  • I recently slowed down some Code 3 D-Tech rotators to see if they would have better color definition.
    • Code 3 D-Tech Rotators...
I am currently working on a project to synchronize two D-Techs so they flash in an organized manner. Before taking on that project I am experimenting with rotation speed. To test this simply placed a D-Tech on a rotating base with a variable speed motor. This video shows speeds ranging from "barley spinning" to "factory".

I definitely prefer the slower end. I always wanted to see a DTech in a FireBeam with the UF7 mirror - that would be an incredible dash light.

Reminds me of AT&T Long Lines Towers....Where it was going was good, but became rapidly obsolete

22" geared Aero with a resistor or a pot would make a ton of sense... as far as what speed, basically take the usual factory single color RPMs and halve them? interested to see where you go with this...

Wonder if having protruding side ‘blinkers’ may help to not see both colours on the edge plane?

I think the blacked out ends that hold this version together help define the flashes. My GEN1 versions without the black parts have disintegrated unfortunately.
