Yes sir👊🏾 nice way to transition to AL world!!! I was finally able to get a 2023 MacBook Pro and finally went legit with LPX after all this time!!! I just downloaded AL lite to my new laptop!!!! I’ll eventually upgrade to Suite in due time but now you’re on AL I’ll learn from you as well!!! Arrangement view was the easiest for me to understand because that’s what I’m use to looking at but that little bit arrangement view you explain gave a different understanding!!!!

Listen bruh! I’ve always been Logic for years. I’ve always been intimidated by Ableton because of the clips but watching what you just did in a few minutes might make me go back to my lite version and try some things before I think about upgrading. BRO!! I am soooo elated that you ut this video up. I have gone thru basically the same path--KING LOGIC TO Studio 1-to ABLETON for live purposes and then production. Seeing your evolution in thE various paths of production, I can totally relate and concur with your decision and I am leaning that you probably will adhere to Ableton. Whichever you decidework is a reflection of your hardwork at your gifts and talents. We appreciate all of the inspiration whichever genre. You have been a huge mental focus and refocus assist in a world of 9to5 producer friends that haven’t dove all the way in. As a spouse and father you are showing what dedication & determination can do. I will stay dedicated & open to the latest platforms of production and marketability. Distrokid!!! Snoop Dog just spoke out recently on the artists not being to survive on the unjust compensation after a billion streams etc. You are doing it and i hope you speak on how compensation has been for you thru these later years-Spotify, Distrokid and how any other platforms have been fair toward you. Hmmm long time Ableton and Push user here that is using Logic Pro and Logic Pro for iPad more now. Honestly it’s all the same shit. After you get comfortable with both, there is really little difference. I will say that Ableton has broader support for midi controllers though. Came here for your Logic stuff.

Bro. Your music is the soundtrack of my IG reels. I told you before it not only inspires me to make music I want to listen to your music when I'm driving. You're a producer's producer. I do understand you wanting to take more of an artist's path top. As sonic painters we need to paint.
Beat albums. Brother you did that .Wow. True story. In 2015 I was so over producing artists and their weird ways I was going to do an instrumental album. I thought to myself who in the hell wants to listen to an album of my beats?? It seemed so farfetched at the time Look at what you just did.
Finally, , You being connected to Distrokid makes me want to sign up with them. I was with an older model called CD Baby. They did switch over to digital distribution but You Tube content ID kept clashing with music that I was posting on You Tube. Basically getting I was flagged for my own music 😂. I cancelled all of my music and now I can start over fresh. So when I sign up I'll gladly sign through your Distrokid link if you have one. Thanks for making quality art my friend.

Abelton Live is the best DAW. I use it every week to play keys with my band (with like 100 synths running and dummy clips to activate them in session view), and also to do all my producing in my studio

I am I the same position as you were. I am currently using Studio One but really want to do more live stuff and have been considering Ableton too as I believe what I write would really benefit from being played live.... I am also considering a MacBook Pro too so it is going to be a huge upheaval but I want to make sure that I am making the right decision switching DAW.... Would you recommend the switch? How big was the learning curve?

@@Yhuntermusic I sold my push a few years back. Your 88 Novation works well with Ableton. The new MPC’s are great because you can export your sequences as ALS files into Ableton. Same thing with the Akai Force.

Ableton originated from Session i.e looping view, so would perhaps work better for many. But I don’t believe there’s anything in this video that can't be done in Logic's Live Loops, with a Novation Launchpad. It’s certainly a much more economical option, even wit Live 'Standard' and a 2nd-hand Push.
Again, not knocking Ableton (It’s a great DAW) Just saying not everyone needs to make the same jump.
Another thing to keep an eye on is the desktop version of the current iPad-only app - Loopy Pro. Like the original Ableton this has been built from the ground up to serve the live performance and Looping crowds. It’s a very powerful app, which still manages to be extremely streamlined. Could be a game-changer for desktop performers ;)
@@el-bov8034 no doubt, that said… Ableton with the Push is a different beast. I’m still mainly a Reason guy but I flirt HARD with Ableton!!

Despite being a Logic-user for nearly 18 years, i've definitely had my flirtations with other DAW. And the combination of Ableton and Push were right up there in terms of temptation. i'm sure if I'd had that kinda disposable income during those times, I'd have sprung for the combo to be used as an adjunct to Logic. If anything, my interest was heightened with the release of the Push 3 standalone model. Still not got that kind of money to shell out, but it definitely ticks so many of my boxes. Maybe someday :)
For the moment it's still Logic on desktop and Beatmaker 3 on iPad...soon to be joined by Loopy Pro, which I hope will be a lot more focused and closer to a hardware experience.
