A few month ago I was playing around at my local YMCA and I hurt my shoulder and it felt like something was torn but it’s gotten better. I’ve watched videos from you and actual qbs and my form has gotten better and I can throw harder as well
For the longest, I didn't know what was wrong with my body and why I literally couldn't rotate my hips. Turns out I have Anterior Pelvic tilt, now I can throw any type of pass that comes to my imagination 👍
Hi coach. I’ve been watching a lot of your vids on weight transfer and having a good base and it’s helped a lot. But something I noticed which is kind of random but I just wanted to tell you anyway was that I’ve been watching the top rated qb of the 2025 class Bryce underwood, and he manages to throw very far and hard with what looks like a very large and extended base. His foot is always way behind him after he throws and I thought it might be something cool for you to check out. But thanks for all your advice it’s helped me a lot
Hey coach, this video was super great, really informative, but I have a question, generally when I have arm pain its more in the biceps than the shoulders, do you think that has the same root causes, or is that exactly what this video is about (I'm not sure if when you say shoulders that's the upper arm or specifically the shoulder) Thanks!
Let’s goooo! I threw 45 yards yesterday with an official high school ball I’ve got to say that ever since I’ve done track/javelin, throwing has improved for me Also keep up the good work bro ❤
Hey coach I’m 15 going into the sophomore year and I’m pretty big and decently strong but my throwing is horrible and I don’t have much experience with throwing just a lot of wrestling/tackling and decent speed. When I throw I have a big arch but then it drops at like 15-20 yards. Any tips on getting good form for new players to get past that plateau
Watch these videos and work on your motion everyday Also get your throws in and record yourself I promise you it’s going to take thousands of reps and won’t happen in two days It took me two years to get here even though I’ve never played QB I can still throw almost 50 yards and can throw a comeback route from the opposite hash
If you search up on RUclips “first down training perfect throwing motion” a few videos will come up where we breakdown throwing mechanics as a whole and explain in detail what your motion should do. It will really help
Great video Coach
Appreciate that sir! Thank you very much for the support

Yessir it’s probably the same root cause- and usually overuse I feel. I think pain in the arm can be mainly from overuse
@@firstdowntraining awesome, I kinda thought so, thank you!

thanks coach these really help
No problem man glad this could help you!
Do you think you could possible have a class in West Virginia?
Yessir, we had one in Cleveland and North Virginia so West Virginia is definitely in future plans
Idk why but recently when I throw a deep ball the spiral tilts up. Sometimes it does that but it’s really bad. I’ve tried everything.
If you search up “why the ball spins up first down training” we have some videos exactly on that topic
Upper part of my ribs hurt when I try to rotate
Those are your serratus anterior
On an actual throw or on drill work?
@@firstdowntraining after I throw I think my arm flare out cause everyone say I sidearm
