Solid video. About to change my plugs and coils on my 2004 Liberty.
Hello Brad I got 2004 as you, just for curious what type (Brand, type, gab) sparg plug you used?
@@richardgarcia6201 NGK Spark Plugs, model ZFR6F-11G Gapped to 0.040 in. When you lift your hood, there should be a sticker near the hood latch area that has this information on it in case you forget. Hope this helps. 🤙🏻
@@BradM766 are zfr6f-11g spark plugs the only way??
What Size socket for the spark plugs? Thanks for this video by the way.
16mm
16mm or 5/8.
thank you have to do this with my car it keeps jerkkng when accelerating changing those and the coilpacks or watever u call them. luckily have my bf to help guide me and this vid thank you. my biggest worry doing that 1st plug u did that 1 looks really far n there.
You dont really need to remove anything at all, as long as you have a 10mm socket and a few extension drives that will fit any ratchet, and a 5/8 magnetic socket to pull the plugs.
Thanks for the help!
I just got check engine ligh on and it shows up 3 codes P0300 , P0303, P0305 do you think if i change the spark plugs it Will fix the problem ?
Thank you for making this video I had to do plugs like that so yes your video was very helpful in so many ways.
instablaster...
Are the spark plugs factory gapped or does it need to be adjusted before putting them in???
They are typically gapped from the factory, but I always like to double check them before installation and adjust if necessary.
@@theservicestation9040 Thanks
Great video, Thanks man!
Nice video. Did you have to gap the plugs or were they the correct gap? If you did, what was it ?
Thanks for the feedback! They were pre-gapped, but I checked them all. If I recall the gap was .060” (sixty thousandths)
@@theservicestation9040 Thank You
which coil is it? Ignition Coil "D" Secondary Circuit
Coil d is usually cylinder number 4. You can google the firing order to find out which cylinder that is.
After u change your spark plug and your car don't wanna start what make that happen please
Best video hands down on this. Thank you.
Thanks!! Glad you enjoyed it.
Excellent video
That's a 5/8 socket in case anyone else was wondering.
great video man. thx a Bunch!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Do i need to change all the six if just one is bad??
+JULIO AUGUSTO it’s a good idea, especially for maintenance. But you do not have to change them all.
@@theservicestation9040 if it has less than 5k miles before one goes bad then you can replace just one. I replace them all because I get better deals for a set of them instead of just one.
You turned it 2/3 of 1/2 a turn after it touched, which is 1/3 turn.
You didn’t show how to get the coolant tank off
So when I am trying to remove my coil pack the top bolt that holds it in place is not moving, but the bottom bolt is moving. Any ideas on how to remove just the top bolt.
+Jeremy Mott I’m not entirely sure I understand what’s going on. There shouldn’t be more than one bolt holding the coil on. Is the brass insert in the manifold twisting and the bolt not loosening?
Good video
Marine'72 thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. I’ll be uploading some more spark plug replacement videos soon. Ford 3-Valve Triton engines and GM LS style engines. Thanks for watching!
Sir or anyone , where is the intake air temp sensor. I need to replace it.
what spark plug socket did you use , mine seem shorter than that?
nevermind I seen the the mac lol duhhh
Haha. You can use a shorter socket, but for the deep spark plug wells I like the extended reach versions. Glad you liked it!
5/8th
What hand drill was that you were using?
It’s a Snap On 3/8” micro lithium impact. Love it!!
The Service Station no what's the brand of that twirl tool your using I need that
Was it one of the power tools? One was a Snap On CT761 cordless impact wrench and the other was a Snap On CTR761 cordless ratchet. Milwaukee also makes some comparable tools which are available locally and they’re a little less expensive.
that very helpful , thanks

why does every videos on youtube have no info to take a coolant tank off?
Step 1: Don't watch a spark plug replacement video for info on coolant tank removal.
If you can’t figure out how to unscrew 2 bolts holding in the coolant tank on your own, probably should pay someone else to work on your car.. jus sayin
It would be the 10 mil!! I lose them all the time!
I just got a check engine light and the code says that Cylinder 2 is misfiring. Is it still necessary to remove the coolant tank and air intake duct in order to look at just that plug?
Zach Broughton you shouldn’t have to. The #2 cylinder is the front one on the passenger side so you just need to remove the coil and spark plug. If you haven’t replaced all the spark plugs in the last 30-50k miles I would go ahead and install a fresh set, but that’s up to you and your budget/time constraints. Thanks for watching!
Zach Broughton i got the samething how did it go?
