She identifies caffeine as an insecticide and then drinks a whole bunch of it and tells us ‘oh don’t worry, for humans it is a stimulant.’ And goes on to identify nicotine as both an insecticide and an addictive compound. Sorry, you forgot to mention the addictive side of caffeine as well. So how much insecticide is a caffeine-addicted human ingesting over the course of a lifetime? Seems to be quite a bit, hence the gray hair and probably many other kinds of damage.

Potato blight is caused by an organism in the Oomycota. While originally considered a fungus, recently phylogenetic analysis based on genetic data places the group in the phylum Heterokonta with brown algae and diatoms. Therefore, it is lumped together into the catch all group of Protists which includes all eukaryotes that are not animals, plants, or fungus.

You may be confused because there are two diseases called potato blight. One, late potato blight, is caused my an oomycota and was responsible for the potato famines of the 1840's. The other, early potato blight, is indeed caused by a fungus. I was referring to the first, more famous, disease.
