Another amazing video from Tractorspotter showing the world some of the amazing machines used in agriculture in the Netherlands. This is at least the second time a slurry injection machine has been shown by Tractorspotter but this trike spreader and its support vehicles are a new feature.
What a beautiful farm and surroundings. Love the farm. Hard work and dedication and looking after Mother Earth. Aslam Mahomed Johannesburg South Africa.
Its an unusual and complex method of slurry application. I can see the logic regarding reduction of soil compaction and the need for continuous application but still, if conditions allow, a traditional slurry tanker with a disc applicator fed by the road lorry would cut out the need for the lenghty pipework. Interesting video
I think the main reason is that the slurry injector doesn't need to stop every time, and the trucks doesn't have to wait for the slurry tanker to return, and in the netherlands there are a lot of long stretched fields, so you don't have to drive back to the lorry from a very far distance.
There are also cases of this pipe system being used by pumping directly from the slurry storage cutting out the moving of slurry time and making it even quicker to operate
the tanker would need to keep going back to the same spot to refill of the lorries causing major soil compaction in that spot plus the constant running across the the field to where your working is to inefficient
This system is used quite a bit in the US. Except there is a tractor with a 3 pt mounted toolbar usually, or a deep disc(disc harrow, or harrow as you folks across the pond call it) with injectors mounted between the 2 sections. Most of the time the slurry is pumped to the field directly from the lagoon at the farm. Hoses could go for a couple miles. Really cuts out the need for a bunch of different people and machines. You can get away with one large tractor, one medium tractor to pump, and one small tractor to tend the hose. And 3 people. You can go until the field is done or the lagoon is empty.
The supply Fendt with the quad on top, crazy!! As impressive as the vid where the NH tractor was pulling a spreader with a backhoe behind it that was sick.
Verry impressive setup! Looks a bit like thw injector has not enough pressure on that hard soil... Better on the green and just hoses for this or some injector that turns the ground upside down....
Next outstanding Video by TS. It's a brilliant one. :-) But the method bringing out slurry seems to be verry expensive. And you need a lot of manpower.
Fascinating video! I've usually seen pumped slurry like that coming directly from the slurry pool and not from tankers, but this makes sense for farther from the barn. Was that a WW II German bunker near the base of the wind machine tower?
Thanks Laurens! Yes, this is the first umbilical systeem Ploeger has made, and in fact this is the first trike chassis ploeger has ever produced, chassis No1. You can see the same chassis with Tebbe spreader in one of my previous video's.
Wondering how this holds up against regulations for injection. As there are environmental regulations that do not disallow this method, but since this method is not really injecting it, it has more methane out gassing and is therefor taxed higher then really injecting it under ground.
It indeed does look bigger Mark, but in fact the back half of the tank is only used as mounting base for the swivel boom, it is hollow and reinforced, as you can imagine the enormous forces that come from pulling 2000 meter of hose full slurry. You can see it on the drone shots on 04:02
@@sietxD Indeed, but if the farmer soils it with mud or whatever he has to clean it up after he is finished and warn other drivers of the mud on the road because of safety regulations.
Tractor spotter could you guys leave some information for a contact for here in the United States it looks like you're from Europe is that correct thank you
In the us they also spreading manure like this. I’ve seen some on RUclips. You don’t have a lot of soil compaction. And it’s much faster. In the 90s I was a tractor mechanic and I build a lot of pumps for this application.
That's one question. Another one is: How many times do the hoses resist, getting pulled over the ground with this enormous force. Can't imagine, that they work a long time.
In giro per l'Europa avete cantieri da far paura... Qua in Italia manca poco che ancora si giri col 180/90 e botte da 140 quintali netti... A parte alcune realtà fortemente strutturate... Tutto il resto è fermo a 30 fa
The machine would be more effective and efficient if it just had a tank. I've seen them with tanks that stored the liquid so they didn't have to be tethered
Sommige mensen vragen zich af hoe je vrolijk kan worden van een video, hoe een voertuig het land bemest. Kijk dan nog maar eens! Hollands glorie... (Martijn, per toeval de e-mail gevonden van mijn neefje)?
No question that it's undoubtedly a highly effective way of doing it but ungodly inefficient and no way in hell is it remotely practical! That many different trucks with that many different guys with that specialized of equipment it's going to be ridiculously more expensive per acre and or Hector then you would need it to be to be actually legitimately feasible for any normal operation.
It does highly reduce soil compaction tho. In the netherlands most fields are very wet seeying as they where reclaimed from the sea so in a lot of places simply using a normal slurry tank wouldnt work.
@Mr Sunshines then again economical factors are not normally an issue over there since you run off of taxpayer-funded everything! Sort of like those wind power is running in the background.
@Mr Sunshines they're called government subsidies and without them it wouldn't work it's pretty damn simple! For instance if a wind power had to be put up and manufactured and paid at the rate like they were made of coal they would be horribly horribly inefficient and no one would use them because energy cost would be three times higher.
dean nelson don’t forget that these soils are highly productive.. In the USA a 50 bushel on the plains is a good crop. Over here we produce double and then keep in mind that grain is not hour moneymaker. These area’s are full with rootcrops that will give us some space to invest more money in doeing everything the right way.

Nice sound of Scania v8 👌
Mooi gevlogen en prachtig in elkaar gezet de video. Ik vind het altijd mooi om het sleepslangen te zien. Fijn weekend
Fantastic video as always TS!
Brilliant its just beautiful
The great mother with water very nice Sri thank.
Nice job dudes!Well done!
That’s some huge kit.
The best youtuber !!
Really nice video!
That Scania sounds amazing!
That is really really cool!
Of course. It's from the Netherlands 😉
Magnifique vidéo 👍👍👍👍👍
Thierry Du 33 ça tu l'as dit
Jeremy Ravet 👍
The idea is simple but the engineering for even that hose is a lot of work.
Excellent work, good explaining! I like that style, very informative!
Great footage and nice machines , I like the cab views!! Greets Stefan
Prachtige video!

Super leuke video! Leuk/goed dat je uit legt hoe alles werkt 👍
Ga zo door!!!!!!!
hello from France. Nice vidéo. thanks to share !!
Its a good video and that machine I had never seen before. T hanks for the work
I love your video❤️❤️
Great video lovely drone shots. Thanks for sharing 👍 😍

Yet another great video 👍
It is not only humans and animals that need food but also soil.
Next outstanding Video by TS. It's a brilliant one. :-) But the method bringing out slurry seems to be verry expensive. And you need a lot of manpower.
You do but you can cover a crazy amount of hectares. These are contractors and the price is very attractive for the farmers.
Great video mate.
Looks like a lot of hose wear. Can't imagine them lasting long.
@Mr Sunshines no need to be rude but yes the hoses last a long time.
nice video
Great Video !!

So just where does the slurry come from? Farms with cattle sheds for winter? Farms with milking sheds?
Top video. John
What size diameter hoses are you using? And what is flow rate?
Very very good
What's the lifespan of the hose you're dragging around
+- 3 years
Wondering how this holds up against regulations for injection. As there are environmental regulations that do not disallow this method, but since this method is not really injecting it, it has more methane out gassing and is therefor taxed higher then really injecting it under ground.
Om bouwland te bemesten moet je toch een bouwland bemester gebruiken?? Of is dit in het buitenland?
Has a hose ever bust open?
todd baker yess it does
Very expensive way to feed slury. We use powerful sprinkler
That's not allowed in the Netherlands.
how can the hose last when you drag it like you do?
Why? Wat do you mean?
The buffer tank looks bigger than 4 m3 to me?
Mark Fryer no 4m3
It indeed does look bigger Mark, but in fact the back half of the tank is only used as mounting base for the swivel boom, it is hollow and reinforced, as you can imagine the enormous forces that come from pulling 2000 meter of hose full slurry. You can see it on the drone shots on 04:02
@@Tractorspotter Oh I was thinking about the trailer surge tank not the tank on the back of the trike.
Cousin Eddie would like this
Εντυπωσιακός τρόπος δουλειάς!
What is the slurry made from?
Mostly from pig or cow manure, in this video it was pig slurry.
Who keeps the roads in such good condition? Is it the farmers or are they public?
the government does
@@sietxD Dankie
@@sietxD Indeed, but if the farmer soils it with mud or whatever he has to clean it up after he is finished and warn other drivers of the mud on the road because of safety regulations.
What's the use of slurry
Fertiliser
Waar is dat

it's not slurry injection. this is trailing it out on top. injection means in the ground
Yeah, thought so to it is not really injected. Wonder if this counts for the regulations.
Yes it is
I am baffled how the farmers can afford such expensive equipment. Does the Dutch govt. subsidize the equipment?
Farmers lover's hit like
Which country is this?
The Netherlands!
Hello
Salaam Aleykum.
Cool
Nice
Just a small fortune to purchase...and eventually another small fortune in hoses when the time comes.
Smh. No need for the farmer to purchase. Just rent/hire.
Tractor spotter could you guys leave some information for a contact for here in the United States it looks like you're from Europe is that correct thank you

looks expensive, we're sunk if they force us to do this in the U.S.

А что за жидкость?
I love the poop truck
It's just a truck with a tanker behind it.
Yummmmmmmeeeeeeeeeeeeeh
That must smell heavenly! 😜
You can imagine how i smell when i can home :P The smell of farming!
I’m just scratching my head trying to work out why his pipes not twisted up in a mess the way his pulling it
That's one question. Another one is: How many times do the hoses resist, getting pulled over the ground with this enormous force. Can't imagine, that they work a long time.
@@kunoknollenbuddler2167 they are basically fire hoses. Really surprisingly durable
Kilogramm Dezitonne 3 years that we buy new ones
That was also my first thought.
It must require a little planning of how to cover the field without twisting the pipe.
👍
Das good shit

You do not want heavy machines in the field, that is why they use this method.
