When I was a teenager and was sick of horny boys hitting on me I thought that once I got to my 20's men would be more charming, respectful and romantic (the way Luther is describing in this song) and now that I'm 27 I'm realizing that maybe I was wrong. Men my age don't see interested in "old fashioned" rules of courtship and romance. Everything now is about what's the most they can get for the least amount of effort, and you can even hear it in a lot of the mainstream music now. But songs like this give me hope that there are still "good guys" out there who genuinely know who to approach and pursue real women with standards and self- respect.
