China's Xi brings home-made Hongqi N701 Limo landing in San Francisco

- Chinese President Xi Jinping began his visit to the US on Tuesday and landed in San Francisco with his Chinese-made, 18-feet long Hongqi sedan.
Xi’s ride does not only caught the media’s attention, but also President Bidens’
His custom-designed Hongqi, codenamed N701.
Hongqi translates to Red Flag in English and it is a subsidiary of automaker FAW Car Co which is the oldest car manufacturer in China.
Xi's N701, which has been modified from the Hongqi L5, stretches 18 feet, weighs at least 3.1 tons and is powered by a six-liter V12 turbocharged engine which produces 408 horsepower.
It can reach speeds of at least 136 miles per hour.
The official state car was previously used by the president during trips to Hong Kong and Russia.

China has been manufacturing B737 and A320 on behalf of Airbus and Boeing for at least two decades so they know these planes inside and out. I think all of us are being flying with China-made Airbus and Boeing for a long time. So it is not a surprise China is making an identical “copy”.
But a plane equivalent of Boeing 777 or A350 is a different beast. It would be interesting to see.
