What’s the farthest you’ve ever ran?

16 miles
training for half marathon in dallas, come run it man would be sick! could be your long run for the week. def feel like we could kick it
23K
6 miles
I started running exactly 7 days ago and the only reason I started running was to be fit, have a better stamina for football and I'm finding it really challenging but at the same time I loved it and I wanna go deeper in running, thank you for the tips and motivation♥️
Still going?
“Change the way you measure success.” So grateful for your encouragement, Nico! Also, super inspiring to know you only started running seriously a couple years ago. It’s helpful to know that lots of progress can be made in a short amount of time with consistency and hard work.
I've been running for about 6 weeks. I started because I'm 48, 50lbs overweight, and very out of shape. Over the last 10 years I've started uncounted fitness programs. This is what they usually amounted to: Strength 3 days per week, cardio 2 days per week, get on a good diet. Goals: Get strong, lose weight, get in shape. What ended up happening was 1-4 weeks in I'd burn out, get injured or just feel like a failure because I hadn't lost weight or accomplished any of those nebulous goals.
This time, I did something totally different. Three goals: 1. Run a minimum of three days per week. 2. Get better at running. 3. Don't get hurt.
And something amazing has happened. I'm succeeding! I don't know if I've lost weight and I don't care. That wasn't a goal. I've averaged 3.4 runs per week so super successful there. I started out running a total of 12minutes with two walking breaks spread between running and now I'm up to a total of 26 minutes running with only 4 minutes of walking. So I'm getting a LOT better at running. And I haven't hurt myself.
Most importantly for the first time in my life I'm enjoying running. Not every run. Some are good and some less good. But at least half the time I finish and I think, "Damn! That was awesome. You killed it Corwin!" And that feeling of accomplishment and success will keep me going on this path when I've fallen by the wayside so many other times in my life.
(And pre-empting all the people who will tell me I need to add strength or do this or that in order to get the most out of running. Yeah. You are right. This isn't an "optimal" plan. But I'd much rather have a plan that I continue to do than a more complicated and "better" one that leads me to do nothing.)
Your every word is so practical, I'm trying to get fit for several years now , same get burns out pretty quickly, this year I took it more seriously, but it's always a struggle . Anyway I took a screenshot of your comment, cause it resonates with me so much . I don't know if I'll feel the feeling of accomplishment ( that lies with my other personal problem) but I'll start running and keep this message in my mind. Thank you stranger, you made my day❤
"Just felt like running"
- Forrest Gump 1994
This line always keep me motivated to keep joggin every morning .
No hate but this was a very hard video to watch if your objective is to learn how to be a runner because the camping and family stuff in my opinion is mixed up with the actual running tips and its just hard to get the information when its mixed with other things.sorry just pointing it out
Well it’s okay to say your opinion, but in my opinion, that he incorporate family in the video makes it more comfy to watch.
This video was clearly aimed at people who watch his usual content. But I just barely started watching him and utterly enjoyed this video. Like everything about it made me feel so warm and good inside on top of the learning aspect. Keep storytelling and making videos like these please!
I agree with this guy who you commented on, I came to find out how to be a better runner and he just wasn’t saying anything for like 10-11 minutes he just wanted to make his video longer for monetization purposes

Incredible video man. The shots, the content, amazing. Can tell hard work is going into these
Thank you so much!
I came across your RUclips shorts and you've truly inspired me to start my running journey as well. I've never been good at running, never liked it but always wanted to get into it. Thank you for sharing your journey and tips with us, your video quality is incredible!
I’m a high school runner and your tips and advice have really made me enjoy running a lot more
Once I came across you on shorts, you were such a motivator for me. I find myself so much more accountable for my runs and I am excited to train for my xc season this summer.
Day is elevated ⬆️ when Nico Felich uploads
Yea I love his videos it’s the best part of my day I would do anything to meet him
Facts
Down bad
Thanks for the motivation! I’m a super beginner and training for my first 5k in a few months. I’m still walking/running together but I’m being consistent and I’m excited about running ❤ these tips were awesome 👍
The quality of your videos is amazing 🙌🏽 just started running about 2 weeks ago. I’m trying to move up to at least 4 miles of run/walk but in this Texas weather it’s hard 😩
Texas heat is brutal! Thanks for the support🙏🏼
go early in the morning
I’ve been waking up at 5-5:30 am to get my run in before the heat gets bad🥲
Great advice! I’m 41, a mom of 2, and a former D3 basketball player. I ruptured my Achilles about 7 months ago. I decided after that that I’m going to become a runner. I always hated running, like you, and would go as hard as possible. Going slow has been huge. Not only can I go longer but I am actually enjoying it. Some people have made comments about how slow I’m running but I have to go easy (still rehabbing) and I want to go slow and build up. You’re half my age so I wish I figured it out sooner but better late than never.
Ruptured my Achilles as well, a little over a year ago in March. It's a brutal injury, however it gets better... I have been running some and doing intermittent fasting to loose some weight, down 30lbs so far. As a tip slow walk backwards some, it really has helped strengthen my Achilles post injury! Wishing you a fast recovery!
Yoo Let's go Nico!!! I just finished my first 5k race last weekend and ran 21:34, 18 thoverall, 1st in my age group so not bad!!! And yr right bro Eliud is too good, he is a human not limited!
I have been running for about 6 years, but your videos inspire me to actually get serious about running, and they make me want to train harder. Thanks nico!!❤️
That means everything to me! Thank you so much for the support!
The last tip is the best.. I am new to running but quickly find out I only need to be better than my yesterday self.
However one more thing should be added to this and you missed it - there are gonna be bad days.
This is looking like a channel that I'll fall in love with, I'm gonna be addited to it if all the videos have this type of fun vibe that we all miss, we all forgot how to have real fun being out because of the social media hahahahahaha
I felt like I just went on a cinematic adventure. The town looks fun to run in. Lots of flat and straight 😆 much like my hometown. Cheers!
i have a crush on your videography skills
Amazing tips, this series is so perfect for my goal of running a 1/2 marathon this summer, honestly what I look forward to every week now. Do you have any tips for someone/a runner who is trying to go from tracking to intuitive eating coming from an ED?
Those thunders looked so cool omg. I love it when it rains heavy and there're thunders, like I'm scared but it also feels so amazing idek 💀
I love thunderstorms!
Thank u very much Nico! because the way I run has been changed literally already! It’s getting better every time I’m going out for running! I’m trying each time to remind my self of those advices that u have shared it with us and one of them is when u tried every time to remind us that we have to be the best version of ourselves and not comparing it with others. I’m really very thankful for u and appreciate every single thing that u share it with us. God bless u 🙏🏻✨
I just wanted to get into running as i stopped dplaying soccer and missed moving my bodythis helpd out a lot, great video quality too!
Running is the best and your videos keep me inspired to keep going!
Started running to live in the moment and enjoy nature more
Thank you. I’m 52 and going to take up running. Your tips were helpful and encouraging.
She's absolutely correct about evenly toasting and not burning the marshmallows.
Pro Tip: place chocolate on the gram cracker and leave near the fire so that the chocolate melts and gram cracker gets toasty
love these long form videos man. keep it up.
nico! I’m a new runner training for my first half marathon. ur vids are inspiring bro, love ur positive energy & chill vibes bro! love from Toronto Canada dude
I didn't realise the comparison thing really effects me, going to work on that, great video :)
So easy to get caught up in comparison. Just have to keep consistently reminding yourself not to! Thanks so much for the support
Sir, what did you use to film the camping trip? The evening shots are crazy good.... (I love the style and colors)
only feeling and gaol bro can bring people to runner.
Nico, not sure if you read these comments, but it's really cool seeing your channel. I used to coach your bro (Jordan) in club soccer. My son is a highly competitive soccer player, but really loves running. I show them your videos all of the time! Keep it up!
Awesome! I remember you coaching Jordan back at toca! Thank you for the support, I hope you're doing well!
How do you focus on just running and not the thought of “ugh when will this run be over with” or the million other things you need to get done in a day as a student?
Podcasts and audiobooks! You’ll be amazed at how many books you can get through. Sometimes you’ll be excited for a 10 mile run because you’ll get to reach a part of your book that you’re interested in
hey dude great vid I was just wondering what are those coordinates tattooed on your left arm?
Great video! Can’t wait to keep up with this sub 3 journey!!
What an amazing video! You create motivating content and we enjoy watching videos on your running journey and how running is a benefit to anyone. Thank you bro.
Been loving your recent content man. Keep up the great work, thank ya.
Love your vlogs nico🫶🏽, I love running and just fitness in general, but my friends are so lazy😭
Great quality of this video, is like a movie trailer ,,,
Video quality is out of this world
I just started jogging and documenting at 390 pounds. Thanks for the inspiration.
Started couch to 5K - big goal is half marathon but stepping into with 5K then 10k then half. Got fitted for shoes and WOW the difference in just cranking out 3 miles with my Brooks is night and day. The bounce, stability and cushioning made it comfortable and fun. You really are good at this - thx for sharing your journey
Thanks so much for the support! Keep up the solid work 🙏🏼
During CrossFit workouts if I saw running in it I’d just not go. Since consistently watching your marathon series, I’ve chosen to go to those workouts for the past couple weeks. Thanks for giving me the boost I needed!!
Let’s go!!! So glad the series has helped you🙏🏼
Hey Nico, do you have any tips about like pre- run prep? Is there anything to drinking water before or eating versus not eating before? I am always tripped up on what to do with that
Love your videos. The content gets better and better each week!
Thank you so much! I appreciate that!
Love your videos Nico! Keep up the good work, keep inspiring ⭐️
I've always wanted to be a runner.
Hey Nico, great video! I'm coming from the same background, a soccer player that hated running. I've decided to do a half this year and am just starting to run seriously. I've found your tips to be incredibly helpful in the short time I've been training. LIke you mentioned, running was often used as a punishment in soccer. Changing my mindset about running really made the difference. The other tips like staying consistent and keeping it fun are also spot on. Thanks for sharing, looking forward to seeing your journey.
Just finished my first half marathon and stumbled upon your channel! I’m also from Az and you inspire me to keep training for more:)
I can't even run.more than 3 minutes!! Hahah your very lucky but I'm going to try your tipa
Made 3d scan and walking analysis, bought the asics Gel Kayano Lite 3 and for the first time in my life. Had no pain when running
what running watch do you use?
I use the Coros pace 2!
great video! super fun and motivational! ...and even though I´m from Europe, I ve actually been to Elbing / Potwin KS and I remember the people to be the most friendly! really loved the place.
I haven’t started running but I bought a pair of Alphaflys and now I’m here because I dont want to feel like I wasted money😅
I hate running soooo much but my friend convinced me to join cross country and I hate it but I really do want to get better run farther and enjoy it i've watched so many videos like this with the same advice but it never works and i'm starting to feel hopeless but I don't want to give up. I need really good advice please!
Cant wait for my invincible 3 to arrive and start runnin
this has nothing to do with running but could u make a video on what kinda equipment you use and how you make your thumbnails
YES
Do you have any tips for someone/a runner who is trying to go from tracking to intuitive eating coming from an ED?
Pretty cool to see how you started as a soccer player and you transitioned into running. I just ran my first marathon this year. Still rather run with a ball at my feet though haha.
Great content, great video! Keep the coming bro!
I’ve been taking it little by little. Been running a half a mile everyday, hurt my knee somehow. I’m hoping to get better at running a further distance through time.
Best episode yet. Beast.
Thank you!!! I appreciate that!
6:01 casually talking about s'mores while lightning goes off in the background
Wow, just from the split-second soccer picture I can tell you went to Masters University. I live nearby, so cool!
Marshmallows should, in fact, be on fire in 3 seconds!!
I love the vibe you have e with family
What are you running from? Always try running off the roads where motor vehicles and cyclists travel. Runners & walkers please be as courteous and considerate as possible and move as far as possible to the side to avoid accidents with oncoming cyclists. Especially important on roads with motor vehicles.
love your video Nico, love from Indonesia
These videos are so inspiring. I kind the running montages. How do you film those? Someone on a bike or car?
Oh my goshie this vid is so great!!!
Your video is refreshing and thanks for the tips. I appreciate it. Good clean content. Do you have a music playlist? Interested and wondering what you listen to as you run. 💪🏾❤️💯
i feel like you should probably blur the coords on your arm
Great vid bro this will def help a lot of people
Great video and tips
Might as well ask some questions, do you wear your watch all the time? and for the electrolytes, do you drink the entire bottle after the run or some before and some after?
Bro, what a editing! Well done once again
Thank you!!
Running is all about the process ✌
Fact
That little town is beautiful ❤
You're vlogs are so feel good!!
Thank you so much!
love how you gives us tips in the middle of hunting a snake 💀
Never found the snake unfortunately…
When u mentioned ticks i cringed. I got lymes disease pretty bad in the prime of my career i would say and it fucked me up for over a year. Just a reminder for any runners or people in woods check for ticks those little bugs can mess u up in the biggest way.
You should try out jack daniels 2Q program for marathons doing it right now to break 3 hrs in milwaukee this october tough but very good plan
No way, I've actually been to Elbing
You’ve got a great taste in music! Awesome video! Does anyone know the song names??
My max is like one quarter of a mile which is 400 meters but I’m this is my first day of running
Amazing advice my friend thank you
Found your channel last week! Love your content and style!! Which camera do you use?
Thank you!! I use a Sony A7iv
Nice vid! Could you make a video about your previous soccer life? Would love it!
Hi from Paraguay 🇵🇾😁
Hello!
Hey nico!dyou experience injuries e.g bilateral groin strain from ur trainings? How dyou cope with them?
Really enjoyed this video !! 🤝
Cool video man how long did it take for you to become, this good.
Those Kansas cinematics were beautiful man!
Kansas is amazing
ID on those Nikes in the beginning ?
Which watch are you wearing?
Anyone know what song was playing in the running montage?
I love the small town vibe
It’s the best
Not the point of the video. But I’m questioning my entire future now. And now I wanna live in a rural Kansas City and camp out like your family does and make s’mores
Kansas is lowkey a vibe
What do you mean you've never had a tick?! How is that possible? Missouri must be a different world. 😄
