      Рисунок сбит полностью , пропорции не точны , лицо перекошено ... . Автору надо ежедневно делать наброски с натуры , тренировать точность глаза .. Стараться делать очень похожими на натуру .

    I always say that in art, less is more. When I see those 10 or 12 step portrait painting demos in books I always think the portrait looks much better at step 5 or 6 than it does at step 12.

      I agree with you! It doesn’t need to be complicated. If you have basic drawing skills and understanding values it gets much easier work with colors. By practicing you eventually get there. I’m still practicing 😊

    Hi Milo, Please, I have a small question. It is known that turpentine is volatile, and the question is: If I mix turpentine with oil painting will it also be volatile in this case?

    • @Milozandiart
      @Milozandiart  29 дней назад

      Yes. That’s correct! I use turpentine in the beginning ( first layer ) it helps to cover the big shapes very fast and underpainting gets thin and washy which is nice and dry very fast. You need less and less turpentine on other layers instead if you want it Volatile use linseed oil ( dries slow )

  • @TharadolKT

    Ok so quick question. Acrylic over a previous oil layer?

    • @Milozandiart
      @Milozandiart  27 дней назад

      Yes. Just a Gesso ( acrylic White Gesso) to primer the panel :)

    • @majorhughes2791
      @majorhughes2791 20 дней назад +1

      @@Milozandiart Ok so just for future work. Never do that. It is 100% going to fall off. Acrylic cannot properly adhere to oil. Vice versa absolutely. I get if this is just practice and you don't care so much, but rest assured it will flake off if that is oil underneath.

    • @Milozandiart
      @Milozandiart  19 дней назад

      @@majorhughes2791 I’m not sure. Almost every artist I know use gesso to primer panels. I’ve done before and it works fine :)

      @@Milozandiart Yeah acrylic gesso is fine as a primer. I'm asking if you've put gesso on top of a previous oil painting. That you can't do. When you primed that panel in the video it looked like you had a previous painting on there.
