Problems with MS4 ? There seems to be a saturation of the "f"'s , not to mention the double "f"'s.... The pianos are too "p", ane the fortes too strong.... or was that what you wanted ? I have to keep ajusting the volume.... something that wouldn't be necessary in a real concert situation.Perhaps MS 3 is better with dynamics than MS4. Anyway, good job even if the volume problems ruin the listening, but then, perhaps as a composer i'l much too sensitive to dynamics.
Some dramatic contrast was certainly intended, but I think it's largely a MS4 problem. I could turn everything down, but 'pianos' and 'pianissimos' are too quiet and turn everything into mush - I'm already often marking 'mp' where 'p' or 'pp' would be more reasonable in a a performance context. I want my scores to be performable, so I don't want to adjust all my dynamics to cope with MS4's limitations. I try to write out of a sense of what would be reasonable in a performance context. Hopefully a future version of MuseScore will read dynamics more intelligently.
I really like this!
