Henry Cavil playing The Emper. Dead. On the golden throne. For 40 min, the whole episodes. Just different angles of Cav’s face with dramatic classic music.
I always thought the most realistic TV Show for 40k would be 1) Inquistorial Mystery Investigation Story (with either Chaos or Renegades as the baddies) 2) War Stories centered around the Guard, either a tank crew like in Fury or infantry crew on a mission like in 1914/Saving Private Ryan. Could also be the most realistic way of us seeing important 40k campaigns like Sabbat Worlds, Badab War or Damocles Crusade. Personally though my dream adaptation would be a movie centered around Knight Household+ Guard invading a renegade world with a strong throughline of political intrigue.
I foresee the project ending up in one of two extreme ways either we get halo/rings of power or arcane, no inbetween. It will be either amazing introduction that is still lore accurate but requires 0 prior knowledge or an utter dumpsterfire.
Best start for this is an Inquisitor going around "solving problems". Game of Thrones style cast setting the Inquisitor and their retinue against the local powers. There can be mystery box elements in the Inquisitors stuff, getting help from mystery source, is it AI, is it Xenos, or chaos? End the first season with Exterminatus the planet (perhaps saving only one person from the planet cast to continue with retinue). Next season starts with Inquisitorial judgement and then a new place with new problem to solve. Focus should be to capture the feel of 40k and give some limited lore dumps, to make people hungry to find out more.
I think a really good, self contained, already established lore series would be the Siege of Vraks. Very minimal Space Marines, and basically just sci-fi world war 1.
I would bet Constantine Valdor. Guy's present throughout 30k and the heresy, and now's in the Bequin books as the king in Yellow. It's the perfect role to be a constant figure in 40k.
@@yvastel8153 Not on the list. Transhumans should be used sparingly and done as practically as possible to keep them as wondrous as possible. Henry’s a tall boy, but even forced perspective and elevator shoes won’t let him do justice to an Astarte, much less a Custode.
A noise Marine and a Sister Sororitas living as roommates together and geting into shenanigans because of their very difering religious believes, also because the noise marine is a slut and the Sister Sororitas is keeping her virginity for the emperor. The noise Marine has a little brother who moves in and is a plague marine. Boom 6 seasons and a movie.
I would love to see the horus Heresy animated. Now, I know I will get hate for it, but hear me out. You can combine the first two books, Horus Rising and False Gods into one 12-15 episode season. Not easily, and stuff will be cut, obviously, but it can be done well. The first three episodes can be dedicvated to 6319, while the next two can be Murder, and then two episodes for the Interex. You can then use the remaining episodes for False Gods, with two episodes dedicated to the events on Davin's Moon. From there, its still fairly easy if done right to mak a season 2 with the events of Galaxy in Flames and Flight of the einstein, as well, depending on how much detail you want in it, Prospero Burns.
Honestly i hope they have a space marine show up as a cameo, heck they can do that for real, cosplayers already proofed that you can have a true scale space marine walk around and look real.
If they were it would probably have to either be: 1. A scenario where the main cast have gotten into a fire fight and have lost all hope of surviving and are prepping for the end and the space marines come in at the last second to save them. 2. The space marines are eviscerated in order to show the strength of whatever faction is the antagonist. (think that one scene from the Ciaphas Cain books where the terminator is ripped open like a cheetos bag by a Tyranid on a spacehulk or the 10th edition trailer)
13:28 @Moots thank you for the endorsement. I loved the first season and despite being fully behind the premise of the show I couldn't find the motivation to watch the second season. This just gave me the nudge to rewatch the whole thing. Thank you.
I feel like the biggest discussion for Mr. Cavill is what subject that wouldn’t be alienating to newbies. Series after that intro could go more crazy with the lore
I am convinced that Rebel Moon exists primarily for the purpose of undermining Henry Cavill's 40k show. People who don't know Warhammer are going to think he's copying Snyder.
@LinkiePup just wait for "Henry Cavill's new show is trying to get you to sympathize with the bad guys from Rebel Moon proving once and for all that he is a far right n*zi"
It has to be ciaphas cain the books are allready episodic and cover all 40k enemies it has interesting and charismatic characters and has the right amount of humour to attract normies
What if they have an eye of the emperor? I can't proove that it would be realistic since i don't really know how they work but it would satisfy the fandom's unquenchable thirst for Big men
My guess/ hope is he structures it like True Detective did. Anthology of seasons. So one season follows one set of characters and events, then changes next season.
I know I'm late to the party. But what about an Eisenhorn series in the style of Cowboy Bebop? Not necessarily the animation style, but in the flow of both stories are pretty similar. I think it would work real well.
A quick and easy introduction to ear hammer 40K in tv or movie form wuld be starship troopers , but it is tyranids and imperial guard ( with one or two squads of spacemarenes. Mabe the salamanders)
i think the expsane and dune tv show and movies show how far we come, a warhammer tv show shuld be not about spacmarine maby somthing like a crime show or abou the live of a soilder.
Hey guys my group of friends were largely inspired by you guys, i run a podcast now myself that's guest oriented. Would you guys consider either being a guest on mine or having us on yours?
Look at what the MCU did to comic books, and then ask yourselves again if you really want this. Warhammer does not need a (live action)TV show, or a movie. Not until the companies that produce this slop can get their s*** together and start producing quality content again. Because not only will the product itself be an abomination, the culture will actually ruin the product that it's based on. Don't wish for this, it is absolutely a monkey paw wish.

if its a Cavil show just have him do Ciaphas Cain.
Cavil said while inquisitors are cool he would want to play a more super human role like a primarch or custodes. And I can't blame him.
I'd like to see him play Gregor Eisenhorn
@@santaclausekingThe God Emperor, then.
I hope so
@@santaclausekinghe’s Superman I feel like he needs to be super human
the cardboard cutout got me ROARING!
Wasn't expecting to see you here.
But PRAISE THE OMNISSIAH!!!
The Perfect storyline would be story of the All Guardsmen party from Shoggy the seldom dog.
Let's be honest here.
If the show was just Henry Cavill reading all Warhammer books, it would still be a bang.

Here me out; Live Action TTS and Henry Cavill as Kitten
Now we're talking 👀
THIS, forget my idea of him being the entire Alpha Legion or a Custodes protecting someone!

Acceptable answers for a Henry Cavil vehicle:
Eisenhorne
Ciaphus Cain
Gaunt’s Ghosts
The Last Chancers
Cavil as Eisenhorne would be great.
I would bet Constantine Valdor. Guy's present throughout 30k and the heresy, and now's in the Bequin books as the king in Yellow. It's the perfect role to be a constant figure in 40k.

whats your thoughts on him playing Argel Tal? personally I myself find that Jesse Eisenberg would play a great Erebus
Okay we got...
Edgy Night Lord
Swedish Ork
Zealous Iron Hand Successor
Bullied Death Guard
And special guest today
Loyal Larry (The cardboard cutout)
He isn’t a word bearer he is a iron hand successor
@@arandomguyontheinternet2308 Good to know... Let me just fix that then.
Honesty, I could see Ciaphas Cain or Eisenhorn
I think if they do a 40k show they should start with the fall of terra series

This thumbnail art looks familiar.
I always wanted a show basic on the vampire wars in fantasy. Cavill would play a great Vlad von Carstein.

You could do a palace intrigue romantic drama with Fulfrim while he was still on Chemos...he did married a bunch a noble woman for alliamce and stuff
Thank you guys for being so grounded and realistic about your expectations for this show.
Imperial Guards series.
The head and left-hand axe are both from the 'Chaos Lord on Karkadrak' model from Age of Sigmar.

Its henry cavil it wont be a space marine it would be one of the retired custodes
I don't care what kind of 40k show or movie gets made, David Lynch should direct it
He should do a Tyranid invasion, from Cult to harvest.
