All those peaches! Many of the peach trees where I live were damaged by weather. It was nice seeing you all go out to eat together. I miss the days when my mom, dad, sister and I often did that. Just writing this I feel like my parents should still be here and I'd call them up. Really cherish your parents. ❤
My peach tree was half dead, literally half of it was really dead and I did my best to try to save it. I watered it alot, built s box around the base and filled it with mulch to hold in the moisture. Then I was able to get 1 whole peach off it and it was SO sweet! Then last weekend I hired a local guy to weedeat my yard and told him the story about the peach tree. I told him to be very careful around it and showed him how there were two more preaches on it that weren't quite ripe yet, but I would give a few more days then I'd harvest them and was looking forward to it. He said "don't worry Miss Cindy, I'll take care of your peach tree" and low and behold, after he did his work in my yard I noticed he stole my last two peaches!!! I can't believe some people snd how they think they have a right to steal things like that. I guess that shows me that if he can't be trusted with peaches, he can't be trusted with not taking something else he sees that he likes....I only had 3 peaches from that dying tree the entire year and he stole 2 of them! Enjoy your peaches girls, I wish I could join ya!

This is definitely a throw back to my childhood. Peaches were Daddy's favorite fruit. Peach cobbler, peach ice cream, spiced canned peachs, peach fried pies. I picked the last peaches off Daddy's trees when we sold his house after he went to be with the Lord. I treasured them till they were gone. Good memories. Good eating. I went to a produce stand here in Hendersonville yesterday. The fella there told me the Georgia peaches were 90% wiped out due to a late frost. He said they were getting their peaches way on down I-26 past Columbia, SC. I managed to get 6 yellow freestones. They were huge. After just one day, they'd ripened up where I could eat em. Delicious! 😊
The only time I ever saw my Dad gorge himself was with peaches fresh off the tree. They were so ripe the juice just ran down his face and arms. I got such joy watching him enjoy those beautiful fruit. What a great family day you had. ❤️🇨🇦

Peaches! I think thats my new name, for you, Katie. When i was six years old, i drove a small tractor which pulled a flatbed trailer through the peach orchard, while my brothers and dad loaded it with lugs of fresh picked peaches. We used to pick peaches at our friend's orchard in front of their house. It was so fun! The memories... Racing to see who could fill their basket first... Eating as many as we picked.. Juice running down our chins and soaking the front of our shirts... Good memories❤️This was a beautiful day! I love watching y'all "living happy life"... Btw.... Sarah Plain and Tall is one of my favorite movies. It has Glenn Close as Sarah. I love to see how she loves the kids enough to wait for them to return her love... After they had lost their mama. And ypu see that same patience as she kindles love with her husband. I always cry when I watch it. And I have The Purpose Driven Life book too. I made a peach cobbler the other day that was really good, but my peaches were from the store, so I can imagine how good your fresh peaches are.😄 Girls we have a humming bird feeder that I love. When they get low on water they come and flutter right in front of you, or if we're inside they come to the window. It's so sweet.....I like Charles Stanley too Katie, was sad when he passed, but he left a wonderful legacy! Enjoyed family day sweet girls!❤

Now that is a “loaded down peach tree”… that’s what my grandma used to say about her early apple tree! I never knew the name of the apples, always early apples to us.
Our old peach tree quit producing well & we put in two new varieties in our orchard. We have had to buy peaches to put up for the last 5 years. This year we got 1/2 bushel because Georgia peaches got licked by the late frosts this Spring. When w purchased new peach trees, we made efforts to buy late varieties in hopes that they would bloom later. Many years we had no peaches due to late killing frost. Blessings 🌼

Matt looks as though he has lost some weight, working hard and sweating will do it every time Matt. Making more memories for sure. Now time to get home and more fun begins. My neighbor had some peach trees that were ready two weeks ago and he told me we could get all we wanted, we did and took them to my daughters and they made the best peach jam I have ever eaten, of course we took some to my neighbor for letting us have the peaches. The tree was all drooping like this one heavy from the weight of the peaches, when the peaches were all off the trees did not spring back up he had to trim them way back, hope that doesn't happen to your cousins tree. you're like me I love antique shops, Thanks for sharing God Bless
I remember when went to visit my cousins in Missouri I was a teenager, we went to pick peaches 🍑,,..those were the best tasting peaches I had ever had and hadn't had since then... We so enjoy watching your videos they remind us of to enjoy these times we live in that it doesn't take a lot of excitement to enjoy them It's our kind of life... Thrifting,is one of my favorite things to do..matter a fact I need to take some items that I don't need anymore to our local thrift store... Hey records,,if you find any good ones you can resale them .. Enjoying being together and taking care of our responsibilities,, God is and has been So Good to us in this life..
I trimmed our peach tree this year because the limbs were breaking and splitting so badly! Needless to say, we didn’t get any peaches this year, but good Lord willing, we should be back on track next year! I like to walk around and look in Tractor Supply, but at their prices, that’s about ALL I can afford to do there! The thrift stores tho? Now, that’s one of my favorite ways to spend a Saturday! Either poking around in thrift stores or antique/junk shops! That’s more my style….& wallet!😏😁

Birds like the hot . I once owned a parrot, and the lady I bought her from said they like the hot. I have bird feeders and put the hot in my feeders and it’s usually gone first.
Nothing like Georgia peaches. That was the most amazing sight ever. We grow peaches 🍑 in Texas. But the old saying everything in Texas is bigger. We our peaches don’t get that big, Our trees don’t have that much haul. Next week here in east Texas temperatures 101-105 right before school starts back up🤦♂️. Summer break doesn’t last long enough for our children.

I trimmed our peach tree this year because the limbs were breaking and splitting so badly! Needless to say, we didn’t get any peaches this year, but good Lord willing, we should be back on track next year! I like to walk around and look in Tractor Supply, but at their prices, that’s about ALL I can afford to do there! The thrift stores tho? Now, that’s one of my favorite ways to spend a Saturday! Either poking around in thrift stores or antique/junk shops! That’s more my style….& wallet!😏😁

Birds like the hot . I once owned a parrot, and the lady I bought her from said they like the hot. I have bird feeders and put the hot in my feeders and it’s usually gone first.

Nothing like Georgia peaches.
That was the most amazing sight ever.
We grow peaches 🍑 in Texas.
But the old saying everything in Texas is bigger.
We our peaches don’t get that big,
Our trees don’t have that much haul.
Next week here in east Texas temperatures 101-105 right before school starts back up🤦♂️.
Summer break doesn’t last long enough for our children.
