Here in the U.K at the time this came out, we recognized the dopeness! I spent years tracking this down as I had it on a very old pirate radio recording.
When I first heard this in 88',,,my whole body went through a ultramagnetic experience. Goose bumps, can't describe it,one of tha dopest underground joints ever....beat,soft horn's,and lyrics, #Unbelievable!...and Chuck was week on tha wheels on KISS,good production tho. It's still in my top 10 all-time.

This Funk Master Flex's Roots! Mad Rugged! Even though I don't appreciate talking all over da music, while it's being played or rotating on a turntable!!🎤😬😊🎯💯
I am 18 years old and I am lucky to be friends with Chuck Chillout. I tried to find this song for a long time! Pops had this on his tapes I can't wait to tell Chuck I found this record! This would be a hot blend with I know you got soul Eric B and Rakim or Bedtime story Slick Rick! I can hear it now!
Wrong. Deuces wild was the name of the group. Derricks rap name was ricochet. His partner on the microphone was centipede and Funkmaster flex was on the turntables!
In case if anybody don't know, DJ Mark The 45 King did the beat on that Deuces Wild record. According to what Funk Flex had said on his radio show, Mark got handled on the credit. Which he didn't get for this track.
Back then, I always thought that this song was aiming at Public Enemy Because of that phrase " You brought the Posse but they are a bunch of softees "....

Deuces Wild was the first stage name used by Derrick Keyes. His second is Nine. Unfortunately, Wikipedia doesn't have this information posted.
