In DC generator AC is induced in the armature ..it is converted into DC in the external circuit by an arrangement called split ring commutator... In AC generator AC is induced in the armature though AC flows through it

The statement is correct..
Every complete rotation of armature induce current in the armature coil..
& it's sent into the rings..
( because of potential difference )
Rings are situated in two ends of the coil.
Current is sent into both direction... so it is ac current...
( split rings in DC help to change that AC current into DC)
