AT 6:30 I just had to freeze it and just look at her waving goodbye...just the realization that she's really gone...this one hit me really hard...just so sad...but we have to rest in the knowledge of her legacy. Grease will always be with us and the beautiful music she made. She will always be young with that bright beautiful smile and look so gorgeous.

My mom used to always say how much I loved this movie when I was about 3-5 years old and would jump around and dance when they all danced. I don’t remember much of the movie tbh cause I was so young, but for some reason, when I see Travolta, I feel like I remember this movie and it puts a smile on my face. I’m feeling very nostalgic right now. Miss you mom.

Listen...that outfit on Olivia Newton John is one of the greatest and most iconic outfits I've ever seen on screen.
I know a lot of young gentlemen like that outfit. But I think they would change their minds just a bit if they found out that the production crew sewed her into those pants. That would have been very uncomfortable. But she performed that number very well. I was disheartened when I heard about the demise of Olivia Newton John. The 70's wasn't such a great time in America, crime waves, political assassinations, organized crime, gangs... this musical/movie, came out and was the RAGE, kids were dancing on cars, airwaves played the soundtrack NON stop. It was a welcome relief from the turmoil. I don't think that kind of cultural impact is possible nowadays . Such a fun time, that summer in 78.

I was 7 years when I watched this movie and watching Olivia Newton in this scene actually gave me goose bumps. Too young to understand the goosebumps and chills

I was just a little older but the same reaction happened to me. She already had my heart from earlier scenes, but this scene opened up a whole new world for me. Then, in 1982, I met MY real life Sandy and it all made sense. However understanding the sense of it all and having the courage to ACT on that understanding are two separate things. Sadly, in 1985, I lost my Sandy and have been doomed to a life of unhappiness and romantic failure ever since. I soon will die and die a lonely old man who is romantically all alone. The moral of this story is… when YOU find YOUR Sandy, ACT on it and don’t ever let her go. Don’t let shyness betray you.

This was on TV recently and it was so funny because I’m in Germany, and they dubbed the scenes where people talk, but the songs are original audio with translated subtitles. So for the last song, they subtitled the whole boogywoogychingchangwow bit. Someone had to type that shit out.

Rest In Peace, Olivia. You were a huge part of my early high school years. I remember my dad taking me to see Grease in Utah. After, I went with others at least 4 times.
We lived in Sandy, Cottenwood Canyon. Each trip to SLC took us awhile to get to the theaters. It was worth it! Especially as a young teenage girl.
You will be greatly missed. 💕💕

i have so many fond memories watching grease with my grandma who also passed away this year. i know ppl dont agree with the message behind grease but when i was a kid, in my head i always imagined sandy dressed in sexy black and leather clothes because she finally found the confidence to experiment with that style. she portrayed both the sweet and sultry sides of sandy so incredibly well. she was such an icon to me. rest in peace oliva, you will be dearly missed.

My heart is heavy and broken with the loss of Olivia Newton-John, who passed away this last week. Our world lost one of the greatest human beings of our time. When I look back at the era in which she gave such love and devotion to us with her incredible, amazing, voice of an angel from heaven, I always regarded her as one of the best of the best. And now we face a world without her gentle soul to influence, inspire, and help us feel better about the aspects of life. She will be so sorely missed. But, on the other hand, I’m also glad she no longer must struggle with her terrible battle with cancer and that she is finally at peace. But God Almighty… I will miss her so!! A legend. A true star. An angel from heaven. The best of the best! Thank you dear Olivia for all that you gave us for so many years. You will always be in my heart until my final breath. I’m hopelessly devoted to you! I love you…. I honestly… love you…
