I really like this couple. Initially I like the Emperor because he was really cute and devoted to her but as the drama gets longer, I get a bit tired because he just doesn't seem to grow up. The only thing I really like about the Emperor is his love is not swayed no matter how suspicious he is of her. As for Wang Yu, they are just not meant to be, they do things for each other without the other knowing. It's big sacrifice in the name of love but it's also what keeps them apart. That's why I really like Tal Tal and SeungNyang, they may see things differently but they understand each other, she always comes to him for help and he helps her, but not without thinking about the consequences and always gives her useful advice. I didn't ship them in the beginning but at the end, when I think back about the characters, this couple left the deepest impression. I think in a modern drama or in real life, this couple would be much more possible than the other two.
Wonderfully stated 👏 . I didn't realise I cried so much at that ending not because of the emporor but it was more because of Taltal. The guy just sneakily wormed his way into my heart and I wasn't paying much attention to him as a love interest 😅. Kudos to the writers for this 👏
i knew it , Wang Yu is Lady Ki's True Love, Emperor is Lady Ki's Greatest Love, but Tal Tal is Lady Ki's Secret Love.. I Could tell by the way she cried upon knowing her Ever Loyal shining Armor is dead defending her Kingdom on the last episode.
I do not believe Wang Yu was her "True Love". I think Seung Nyang confused respect, friendship, gratitude and physical attraction for romantic love. I do believe she loved Toghon, however she did so mostly in a familial way. With Tal Tal I see their relationship as being that of soulmates. They had an understanding, supportive, respect-filled,sexually attracted and admiring love. I believe that had circumstances been different they would have become romantically involved.
They would be the best couple ever. Their chemistry is amazing. Both wise, smart and following their goals while helping each other. They were the greatest characters…I cannot forgive the end with the announce regarding taltal. I cried as never.
i read an article the truth about ha ji won and jin yi han they were supposed to really have a love line in empress ki but it was changed by the writer because theres too much love line so they it as student and teacher relationship but still i wish they did not changed the idea of the two of them having love line
They have fictionalized history anyway they could have gone all the way and recreate an unknown part of Lady Ki's story. Apparently history books have n naccount of Lady Ki's escape and whereabouts to the north after Yuan was invaded so they could have written a more beautiful ending there. ..
And I thought I was the only one who thought they would be a good couple.. They really should have put those two together in the end it would have been such a better story since she wouldn’t end up alone and they understand each other a lot and help each other too
Y’all forget that empress ki is based on a true life event, if it was just imagined by anyone I’m sure she and wang yu would have ended up together But it’s a historic event

I also like the part when tal tal ask nyan to read the book about how to read men's heart😊 when nyan ask him how to govern man's heart tal tal was surprised he can't answer that's why he just said Enough reading😂 i think that's tal tal way to nyan to notice that he's fallen for her🥰 but nyan did not notice it sad.
Tal Tal secretely loved Empress K, but the Empress respected Tal Tal as her mentor. I would have loved a love story between the two. The chemistry was everything. Wang Yu loved the Empress and would do anything to make sure she was safe but that was all. The Emperor was crazily in love with the Empress and could not live without her. For me, the Emperor was the right man for the Empress. He was willing to give up his throne to be with her unlike Wang Yu, who wanted the Throne and the empress. He put the people first before her.
i don’t know why ppl get so confused with seungnyang’s feelings. if u analyze it more u will notice seungnyang was into tahwan at first. but the betrayal happened so it stopped. then wang yu came into the picture. their love for each other happened so fast like all of a sudden they’re in love w each other. that’s also why when wang yu proposed to her she was having second thoughts, remembered ta hwan and cried. that’s why she didn’t accept the proposal at first. what she felt for wang yu was more like admiration, gratitude and infatuation. he was her hero and the king of goryeo. she looked up to him. he saved her. she did love him tho especially she was the father of her child. but u can see that her feelings for the emperor grew more strongly as time passes by. she was in denial at first and that she’s starting to feel afraid. and the moment she fell for the emperor, what she only felt for wang yu was care. and nah, she didn’t love wangyu till he died. ppl are so confused by it. she even said to ta hwan that someday he will know her feelings. and that’s also why she’s more concerned about tahwan’s feelings when he killed wang yu. that’s also why she was so afraid that he will leave her or be done with her. whenever she’s with wang yu, she’s so formal. but whenever she’s with tahwan she can be herself. she can be silly, playful, she can joke around, she smiles a lot, she laughs a lot at the final scene, it showed the scene where she chooses tahwan over wang yu then rode the horse together with him. it can be interpreted in many ways. even though the path that she will take with ta hwan is rough and painful, she will always choose ta hwan. wang yu may be her first love but ta hwan is her greatest love. .
