I want this played at my funeral and I use to be a drug addict. I am 62 years old now and have end-stage liver disease from having Hep C and not knowing it for many years. The Lord did cure me of my Hep C, but my liver is still shot. Myself and my husband use to go see Chris Rice when I was a baby, Christian. I got saved at age 28. The Lord has been faithful and loving all these years even when I fell away for a few years. Cry to Jesus, Cry to Jesus, Cry to Jesus and live.
God bless you 😇❤️ I’m listening this... many times especially the past week. My dad is on his death bed now. He’s so emotional now and his eyes are fixed on the ceiling. I believe he’s seeing angels 🙌

My children also know that I want this played at my funeral too. It speaks the love of God in a way that is so precious & priceless that you can't help but give all glory to Christ!
I am no longer afraid to cry to Jesus or to dance for Jesus. There are days to cry and there are days to dance. Both are welcomed by Jesus. No more pride for me. Just the freedom to love like I have never loved before with tears, laughter, and joy...whatever the situation calls for. This makes me alive. This makes me broken. This makes me whole. I depend on the Lord God. This is life.
When I was an atheist, and my wife was dragging me to church, someone sang this one week. Something about the song reached into the depths of my hardened heart and the Holy Spirit softened something. This was the moment I began my journey back to the arms of my Savior, and I can't listen to this song without tears coming to my eyes.
i played this song for my husband who was 34 at the time just this past October 14, 2015 as he was lying in a hospital bed. He was a diabetic and he had lapsed into a coma. As the song sang "fly to Jesus" one last time...he took his last breath and his heart stopped. He left behind him six beautiful children and a wife and family who love him very much. He had a lot of hardship just before he passed, but as I listened to this song with him, as we heard those words "fly to Jesus" for the last time, I was blessed by that moment, because it was in that very moment that I knew he had flown to Jesus. May God bless you on this day Jc, as well as every day. We all love you and miss you very much.
This song was sung by our good brother & pastor at thd time. 14 years ago, when my daughter was killed in an acciden. It meant a lot to me & my daughter before she died & The Lord put it on my heart for it to be in her service so people would smile, just as He did when He had us starr the service with Audio Adrenaline's song, "Big House," one of her fsvorite camp songs. She wanted to take people with her to Heaven. .she's still a missionary today, long years after flyin to Jesus...so, listen to this song & sing it from your heart. SO thankful to God she knew Jesus!!! We hope you do, too!!! ✝️💞🕊
This is my wife’s life in a song. I lost her in January at 50 years old. I miss her and will love her forever. I imagine her running to the arms of Jesus. I wait for the day when I will see her again. Love you forever Kim.
One of the most profoundly stated, moving modern hymns written. This song tugs on every emotional/spiritual heartstring I have. Chris Rice, I will be forever grateful to you, if for only this one song. God Bless.
Such simple words of encouragement to share everything with Christ until we fly to Jesus and spend eternity with him. This song always touches my heart.
Every single time I listen to this beautiful hymn my heart is full to bursting and I can't contain the tears. What a gift. Thank you, Chris Rice and thank you Lord Jesus.
I have been feeling very, very low and I heard this song for the first time on the radio Sunday night and tears just poured down my face. They didn't announce the name of the song or who sang it but when I Googled the two lyrics I remembered, this was one of the videos I found. I'm so glad I found it and could read the words as I listened. Thank you.
I have not listened to this song for a long while...it was played at my son's funeral. The words are so beautiful...and my son was a snow boarder so when I think of him flying to Jesus, I see him on what I call "Angel Mountain" riding the fresh powder every day. after 2 years, I cannot hear this without tears...
This song was on a streaming channel that I was listening to as I took care of my parents in the last year of their lives. They died one month apart. The song was so poignant and it help me articulate what my heart was feelin. I loved singing the last verse, gently to my mother. "Fly to Jesus" reminded us daily that cancer and death are events, but they don't claim our soul. We were bought with the precious blood of Christ Jesus.
I have been singing this song all day as my best friend Mary is in Intensive Care and the doctors are not optimistic that she will make it. I love this song and if my sweet Mary passes on to Heaven, I want her to fly to Jesus and live, and be out of her misery and pain. God bless all of you, thank you Chris Rice for writing this beautiful song that has been on my heart all day. Even as I cry, I know in my heart she will be happy and in God's glory.
Hi. My name is Tyler. I am 15 years old, and will turn 16 on September 18, 2017. I love this song because it reminds me of my grandfather. My grandfather was my best friend, there was nobody in life I loved more. But on October 21, 2007; my grandfather passed away from brain cancer. On October 21, 2017- a month and 3 days after my birthday- will mark the 10 year mark of my grandfathers death. Every time I listen to this song and save a place for me by Matthew west; I cry. And I know my grandfather wouldn't want me to cry, but I do anyways. On that day, I will be more sad than ever. So please; pray for my grandpa's family and for him to have a wonderful time in heaven on October 21, 2017.
Tyler, i just read your post from 2 years ago. On October 26, 2007, i too lost my best friend in the world... My grandfather as well. It never has gotten easier, but the memories i have and cherish keep me moving in the direction Pa world want me to. But Tyler, if you feel like crying friend, cry. He's with you then too. God gave us all the ability to cry for a reason... Thank you for your post. I'm writing it in tears as well.
This song makes me cry as well! 7 years ago this week I lost my precious big sister to cancer, and I can't help but think how she flew into Jesus' arms away from this cruel and wicked earth....I miss you, Cissy! Rest in Jesus loving arms until I get there, and I will see you once again! Love you!
I've never listened to this song without crying. Tears of joy, pain, and gratitude to the one who loves us so much. Thank you God, for this life, and our life to come.
I love this song so much! A beautiful testimony at Church today reminded me of this song!! The song also is a beautiful " testimony" that all of need to be ready for him!!❤❤
Wow I'm blessed to hear this song... I'm in awe of you Jesus. If youre reading this and dont understand the Jesus hype Just simply say "God, I want to know the truth, Please God tell me the truth" Then dont count the things that follow in either the next moment or next day or week as coincidence... God bless you!
A great worshipful song showing what basic sort of steps that all will take in their life if they are shown and walk with Christ. This is a timeless piece from Chris, good for all times and generations.
I woke the other morning and this song was in my mind… hadn’t heard it for years… It was exactly what I needed to hear… Such poignant poetry and beautifully put to music…. Thank you 🙏
great song, thank you. I buried too many family members, and this helps me cry to Heal. my first sent went home Oct 1996 when I sung this song to him. Glory to God, through Jesus . Amen
This is one of the most beautifully written, beautifully and passionately, lovingly and softly sung songs/hymns by far of all time!!!!! Thank you and GOD bless you richly Chris Rice!!! I bet you had no idea at the time, The Lord would use you to one day minister to yourself, but you must be, because you sang it by The Spirit of GOD.

Lying here in a hospital bed after a heart attack. Listening to this song for the fifth time, and tears streaming. Thy will be done. Whatever may come. I fall to you Jesus. And if I fly... I will fly to you my Lord and Savior.
My brother and I played this together in our church the week before he walked away from Christ. He is slowly coming back. I loved hearing this and remembering all the music we played together when he was living for our Lord. Thanks a ton for blessing us with this!
I'm tired of listening to self indulgent and banal songs that just say "love you Jesus". But I could never tire of listening to this. In its simplicity and authenticity it is incredibly powerful. How can it be that the gospel message is so simple when it expresses the unfathomable riches of God's love and mercy? Thank you Chris.
This song was played at the funeral of a young man today and it was a comfort to me. If only more people young and old would come to Jesus and put their burdens on him. Praise be to God as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be world without end.
I pray for you, my sister. 🙏 I too am a recovering drug addict and like yourself, have found peace that overcomes all fear! His way is so simple, once we take up our cross and follow Him. Believing becomes knowing, as we trust in the total love of Jesus Christ! Praise GOD! ❤️
This song touched me so much, my mom passed at the beginning of this new year, and I feel lost and lonely, though i have family, I feel I am in hiding.. I am not emotional, but this song brings out all the emotions that I want to express for Jesus and My family.. I pray that one day I will have the strength to open my heart to all I love before I fly to Jesus ♥♥♥ I want to live
This song was played at my grandfather's burial service... They released a dove symbolizing the spirit flying to the Lord... I still tear up when I hear this... I still miss him..... I want to see him again... Thanks for posting
i listen this song everytime i woke up everymorning it gives my strenght to face every adversity and more closer to God as i live this difficult thing called life....thank you Father God...to all the glory and honor. to you all
My 93 year old Mother passed Saturday morning. I have always loved this song and am listening often these last couple days. It underscores that Mom has moved her spirit to the place it was bound. She has flown to Jesus. Amen. Amen.
I first heard this song 11 or 12 yrs ago & was touched to my core. As a Christian, every verse deeply spoke to my heart. When my mother passed away 4 yrs ago, I requested the musician play & sing this song as a testimony. For the rest of my life, it will hold a special place in my heart. Thank you, Chris, for this gift.
Please pray for my 25 yr old daughter, who now thinks she's an atheist. She sang this song as an audition tape for a singing scholarship when she started college. Sadly, she let college and it's secular crap change her. I want her singing it again someday and meaning it again. She so lost and doesn't know it.
this is the most beautiful song ever.My mom died when i was seven, 5 years ago.And this song gets me through each day until i get to see her again in heaven
A friend of mine died recently, and everytime I listen to this song I think of him and cry every time... Dear lord, please take care of him, and I know u do what u do cause you love us.. The lord is my light in the darkest of times. Love u lord forever and always!
Wish I could’ve sang this to my uncle Kevin … He was such a good man words cannot describe how loving that man was . Hope he is looking down on all of us now from the best place where one could be!!
This song reminds me of David G. who was hit and killed on his bicycle 6 years ago because it was played at one of the many memorial services on campus the day after he died at 19. It's so sad when any young person dies, but we and so many knew and loved David. College bands across the country played tributes to him that year! It really was amazing. The consolation is that when we know Him, we do meet Jesus face to face and we live, like this song says. And David knew and loved Jesus.
This is one of my very favorite Christian songs. I first remember hearing it in the dead of night many years ago while on a road trip with my family. Thank you for the video. God be with you out there everybody. ✝️ :)
THANK YOU!!!! A song with just the words and music! What a sad rarity! Our home church can actually sing along to this one because there are no unnecessary distractions! Keep up the good work!
I'm 66 with many health issues and this joyful masterpiece is my theme song. It will be sung at my memorial service and I know it will bring some comfort to the friends and family who are there. Fly to Jesus!
This is one of my favorite songs it brings me close to god every time i listen to it. Everytime i listen to it an image of my grandfather and jesus with thier arms around each other like thier best friends and thier smiling.:) It makes me happy to think that all my grandfathers and jesus are up in heaven waiting for us saying it wont be very long. This song truley keeps hope in my heart no matter how hard things can get! If i have a probem i can just fall on Jesus.
Also I want this sung at my homegoing. I first heard it years ago at my Bible teachers funeral and fell in love with it and we sing it at my church today. Thank you Chris and Jesus.
This is my new favorite song. I totally love it. It's so sweet and simple and perfect. I love his voice singing and the musical instruments in the background and the message of the song. I want this song at my funeral.
Thank you so much for sharing this. I want to sing it for a Special at my Church, but I know I'd never be able to do it without crying. Jesus is so wonderful. This song is the perfect picture of the Christian walk with Christ. It reminds me of all the goodness! It also reminds me of my dear Grandpa who passed away this year... He flew to Jesus, and I wish I could have been there when he died. I have a hard time forgiving myself for missing it. There is something so special about being there when a loved one takes their final breath... and I wish I would have sung this song to him. He was born again, but he suffered so much with guilt and regret for many mistakes he'd made in his life. I know he would have loved to hear this beautiful hymn.
My grandmother died listening to this song in hospice. Amazing enough, her last breath was taken during the verse, "And with your final heartbeat..." Anytime I want to feel close to her, I play this song and I feel like she has her arm around me giving me her best advice. "And in time, this to shall pass." Love you Nana Banana. Remember, you're sharing your castle of gold with me.
Just heard this for the 1st time.....as my boyfriend's mom is lying in a hospice bed, while her kidneys are no longer working, just wanting to fly to Jesus, tired of the suffering of constant dialysis and strokes etc....God bless her. Although, this is day 8 and she seems to be doing better than expected....maybe there is a healing in process?? 😊💖💖❤😌
Such a beautiful song! My choir just sang this for our Christmas concert in tribute to two students that dies last week. Emotional and full of the hope we have in Christ! Hallelujah!
I heard this at a beautiful memorial yesterday. I’m listening and bawling right now. This is so beautiful. I will learn and perform your song. Where can I purchase the accomplishment track? Thank you for sharing your gift with us.
My grandpa passed about a year ago and this song was played at his funeral. He was diabetic and had many stents in his heart. He has a heart attack and got life flighted. A few weeks later he had another one when he was home alone. He died on his couch. This song was played during a slide show. My grandpa was very fun and was very funny, I hadn't cried yet because the funeral had just started. Then I saw a picture of him on the fourth of July, all of his grandkids (including me) were laughing at his joke. He was pretending to eat a live crab! As soon as I saw that picture I just couldn't contain myself. I burst out crying. everytime I hear this song now I cry. I loved him so much...
I also played this for my husband as he lay in the hospital unresponsive for 6 days. I watched as he took that last breath on Oct 10, 22 and flew to Jesus to live for eternity
God bless you 😇❤️
I’m listening this... many times especially the past week. My dad is on his death bed now. He’s so emotional now and his eyes are fixed on the ceiling.
I believe he’s seeing angels 🙌
Be healed in Jesus name!

This song is the only one that i can listen to over and over again and still end in tears. It's so beautiful.
And I absolutely long to fly to Jesus. Praise you Lord.
this is the most beautiful song ever.My mom died when i was seven, 5 years ago.And this song gets me through each day until i get to see her again in heaven
I cry every time I hear this song...it shows how come Jesus does for us, no matter how much we stray. Praise the Lord!
A friend of mine died recently, and everytime I listen to this song I think of him and cry every time... Dear lord, please take care of him, and I know u do what u do cause you love us.. The lord is my light in the darkest of times. Love u lord forever and always!
I think this has become my new favourite worship song. Especially the "Dance" verse. Makes me NEED to dance.
Wish I could’ve sang this to my uncle Kevin …
He was such a good man words cannot describe how loving that man was .
And David knew and loved Jesus.
this song gives me goosebumps and makes me cry every tiem i hear it, it just means so much to me
This is one of my very favorite Christian songs. I first remember hearing it in the dead of night many years ago while on a road trip with my family. Thank you for the video.
God be with you out there everybody. ✝️ :)
Such a beautiful song! I imagine hearing it while I’m falling asleep! ✝️

Thank you Jesus for loving me at my most unlovable.
I love this song! It was played at my grandmothers funeral! It is so true! God bless you all!
This is the first time I've heard this song, and I love it!
I get chills when he sings "...and fly to Jesus..." everytime..
All i have to do is hear the first couples chords and I start bawling. I absolutely adore this song
Hallelujah!
I Love this song so much !! I want it played when I celebrate going HOME !
I heard this at a beautiful memorial yesterday. I’m listening and bawling right now. This is so beautiful. I will learn and perform your song. Where can I purchase the accomplishment track?
Thank you for sharing your gift with us.
Love, Love Love this. It was sang at my Uncle's funeral yesterday. I can't quit listening to it...
Love the song. I am so humble listening to this great song.
I’m so sorry for your loss, he’s not suffering anymore he’s with Jesus in heaven with happiness and joy.
simply beautiful, thanks for the song and the lyrics.
sometimes when things get rough, we should always cry to jesus, for he is our shelter from the storms of life.
Falling in love with Jesus all over again with this song...
happy and sad song... Reminds me something I have forgotten long ago... And I like the music. Thanks for sharing
I also played this for my husband as he lay in the hospital unresponsive for 6 days. I watched as he took that last breath on Oct 10, 22 and flew to Jesus to live for eternity
