I'm so glad you got started on your Cherry collecting and met Nick. I was a little worried that you'd miss the whole thing. So, Cherry trees take 12 days from planting to first fruit. Then more fruit ever 6 days thereafter. You should have plenty of time, but if not, you could always sleep and advance to the next day a few times.

Fertilizer is for crops only and is put on after hoeing but before planting.

also heres a hint you can build more than one animal send point i have them 1 at every tower so at all four corners of the map and then by my built transport
