Do you think Premier Smith and her ministers care . Hardly they only care for their core group. She is not a Premier for all of the Alberta people. We need someone new.

What a despicable creature she is. This government is disgusting. When will Albertans stop voting against their interests. As a former conservative voter and now a staunch NDP supporter with a membership, it’s getting harder and harder for me to find a way to vent my frustration. When will we as a province, those of us that care about our neighbours, and our communities stand up in defiance to this government?
Better question… How can we stand up and get our voices heard? This government has instituted policies that are so far from what they campaigned on. Is there no right of recall or something like that? As always, thank you gentlemen for shining the light on the cruelty that is the UCP. I miss hearing you guys in the mornings.❤ DANG job😅

Albertans did vote for their interests. We just didn't vote for the interests of the corrupt public sector unionists that want all Albertans' money vacuumed up and handed to them exclusively.

What a disgusting excuse for a so called human. Albertans seem to always vote against their interests, for decades. Thank the gods I could leave Alberta, and now Canada, to live in safety, security without so much evil corruption.

The only good and sensible Conservative premier in Alberta was Peter Lougheed. There were absolutely no others. After Peter Lougheed was no longer the premier of Alberta, the Conservatives in Alberta did the most costliest debacles repeatedly, while not looking after infrastructure and core programs and services very well.

Where exactly is safe from this corruption? In my summation, all western countries are experiencing this right wing extremism, made worse by all the intentional dis-information campaign's being lead by international opposition aligning with Trumpism.

Free transit would be a much better solution. Forcing the poor to even pay 1/3 or 1/2 makes many people unable to travel at all, and also saddles people with major (unpayable by poor people) fines that waste court and police time.

There is a much better solution. View Transit as infrastructure critical to society's operation and fund it from taxes and make it free to the users. How many poor and working poor have huge fines outstanding for going on buses & LRT without a ticket for not having a couple toonies? Transit should be free, it should in some form go near (within 200m) every civic address, and should also link all towns and cities within the province. If we linked all homes and all jobs with convenient travel, then we could get a lot more work done and need a lot less overfed govt workers doling out meagre, insufficient handouts.

Another clueless troll. The UCP have only carried on with the fiscal ineptitude and poor planning that the Alberta PCs did, ever since Don Getty was premier of Alberta. So far, the UCP have made well over $80 billion in very costly debacles and mistakes, and the UCP have also given Alberta a mammoth debt that is now nearly $140 billion. The UCP have then treated the vulnerable, seniors, medical professionals, teachers, students, rural property owners, the environment and democracy in Alberta with disdain. This isn't a good thing.

Social Services Minister Jason Nixon said the mayors of Edmonton and Calgary have made it clear the money is critical.
“The province does not want to see the low-income transit program in our two largest cities go anywhere,” Nixon told reporters Wednesday.
“We will make sure that we’re there to support [the passes] if that’s what’s needed.”
The total provincial subsidy for low-income transit programs for all municipalities is $16-million.
