Thanks for the vid. I’ll be taking level 1 this December and I’m feeling super confident about it. I would recommend others to try and understand the formals rather than just blindly memorizing them.
I believe memorizing the formulas for level 1 is important, but for level 2 I believe it becomes deep that you need to understand the concept about each part of it
Every time I see a practice question that requires a formula, I write the formula. So my strategy, instead of straight memorizing, is to do so many practice questions that I can’t forget the formulas.
Biggest secret: Always do a final review - (3-5 days) to memorise the formulas, esp the level 1exam. Write each formula down 10-12x down during this review
a lot of throat clearing in this one. Content starts at 3:16.
thanks
Thank you for this video AJ. This last week of prep was a huge reason why I passed L1 in May '21. Also props to Mark Meldrum.
You are the best person guiding CFA Candidates on how to prepare! Thank you.
I appreciate it!
Are you preparing?
Thanks for the vid. I’ll be taking level 1 this December and I’m feeling super confident about it. I would recommend others to try and understand the formals rather than just blindly memorizing them.
All the best
Thanks !! Preparing level 1 and really motivated to succeed !
Thank you Aj! I don’t plan on taking the CFA exam but if that ever changes I’ll use everything you have taught me ❤️
you gotta keep making these videos until the december exam where you just talk about your study methods and experience I think they're very insightful
I believe memorizing the formulas for level 1 is important, but for level 2 I believe it becomes deep that you need to understand the concept about each part of it
Very true! For L2 and L# you need to know more than just formulas.
Every time I see a practice question that requires a formula, I write the formula. So my strategy, instead of straight memorizing, is to do so many practice questions that I can’t forget the formulas.
Thats a good idea too.

Please make a video for L2 alone if possible
Sure, I can do that. Thanks for the request.
@@straighttalks-ajsrmek323 thanks a lot☺️
Question : why do I need to memorise formulas when I am allowed to use the Calculator??
You need to know what variables to type into your calculator!
Should we also memorize the TVM calculations as our calculator does that with the TMV function.
I would just make sure you know how to use the calculator functions.
@StraightTalks can you please share your formula sheets
Hmmm. This might be a good idea, yes.
Could you please share it if you haven’t already done so?

Hello Hope you are well and thanks for the video ! Did you use your formula sheet when you did the mock exam?
Hey, great question! Yes I did. I only learned the formulas in those last few days.
Thanks...but this vid didn't need to be this long
How can someone get job after CFA charterholder
Network with the firms you want to work with!
Won’t need the formulas for long term? I’m young thinking of a CFA career👀👀
Its not realistic to think you will remember all of the formulas needed to pass the CFA exams for your whole career.
omg i have no idea how you memorize 20 pages of formulas...do you sing a song
No haha just repetition.
Quick question - do you revise content that you've covered as you move along the curriculum?
I would like to say yes - but in reality i didn't do too much revision. After I finished a section I would move on.
Hi, can you pls help where could I get CFA level1 mock exams?
Search around on Google.
do people study the whole 3000 plus pages for each level? or is there a faster time and effort efficient way
Some people do, but most use summarized material from the test prep providers.
Which prep do you recommend?
I used Wiley and it worked for me.

Your welcome
I see what you did there with the title 👀
Jk, informative as usual
There is no secret to passing any exam. Please filibuster for ten minutes about something instructive else next time.
Did you watch the video? I think this is the secret to passing.
@@straighttalks-ajsrmek323 bro you’re valid this is helping me lots of love bro
