I’m spending way more on groceries but I filled up my car on March 16 and still have a half a tank left. Haven’t spent on hairdresser, nails and cancelled a routine dental appt. So I am saving on those things. Amazon does come to my house everyday so thats not good. I am elderly and live alone so I have to have some fun. Ha!
I went to Aldi for the first time in months last week "just for one thing" and probably spent close to an hour looking around and just enjoying seeing things (plus, spoiler alert, I got way more than 1 thing). It was glorious!
I have been spending way more than I did before the coronavirus, but I also don't spend any money on gas going to work. I only use my car for one or two errands a week in my town so I haven't had to fill my tank either. I have not eaten out, but get take out about once a week.
I shopped at Aldi for the first time since I was in middle school. I’m now 26, and I see why this was my moms favorite store when we were younger! I only spent $75 and ended up with a cart full. Can’t wait to go back for our next shopping trip!
I bet you even miss the Aisle of Shame! As it happens I went to Aldi this morning. They're doing a great job, IMO. They had a guy outside wiping down the carts and signs out front saying "Heroes Work Here." I have to say I got a little choked up when I saw the signs. Anyway I'm glad to see you're shopping at Aldi again -- or hubby is. And yes, those Girl Scout knockoff cookies are divine!
Love watching your videos especially during these hard times we’re trying to cut expenses on EVERYTHING. Lately pantry items in the cabinets are even starting to empty out, thinking of going to our local Aldis to restock. Glad to see they still have decent pricing while other places gouged ridiculously. Your videos are so motivating, whenever I know I’m slacking at adulting I watch you and get to it.
I love your grocery haul. I live in Louisiana. My school district is Acadia Parish which qualified for boxes of groceries for our children who were in PreK thru 12th grade this past school year. They received free shelf milk, individual containers of cereal, individual boxes of 100% grape, apple, fruit punch etc every 2 weeks from April thru August delivered from Houston thru UPS. This has helped me save money on groceries. My sons received each a box every two weeks.
Yess, I miss the finds at Aldi's too. I haven't been either. I normally hit my grocery store or Walmart like 7 and Aldi's open at 9, I'm back home by then. Stay well 😊
Grocery budget has gone up a bit, but more than offset by not eating out! Glad to see you back at Aldi. I've been shopping there this whole time and honestly I think it's the cleanest store in my area. Also the place where people are taking wearing masks the most seriously.
Thank you for sharing your Aldi Haul , your printables are such a blessing they have helped me to buy not items we don't need ,but at the same time I know what I have iny pantry and freezer. We got take out for the first Friday as well it was so good, our family's grocery budget has went down alot and we are saving so much money. Big hugs to you and your family.
For June I was able to do my monthly haul so 300 for one month, in previous months we was double the amount of money on food. So happy to be back to monthly shopping.
I went out for the first time Saturday, (been on lockdown since February) I was scared to get out of the car when my husband was running errands. Then I saw Aldi and had a change of heart...lol!!!
Aldi has their Aldi finds on there all the app and website a week in advance so you can always Scout if there's something that you want but a lot of times if somebody else wants it to they go quick! But you can have an aldis finds wishlist if they do have it you know what to look for.
Aldi has a great line of gluten free product's. My favorite is the cheese cake sampler. Thanks for bringing us into your home and sharing recipes, projects, grocery hauls, house keeping ideas and especially sharing your family time. Looking forward to your next video.
Oh another thing my kids loved the other day from aldi was the funnel cake mix! It’s a great summer treat since there will not be any fairs and it’s only 2.50 and make 4 large funnel cake and top them with whatever you want 😁 Maybe your girls will like them too! 😁
Hi Jia, I have failed miserably with my budget for this month. I’m headed over to Moms and Money to watch the video you just posted about cleaning up my budget. I have reset and do better for the month of June! Thanks for another great video 😀💞
Omg! My daughter and I love that soup & the broccoli cheddar soup. Couple it with bread sticks or the take & bake Italian bread with homemade garlic butter. It's Divine!! & French Green Beans or Salad chiiileee!
Groceries have sky rocketed! Ugh! Our son is a big foodie. Yes we do order out as well. You can't get around not buying food. Our bills are from two hundred to three hundred a week plus I have 2 dogs. Joan Bates
Our grocery bill is higher because we eat at home (drive thru once a week). But our gasoline and eating out has gone down. I am also stocking up our pantry and freezer.
At first I was thinking I was spending way too much on groceries but I was checking my monthly spending and I’m saving so much money by not eating out, prior to all this I basically grocery shopped twice a month and ate out a lot but that’s all changed and I’m saving a lot of $. Like you I’m also doing takeout once a week, if that.
I went back to Aldi for the first time this week too! I got a water park and kiddie pool for my toddler from the finds, plus some of our staples that we just can't find anywhere else! Plus it was gluten free week, so I got some gluten free ravioli and skillet meals that they don't usually have! Girl, check the Never Any brand chicken! We have Never Any and Simply Nature organic chicken at ours!
My grocery budget is through the roof! We are trying to do takeout once a week too to support local businesses. I love Aldi but have been sticking to Walmart for pickups so I don’t have to go into the store. I did go to Trader Joe’s last week and I think I’ll start switching off between that and Aldi with Walmart.
Glad to see you tried Aldi again. They have been doing a great job! Haven’t stopped shopping there since the start of everything and it’s been great. The grocery budget has skyrocketed but I’ve been buying much more than I generally do too. At this point though I think things are leveling out for us and we should be able to get back on track for the month of June.
Girl you got me so excited to go shopping again at Aldi! I normally go to Kroger or Meijer but I miss my Aldi trips. Loved your video and your organization of grocery shopping on a budget! Subscribing (:
I´m from Guatemala! I love that you love or coffee. Maybe you´ll come visit sometime (when coronavirus is over) and you´ll see everything else we have to offer.
Hello.. As always I enjoy your videos. I shop at Aldi alot. I didn't know they carry knock off girl scout cookies. Will have to check and see if my location near my house carry that. How is the jaime rice. I have seen that but haven't tried that yet....Tfs!
I wouldn't be surprised if the girl scouts "dupe" are the Coconut Dreams cookies by Keebler. I've suspected for years major brands are packaged for Aldi and other stores as well.
You can use your envelopes for your cash money when you go to the bank just wear your gloves come home and wash your money in the washing machine and dry it put it in a sock tie it in a knot or you can just throw the money in the washing machine by itself and dry it I subscribe I June 22nd 2020 Miss Vernell
Aldi and Lidl are not shops I go to. I went during the lockdown as I was looking for flour as we have a shortage due to children being off school and parents baking more. Their products are definetly cheaper but not sure enough to make me go back. I think also because there is none near where I live so the extra travel is not worth my while. Like Costco but not everything is cheap there, you have to do your research. Shop at Asda the UK version of Walmart, Iceland and sometimes Tesco and Sainsburys (UK supermarkets). If however Aldi is near you it is worth the trip.
Can you believe I've never been to Aldi?! I know I am missing out! My grocery budget is a little higher but we are only getting takeout (Chickfila mainly) every 2 weeks so we are saving on eating out!!!!! This pandemic made me realize that we ate out too much!
When you calculate the totals from each store, do you include the cost of the items that you give to your parents or sister? Even if you are covering the cost of those items, it might be realistic to set that as a different category so you can see the cost of food just at your house. Just an idea to give you more realistic numbers.
Aldi Belgium is the same with social distancing (1.5 meters), and the amount of people they let in. But a lot of people just leave their cart (which you need to compulsory take to keep distance) and just roam between the aisles! It's infuriating. Aldi & Lidl are the only shops we go to. Sometimes (2 times a year) Colruyt (which is not unlike CostCo in the US).
I love Aldi coffee more than any other brand... I panic bought expensive grocery store (Price Chopper) brand coffee and I regretted that purchase so much. I am sure I paid twice as much and it was weak and just not the same.
@@MarriageMotherhood yes girl...they sell organic chicken breasts and organic whole chickens. It's usually next to the the Never Any chicken products...it has dark green packaging. In my area it is about $5.98/lb. It's really good!
Those who have tried all the Aldi single origin coffees, which is the most like a coffee shop? I don't like coffee that is very acidic, fruity, or smokey.
@@a_noelles I picked up the Columbia and I love it. It's smooth and not smoky it can stand up to creamer. I normally like medium roast but I remember the Guatamala one was a touch fruity.
My only problem with aldi is the size of the products. I have a 23 yr old here with me who eats eats. Its more economical to shop at Costco or shop rite.

We're definitely spending more on groceries too. But spending WAY less on everything else helps even it out. I'm missing the Aldi finds too!!
My husband hates going down that aisle (Aldi Finds) because I always buy something! Stay safe & healthy! Xoxo
Mine too!!💜
I love Aldi's. I love watching you these video so that I can pick up new products when I shop. Thank you for posting

So cute with your little helpers tapping each item with you!
Those little fingers pointing and helping were so cute😘
I love going to Aldi myself; so I feel you completely on your budget

I always shopped at Aldi when I lived in Wisconsin. Now living in Arizona and missing the awesome prices.

Yes they have organic chicken in my Aldi in Maryland

I miss you going to Aldi. I’m excited they are building an Aldi down the street from me.
Eating out is a treat for us since we're a family of 6. So, it really hasn't changed drastically, but we have saved more money since all this began.
Aldi has a great line of gluten free product's. My favorite is the cheese cake sampler. Thanks for bringing us into your home and sharing recipes, projects, grocery hauls, house keeping ideas and especially sharing your family time. Looking forward to your next video.

Alidi by Me is a big one. Got so much good stuff
I got the Duplex cookies this week at Aldi’s....they are great! They taste just like the Oreo ones, in my opinion! 😋

Our aldi in nj has organic chicken but it's way expensive even pre rona!
I wouldn't be surprised if the girl scouts "dupe" are the Coconut Dreams cookies by Keebler. I've suspected for years major brands are packaged for Aldi and other stores as well.
Hey girls !! Fab haul hun xx

Very true. Much smaller portions
