that was being said and not said at the same time. One of my favorite scenes it was more subtle and calm but just as explosive as Diana's dinner scene. The monologues during Raq's meeting with Snaps&Pop and then towards the end, when she finally got Juliana top tier. The last time I've been in awe of characters monologues was in Scandal and HTGAWM. The acting on this show is absolutely phenomenal and I am saddned by the fact that our time with these characters is dwindling. Ghost was my favorite book, but RK has taken over for me. This season was great. Ep 8 may have been slow for some but I thoroughly enjoyed it, it's a good slow burn.

Things are about to get real harsh and ugly in these last few episodes. Unfortunately for Pernessa she said too much. She didn’t mean to, but she did. Ronnie will definitely connect Julianna’s death back to her, and once he does, Jerome is gonna end the season without both his father and his mother. Sadly, the same will likely end up being said about Gerald’s daughters. The irony of Marvin being a drug dealer with a soft spot for junkies is as comical as it is tragic. Him trying to achieve a more positive perspective on the person he sees looking back at him in the mirror through acts of kindness towards Sam and Gerald can only inevitably lead to him doing things that will once again make it difficult for Marvin to look into that mirror and see anything more deeper or profound than a drug dealing murderer. I think the stage is also being set for that being his downfall. Because he’s also a man who prides himself on being a gangster who does gangster shit. And sometimes gangsters take men from their children. In Gerald’s case that man is a criminal informant for the FBI
We gotta get atleast 8 seasons of this, so so much story to tell and then hopefully we get a young Tommy and ghost story spin off featuring some of these as side characters in that once this is all over.

The writers do a really good job of keeping the show about him even when it seems like it’s not about him. The six degrees of separation between his fuck ups and the problems that several key characters faced have been beautifully intertwined by the writers

Things are about to get real harsh and ugly in these last few episodes. Unfortunately for Pernessa she said too much. She didn’t mean to, but she did. Ronnie will definitely connect Julianna’s death back to her, and once he does, Jerome is gonna end the season without both his father and his mother. Sadly, the same will likely end up being said about Gerald’s daughters. The irony of Marvin being a drug dealer with a soft spot for junkies is as comical as it is tragic. Him trying to achieve a more positive perspective on the person he sees looking back at him in the mirror through acts of kindness towards Sam and Gerald can only inevitably lead to him doing things that will once again make it difficult for Marvin to look into that mirror and see anything more deeper or profound than a drug dealing murderer. I think the stage is also being set for that being his downfall. Because he’s also a man who prides himself on being a gangster who does gangster shit. And sometimes gangsters take men from their children. In Gerald’s case that man is a criminal informant for the FBI
