Jay Bilas is so good as a basketball analyst . I think he would be a great college basketball coach.

Hurley is the coach the Lakers need. Experienced and the best available out there. Lakers need to build a culture moving past Lebron. They can't afford to get a JJ and keep changing coaches every two/three years. The franchise has to have consistency over the years and start thinking life post Lebron. I hope it becomes reality. That would be a solid move.

Agree totally...JJ can be a great coach if he wants to one day. He needs to get in as an assistant with a well established coach and go from there. He is an excellent analyst and will have many options over the next 10 years. Hurley is the guy; Pelinka has one last card to play in his current position. This card would be well played.

Recommend the Lakers consider J. Bilas a Coach K assistant at Duke University. Also, former NBA player, T. Legler.
    Brilliant 🏀 minds!!

Rich I know your in LA but you could have asked about what will be repercussions to UConn losing Dan this late into the year. Who would they get to replace him? Will they be able to keep their players?

Only coach I think could keep their players is to hire Bobby Hurley away from Arizona State

UCONN should hire Bobby Hurley to avoid a mass exodus

Doncic is great but some of the old dudes doesn't even think that LeBron is a top 5 player all time. Hard to achieve

As a Lakers fan, I don't think LeBron is a Top 5 Laker let alone Top 5 All Time. Please don't get me started on the GOAT debate either!

If Hurleys’ really smart the deal should be more than just straight salary. Demand a percentage of ownership plus a slice of tv, merch and ticket sales revenue from the Lakers. Make it worth him paying those California taxes, the high cost of living there and dealing with L-A congestion and the many daily big city problems!

He's not leaving Uconn. His wife won't go to LA. Her family is in Jersey. If it were the Knicks or Nets, I'd would say he would go.

    Let’s keep it simple
1- if he brings in a few max guys he will be great . If he doesn’t bring in a few max guys , he’s fired in 3 years .

I hope for hurley’s sake he doesn’t take it. Lakers job has flakey trouble written all over it. Jeanie Buss is a flake, Pelinka is a flake, LBJ calls all the shots in his final 1-2 years. They better pay him huge bux

I don't get it. College coaches haven't done well in the NBA, and I don't care how fancy Hurley's offense is. The second problem is the Lakers roster. They're old. LeBron is 40 and Anthony Davis is constantly hurt. How long are these guys going to play? What do the Lakers do to replace them? It's not easy to do that in the NBA. The ownership has had 7 coaches since Jackson? That's great. All that's good is Hurley would get a big pay day. Good luck.
