Just go back from there too, We fished the day of the solar eclipse and it was tough, but the next day was much better.Got a limit of fish plus a thirteen pound and lots of shorts. The Boat got only two double but four over 9
Nice trip, I hear great things about Chasing Tides in OCM. I was just in OCM for two days on Tuesday and Wednesday and caught my PB DD’s . Did you notice a lot more females than males? We saw a lot more females come up. Also , we were fishing well over a 100 ft of water and the jig fishing at that depth is completely different than shallow water jigging like I am use to. The feel is almost like the fish is just laying on it like you mentioned, it’s not like watching your line move and the fish swimming away with your jig, then set.
That's awesome and yes agree with you on the jig. I'll be back there next Thursday. Hoping to finally break my 8 year old at this point PB of just over 10
@@jiggingjerks Good luck! I was invited to go next week on Kane’s boat but my wife will kill me if I leave for 3 days again. This trip I had my PB 17lb on a slider rig and sinker and much like yourself, let’s just say using a traditional rig wasn’t my strong suit, I jig 99.9 % of the time here in Long Island in predominantly 15ft-35ft of water. Anyway , good luck again,go catch a dinosaur !
That's my back yard, OC and Indian River are my jam bro. I have caught more fluke off of 50 bridge " the bridge as you leaving the inlet" than every where else I have lived.
Looked like a nice trip John! Personally, I am not a fan of keeping big Blacks because they are almost always the breeder females. It takes those large Blacks a very very long time to get that big. Just my take on it!
I’ve had the pleasure of fishing with Dennis last fall a few times great guy and fisherman. He was there when I got my first DD. As for as dog fish I’ve learned a lot of things that could possibly bring them in. Sometimes a jig because it takes longer to get to the bottom. Setting the hook and missing and not reeling up to change bait. Sending down washed out crabs again not changing your bait. Definitely too much movement with jig or rig not keeping it still. One thing for sure once they move in there’s no getting rid of them it seems. Great vid 👍
When you see someone catching one after another you know they have the honey hole. Squeeze on over and do some polite mugging! Philly Girl Fishing and others have told me this!
I used to watch Nor’East Fishing and the one guy said 1 foot on the rail could mean fish or no fish. He showed how he would lean over to the guy next to him and was catching and ask what typos gear he was using only to get closer.
That 16 was a wreck, a blood pile on the deck, and more streaking down its side. I understand the un-intention and at the end of the day this fish was not the angler's fault, but saying that all were released makes its death go unheard. You can see one of the guys pointing at it, a great first trip in Delaware, just though you could've explained this a little better.
Dude I fish a wreck that is only a boiler and one side happens all the time especially on that wreck. If you're 3ft from the boiler it'll be a long day. I always anchor so sometimes it's literally just moving around the boat till you find the sweet spot 😂. I've been next to someone and because they were 2ft away they weren't getting anything. There are some awesome wrecks off the south central NJ for tog.
We had exactly the same problem when we fished. The action on the stoppard side was 2 to 1 But I did manage to sneak out a thirteen pounder

Great video. Thanks for sharing! And congrats on that jumbo PB Ant!
Went out with chase last week and got my pb 16# on the jig. Absolutely epic place for dinosaur hunting.
Awesome and congrats! Back with him tomorrow
@jiggingjerks have a blast man! Catch a giant on the jig!

I guess it li k e saying, do you prefer you a young chicken or old hen. I think the older any animal gets, the less tasteful it becomes.

amazing guy share his catch. i deinitely glad to exchange all his catchrs with a pack of corona beers and avocado dips
Glad your getting your fishing in and always enjoyable to watch.
Are you going to do a video on new fluke regulations ?
Likely not James but still debating it.
Im the same way I love fishing. But ill take a steak anyday over fish.

I really doubt 1 foot would make any difference

Was bleeding from the lip. I know it looked bad but I saw that fish released and swim down with a lot of force

The real question is why does he run the outboards all day and load them up with carbon….but still.
Was wondering that too but I learned a long time ago not question things like that
He was running the outboards for his starlink. He needed cell service this day expecting some important calls.
@@LongIslandLethals damn - you’re right - he told us that and I completely forgot
@@jiggingjerks he's also getting new engines soon so could care less
Poor guy that gets those on a trade-in. They’re always on in every video anyone has ever posted on that boat. Maybe he’s ringing the dinner bell.
What a great video ! Enjoyed it ! Thanks for the trip 🙂
A dream of mine to go togging in ocean city
