I remember an episode about painter I think, he was an alcoholic and he and Beaver were friends. Beaver unknowing gave him alcohol, but of course Beaver didn’t know that he had something wrong. Ward kept him on providing that he not drink while on the job. I think that was a very important episode that they dealt with. My dad was also an alcoholic too. I understood it well as a kid, only thing I found strange was why there wasn’t any violence in the episode. In my young mind I thought it was great because no other TV shows dealt with that issue, alcoholism. ⭐️
Same here. I grew up in a dysfunctional home where my father had severe obsessive compulsive disorder and my mother was always sick with Crohn's disease. I always wished I had lived in a home like the Cleavers or the Brady Bunch.
Me too! I never realized until I heard someone make reference to fact that it has never been completely taken off the air...may be the only ditcom that has aired continually since its beginning.
My favorite show growing up in a much simpler and joyful time. By far the best episode was watching Beaver get stuck in the tea cup billboard. Thanks for the memories! 😊👍🏻
My favorite episode is when Beaver as usual misunderstood his parents and thought they wanted to be rid of him. So he went to an adoption agency in search of new parents. But the lady who ran the agency sized up Beaver's predicament perfectly and called for Beaver's own biological parents to adopt him. I literally cried at the happy ending. Good writing.
I love the episodes with Larry. Beaver was always so adorable, and Wally was not only handsome but kind and gentle. The relationship between Beaver and Wally is as the one that was shared between my late brother and me.
I have a horse, I’ve always had a horse. My husband quoted Beaver “you know, Larry, if I ever get married, I’m gonna marry a girl with a horse.” That episode is one of his favorites.
Funny but I didn't watch the show that much when it was actually airing. Now in my 70's it brings back so much warmth and nostalgia compared to what's on these days. I watch or DVR it every morning and view it later in the day. Pure and wholesome show. ❤
I love this show! I can watch them all day! My mom grew up with this show and on reruns introduced me to them year ago. Of all the old 50’s family sitcoms this is my number one! 😘👍🏼♥️
I love, "Leave it to Beaver." Even though it was about a fictitious family, it helped give Americans a much higher example and standard of wholesome decency to try to live up to as opposed to other fictitious TV shows we've only seen sink lower and lower since that time.
@@FactsVerse The closest they came to a pet was when Beaver found a stray Chihuahua but eventually had to give it up when they found the actual owner. Very sad. I had a similar situation when I was a kid.
@@edwardbaker1331 When the boys had to rehome their alligator Captain Jack, mom and dad had a puppy in their bedroom. Never saw the puppy in any other épisode.
@@FactsVerseI have to change my mind. What's a Roku box our son gave us for Christmas I have the whole leave it to Beaver seasons and episodes. Beaver and Henry is my favorite I just watched it a little bit ago and it's hilarious. A bunch of rats knocked Henry down and they're biting him. Turns out his pet rabbit named Henry had babies and they were nursing. But Beaver didn't know so he wanted wallet to get his baseball bat and go beat up the rats! 😂😂😂😂😂
This was pretty cool. I still watch Leave It to Beaver, there was a blooper in an episode I just watched. (I forget the exact episode though). Ward was out front trying to repair the front doorbell, he was ringing it when June came and said “Hugh, what are you doing?….” Using Hugh (Beaumont) instead of Ward (Cleaver ). Thanks for doing this video
Mark Hamill did the same thing when filming "STAR WARS" EP. IV... At the end of the film, after he blows up the "Death Star ", they're all running in, where the X-wings have just returned to the Rebel base hangar, and are excitedly greeting each other, and Luke calls out Carrie (Fisher) instead of "Leia" or even just "Princess"...The scene was left in the finished film, because Lucas liked the way it had been shot....
Grew up on leave it to Beaver. M now retired and I continue to enjoy the show every day n never miss an episode. Thank you so much Cleaver family, Larry, The Lump n very much beloved Eddy Haskel.❤️🙏
Love Leave it to Beaver.. brings you back to the good old days. Always wanted a big brother like Wally and a best buddie like Eddie. Ward was one of the greatest TV Dads ever. Beaver was so cute and funny. Still watch it on reruns
Every episode is my favorite. I have loved this show since grade school in the sixties! Re runs were on during the day, so sick days and snow days were the best! Also loved Father Knows Best, Bachelor Father, i Love Lucy, the Mike Douglas show and on and on!
@@FactsVerse I was about the Beav’s age, so Wally I guess. You know, whenever I talk about my childhood I say “it was great growing up in the 50’s and 60’s, but it wasn’t Beaver Cleaver”. To me, they had a perfect family.
I liked the one where Wally got a jelly roll haircut. Every time he came into a scene, they played this jazzy music. Then Beaver had his hair done the same way.
One of my favorite episodes was when Beaver and Larry Mondelo skipped school and ended up appearing on television that day. Wally was home from school and saw them on tv.
Love this show, grew up with it, raised my children and now grandchldren, nieces, nephews and of course, all the older folks ! Our mom and dad with 6 kids was so much like the Cleavers !!! AH, MEMORIES !!! THOSE GOOD DAYS ARE LONG GONE AND MANY WILL KNOW HOW GOOD IT REALLY WAS !!!
I’m about the same age as Jerry Mathers. Watching BEAVER as a child his thinking process made perfect sense to me. Fast Forward 20 years; now I’m teaching elementary school. I watch BEAVER reruns when I get home from school. Now I’m Miss Landers, and kids were exactly the same. They thought Beavers ideas made perfect sense. I’ve been retired 15 years now. I hope kids still think like Beaver.
My favorite episode was when June left town to go take care of a sick relative and Aunt Martha came to take care of the kids. Aunt Martha bought Beaver those short pants and his classmates made fun of him! He asked his dad for help and Ward promised the next morning he would. Beaver comes downstairs and asks where his dad is at and is told he left early! Poor Beaver, but unbeknownst to him Ward is in the garage waiting for him with long pants in hand! And to relieve him of the umbrella Aunt Martha made him take because she always thought it was going to rain! Once again Ward saved the day! What a father, dad and a friend!👍😁❤️
I remember one episode where the Beaver did something wrong and Ward called him a name, Beaver then said to his dad next time please hit me instead of calling me a name. Why? asked Ward. Beaver said because eventually the pain will go away. You'd never hear that nowadays.
My favorite episode was when Eddie and Wally tied a chain to the rear axle of Lumpy's car. They thought that the chain would just stop the car when Lumpy drove away. However, when Lumpy took off, the chain pulled out the axle from the car, causing a lot of damage.
Actually Lumpy was the one who pulled the pranks on both Eddie and Wally first and then Eddie and Wally wanted to teach Lumpy a lesson so they go to Lumpy's house and tied the chain to the rear axle and when Lumpy tried to drive off, yes the axle pulled out but what was really funny was when Lumpy got out of the car , ran out and yelled "Daddy, Daddy...." before the commercial break.
I love the show. I watched it in reruns when I was a kid and I really believed there was such a family as The Cleavers. I still watch the show when it's on here. The best is when Eddie Haskell and Larry Mondello characters are in the show. They were so funny and we could all relate to someone we knew like them growing up. Anyway, thanks for the memories. 😀
Eddie was good as a suck-up: "Gee, Mrs. Cleaver, that's a pretty dress." Later, he became a real weenie. But still an interesting character. Larry was good, always eating an apple, it seemed.
@@FactsVerse Well, I have more than a few favorites!!!... Here are just a handful of some of my favorite episodes!!! ☺️ Beaver Takes a Bath The Haircut Teacher Comes To Dinner Wally's Big Date The Visiting Aunt's Beaver & Henry A Horse Named Nick 👏☺️ ... And so many more!!!!
A great show! My favorite episode is when Ward’s aunt comes to stay with the family while June is away. Ward’s aunt has some very different ideas on how a 8 year old boy should dress for school. As Beaver is leaving reluctantly to go to school, Ward pulls him into the garage where he has jeans and a shirt to put on. I always thought this was a great episode because it showed a great relationship between father & son.
That’s awesome, I’m sure you already know this, but…Ken Osmond eventually became a police officer with the LAPD, and in 1980, was shot 3 times, thankfully he was not seriously injured. Two bullets hit his vest and one hit his belt buckle
I always wondered why the Cleavers had a palatial house, but the two boys shared a bedroom. And why Mrs Cleaver solved every problem by putting a roast in the oven.
The little boy who played Benji was so cute in the episode where he locked himself in the bathroom and the boys couldn't discuss what he went in there for. Funny little guy.😃
What's sad? Has anyone noticed how many of the child stars are already gone? Tony Dow, Ken Osmond, Stanley Fafara, Frank Bank, Cheryl Holdridge and also dying young was Ms Landers aka Sue Randall and Ms Canfield aka Diane Brewster. Heck Hugh Beaumont was only 72 when he passed. Very sad. ☹
I agree. He was a jerk a jackass but he was never as totally repulsive boy. He could have feelings and do occasionally good deed. He wasn't really mean. He was a big blowhard but never meant real harm.
A lot of episodes come to mind, but Beaver Runs Away was really funny. June defied Ward, took out the car to go find him. Ward was mad, hurt, but end the end you knew he cared.
This may explain why we never get to see any footage of June Cleaver learning to speak jive so she could translate between the stewardess and passengers in AIRPLANE.
You could not show a married couple sleeping in the same bed. They had to show that the couple slept in individual twin beds. Even a couple where the actors were actually married could not be shown in the same bed, e.g. Lucille Ball and Desi Arnez.
I love leave it to beaver & still watch the show today. Beaver was so cute when he was lil bitty & wally was just so handsome. Two great boys with great parents. Just an all around good show. I liked all the actors & actresses n the show. Even eddy lol he just got in my nerves lmfao 😊
Loved Junes digs at Ward when messed up. Or when he would talk about when he was a boy. She actually walked away from him when he was explaining something one time. Hilarious
I loved them all! Btw I'm from Atlanta,Ga growing up there in the 50s & 60s. I've always said I grew up in a "Leave it to Beaver" neighborhood. Evidently it was universal throughout the USA!😅
I seriously doubt Mayfield was in the midwest or even the east coast. I'm from the midwest. Back in the 50's and 60''s it would start snowing in November and you didn't see green until spring. Yet with all the episodes showing the boys going to/coming from school not once was there ever snow on the ground. Great video.
The biggest goof was when Beaver smoked Ward's pipe and used pine-scented room spray to cover up the stench. Later, June was sitting in that room and Ward walked in. He immediately smelled the pine scent but June didn't notice it at all. I never understood that. Beaver had sprayed a large amount of it.
I love the episode where Larry and Beaver take out the toy car and get a ticket for driving without a license. I have watched every episode so much i know the dialogue
Watch it every morning and we constantly find things that don't "fit" with other episodes. Seems no matter how much we watch we pick up on another, "what?" that doesn't marry with other shows, and the things that are different later on when referenced. The one thing that is relatable to today is, June always saying that's not like them, or whichever one, but they're constantly getting in trouble.
Didn't really have a favorite episode of "Leave It To Beaver," they were all equally good. FYI there's a Mayfield in Kentucky as well... Thanks for the info Facts Verse.
My favorite today is the one with Henry the Rabbit, where Beaver thinks the mama rabbit is being attacked by rats if I remember correctly,I loved his expressions so funny
I don't know why we are holding Leave it to Beaver to these standards. It is about what people wanted to from entertainment. This was the generation that fought WWII. A good chunk of their youth was dedicated to fighting and surviving the blood and gore ,of the most violent in hauman history. . There's more than one TV show that shows a life more idyllic then real life at the time for example my three sons, bewitched, my mother car, car 5 , McHale's Navy, Dick. Van Dyke Showy Dennis the menace, Batman, The Munsters and The Addams family. So let's just accept what leave it to Beaver is all about. It's just entertainment. It's therefore a single, it's too alouw people to relax laugh a little bit and enjoy a nice neat little series about a little boy growing up in the 1950s and early 1960 "s . This is what that generation wanted and needed. That was a generation who suffered massive PTSD. And that is why all of these shows have people drinking alcohol.
Amen brother. Those people in the real world saved our nation (and other nations). It (the show and others like it) was pure entertainment at the end of a hard day of work.
I loved “Car 54 where are you?” Anybody know the name of the actor who played the owner of car 54 and also the name of the actor who voiced the car 54?
I grew up in a alcoholic home and this show was like peeking into Heaven for me. To see a family that enjoyed each other's company and a mother that actually cooked food for the family! That was my dream and my example that I could be different with my family. I tried to be as much of a June Cleaver to my kids as I could. 😊
“Leave It To Beaver Fan” is one of the most iconic TV shows of its time. I love all of the episodes so much and watch 2-4 episodes each morning! My favorite episode is when Beaver fell in love with with the young teacher substituting for Miss Lander’s one season. ❤ I wish some Network would bring back the original “Lassie” series. Yes, it’s old; however, Timmy and Lassie would either learn a lesson (ie what happens if you disobey a parent) or Timmy and/or Lassie helped someone in need. (ie an act of kindness, or saving a life). This would be a great gift across the US to the little ones. Let them learn love again. ❤
My favorite Leave it to Beaver episode occurred in about the late middle of Season 4 when Beaver made a face in the camera as his 5th grade class was getting class picture taken, (and his buddy Gilbert who nudged Beaver,, did NOT make a face,,, LoL)!
I’ve been consumed on where Mayfield could be. In the episode where the boys build a canoe Ward tries to comfort June by saying don’t worry the ocean is 20 miles away. It can’t be California, in the episode where Beaver graduates from Grant Ave June tells Beaver his Uncle Billy is coming all the way from California. Ward says a few times the home office of his company is in NY. My best guess would be Maryland or Delaware. There’s also a reference to a relative in Florida also the boys almost always have light jackets on when outside, though it never snows or is wintertime cold.
There's no one location that matches all of the clues, but Ohio comes closer than any other place. Then, there were those prop checks with Wally's name and address on them (from the later Leave It To Beaver sequel) showing Wally's address as being in Mayfield, Ohio (he was living right next door to June, who was still living in the Cleaver's second family home).
Also, in the one episode, Richard says he can't go home until he sees a license plate from New Jersey. I think he would have a long wait if they lived in California. I would guess east coast too.
Favorite episodes are hard to pick. They were all good. I did like the one about Wally having a first date with a girl at a restaurant, and discovering he had forgotten his wallet as they were dining. Ward Cleaver made a call to the establishment and made a payment arrangement, saving Wally any embarrassment at all. I haven't seen the show in at least five decades, but I remember how fun they were to watch in the early sixties.
I watched Leave it to Beaver regularly as a child. I can't claim to have a favorite episode because I really only remember one. Can't say it was my favorite, just more memorable (perhaps because I was probably around 15 years old when I saw it). It concerned a new latino kid in town and the confusion caused when Beaver's brother taught him a supposed "welcome to the neighborhood" phrase in Spanish to say to his new friend but what's he actually said was "You have a face like a pig"!
@Hope Resnick, The episode you're thinking about is when Eddie Haskell taught Beaver a Spanish saying that turned out to be insulting to the Spanish speaking boy. And, yes, that was a good episode. Thanks for the memory.
I recall that, a rare case of a minority character. I think Ward took Beaver to the family to the family to explain and apologize. I grew up with the reruns since I was born in the late 60's.
Perhaps if more wholesome shows like this, The Waltons, Little House on the Prairie, My Three Sons,,,etc were made today instead of the violent nature of shows our kids are exposed to, there would be less violence in this country. Loved Leave it to Beaver and all those shows back then. Now it’s hard to find non violent shows on TV. No wonder streaming is overtaking cable!
I liked when in realization that Beaver Learned his lesson so instead of mailing the letter to his Aunt Martha to apologize for the mishap of the ring she'd given him his Dad decided he'd learned his lesson so he could rip it up and after he did he then kissed his Dad in appreciation for this and this was not as common on TV or in real life as it got to be much later on both on TV & in real life.
All of the episodes were great! One l remember that had me laughing out loud was when Beaver had an exchange student from Spain. Beaver wanted to befriend the boy and went to Eddie Haskell who had a Spanish language class. Beaver asks Eddie for something he could say to the exchange student As a Compliment but, being the Rat Eddie instead told the boy, "Tu tienes una cara como in puerco" or You have the face of a Pig 🐖 Eddie played the Jerk very well! 😃♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
The Spanish boy was from somewhere in South America, no exact country was mentioned. The boy's name was Roberto Varela but he went by Chuey. His dad work in the Diplomatic Office. Neither Chuey nor his parents spoke English. Loved when June told Mrs. Varela to sit on the table (la mesa) while pointing to the sofa. 🤣
My favorite and my brother's, too, was when Wally and Beaver babysat "Puddin' " who kept wanting to "go see Mary Jane." It just got funnier from there!
I love when Beaver cuts his own hair and Wally finishes it up. Hilarious! Also, Eddie was such a talented actor on this show. He had the best lines! I agree with you it's a little hard to place location, since the palm trees were present from time to time, and they talked about going to the beach that was close by.Of course the alligator in an early episode, was taken to an alligator park they won't survive in cold weather. I love Judy and Larry also, and so many of the other stars. I wish the Back to Beaver show that followed was as talented with the writing. It really was sort of sad with Beaver having such a horrible wife that wanted a divorce.
I think that would be a good move having poor innocent Beaver hooked up with a mean wife who tricked him into a bad marriage while All American Wally married a June Cleaver type wife and had good children who were nice and neat . Of course Beavers wife had children previous to her marriage and they were troublesome and derespectful to the old Beav .
My favorite episode is when Beaver gets his head stuck in a fence and he's willing to starve to death rather than to get yelled at by Ward, even though Ward was never shown yelling at either of the boys.
No he didn’t yell but he sure could make them feel guilty. That’s what my parents did too! I hated to have my parents ashamed of me ever!! I’m 72 and if my parents were alive I would be just as humble as I was when I was a kid.
And Beaver was always saying "Are you gonna hit me, Dad?" even though Ward never did that. Larry Mondello used to get walloped when his dad came home, though.
I like Larry Mondello. He would talk Beaver into doing something and when it backfired his response was "I gotta go home now, Beaver". Then he would just leave Beaver there to get in trouble. This show was so innocent. I watch it any time I can.
I remember an episode where Larry or Beaver are called on by the teacher and they stand to answer the teacher while the blackboard is in the near background with math problems (addition/subtraction) written on it. One of the more prominent problems in the shot, almost in the center of the frame is wrong by a factor of one. I've often wondered if the crew was playing a prank.
All in the Family was the first show that you heard a toilet flush it got a huge laugh every time Archie would be upstairs the rest of the family downstairs and we would hear the toilet flush then Archie came down the steps and every time the toilet flush sound was heard a huge laugh it was famous for this.
The episode with the old fireman telling the Beav a story about being afraid to jump into the net to save himself. I don't recall what Beaver was afraid of, perhaps riding on a roller coaster. Beaver can be overheard saying Gus and the net over and over to keep his courage up.
@@FactsVerse The episode where Beaver and Larry play hookey from school. They were late for school, and decided not to go. They end up getting interviewed on a TV show, and Wally, who was home from school because he was ill, and their mother, June, sees Beaver and Larry on TV. The following day, Beaver had to apologize to his teacher for skipping school the day before.
That calendar thing happened a lot - it's like they would go out of their way to not give out the date. A lot of shows in the 1950s and 1960s would put the copyright date in the opening credits that would last for one or more seasons. Donna Reed Show 1961-1963 had a 1961 copyright date. Bewitched would have 1964-1966 use 1964, although the theme song would tell you it was in the 1965-1966 season. Seasons 3-6 had the 1966 opening that lasted through 1969, and the 1969 opening lasted through 1972.
Still watch LITB daily. Just saw an episode yesterday that showed a brief glimpse of the toilet tank in the boys bathroom. As I continue to watch the reruns I've begun to notice inconsistencies over the years. The 3rd rendition of the opening theme has a subtle blooper. When June comes out of the front door holding a tray of ice tea in her hands, the door automatically opens for her and closes behind her. But it's not done by Ward or any one of the boys as they are outside doing yard work! Fred Rutherford only once mentions Lumpy has two older brothers. Then on other episodes Fred just mentions either Lumpy or Violet (2 different Violets) but never seen or mentioned together (?). Over the years, Eddie Haskell has had three different looking fathers. In the episode where Beaver is supposed to be a canary in the 3rd grade play, you see Larry's father for the first and last time. Early on, Larry mentions he has two older brothers bit doesn't mention a sister. Then he just has the one married brother with a child and then an older sister his mom desperately wants to marry off! The show was also frugal with the vehicles used on the set. You see the same car that Ward drives being driven down the street or parked elsewhere in other scenes. I think it was a community car! Good stuff anyway. Thanks for sharing. 🤣🤣
One thing that puzzled me about Mrs. Mondello was how old she looked...more like she was in her 50s. Another thing was her husband was never around; always on a "business" trip.
@ John Tiggleman-- I also always thought that Mrs. Mondello looked like she could be Larry's grandmother. She was played by Madge Blake who was born in 1899. She appeared in eleven episodes of LITB from 1958 to 1960. In 1960, she was 61 years old.
I love Leave it to Beaver I recorded all episodes keep watching it on television everyday also. The fifties were the best years ever loved them was a young girl
@@FactsVerse Too many of my favorites to decide on one episode I love them all I record the episodes and watch them over and over plus they’re on three different channels
The real show was in the creative writing...every week a new episode and an entirely new slice of Americana. Compare shows like "Bewitched" which was almost always about Darrin, his boss, Larry Tate and a nose twitch or two.. The Beaver never fell into such a rut and remained as unpredictable as any nine year old kid can be.
One blooper that was kept in was when Larry stuck out his tongue too soon at Beaver when they were in an argument. Rusty Stevens who played Larry quickly put his hand over his mouth then after Ward finished talking (on the phone i think) he proceeded with his part and stuck his tongue out again.
Star Trek & Get Smart are two of the rare shows that saved outtakes.Don Adams frequently showed them on talk shows. The Summer in Alaska episode was very realistic in the interviewer telling Eddie how dangerous commercial fishing is.
There was an episode where Beaver was avoiding going home. Why, I don't remember. The determinant for when he'd go home was when he saw a passing car with a New Jersey license plate. Safe to say Mayfield wasn't in New Jersey.
One episode sticks out in my mind: The one when Larry Mondello keeps coaxing Beaver to take his go cart out a little at a time. First they take it out of the garage and look at it, then they start the engine, then they drive it around in the driveway, and pretty soon they're driving it on the street around the neighborhood. Then they get pulled over by a cop, and they get in trouble. I remember that one because I was a teen and saw it a day or two before some friends dropped over at my house to see my new-to-me sports car. It had a manual transmission, and I didn't know how to drive it yet. We were looking at the car in the garage, but they wanted to get a better look at it, so we pushed it out into the driveway. Not long after that, they asked me to start it up, so I did. Then they wanted to drive it just to the end of the driveway (it wasn't registered yet). I stopped them right there, because I knew where this was going. I'd just seen what happened to Beaver, and I didn't want to get the business! So yeah, I guess that's my favorite episode.😉

Awesome!
I'll have to listen for that. I've been finding bloopers on the show.
You're very much welcome! We're glad to know that you love our video. If we may ask, what other types of video would you like to see on Facts Verse?
Mark Hamill did the same thing when filming "STAR WARS" EP. IV... At the end of the film, after he blows up the "Death Star ", they're all running in, where the X-wings have just returned to the Rebel base hangar, and are excitedly greeting each other, and Luke calls out Carrie (Fisher) instead of "Leia" or even just "Princess"...The scene was left in the finished film, because Lucas liked the way it had been shot....
@@jchapman8248 I’ll try to find the episode, and post it here. I had to have my wife listen to be sure I wasn’t missing something
Same here. The strict parent (my father) was at work and my mother let me watch tv all day when I sick on a school day.
The roller coaster episode always cracks me up. I grew up watching this show in the 50s and 60s. Still love it today.
Did your mom wear her pearls while she cleaned?
One of our favorites too, you've got taste! Who is your favorite cast member?
@@FactsVerse I was about the Beav’s age, so Wally I guess. You know, whenever I talk about my childhood I say “it was great growing up in the 50’s and 60’s, but it wasn’t Beaver Cleaver”. To me, they had a perfect family.
Rosie the Riveter didn't necessarily like the idea of homemaking after WWII ended, so women's fashions were intentionally made factory inappropriate.
@@kalburgy2114 June’s clothes ( some) came from JC Penney as she was able to ware them off the rack.
I liked the one where Wally got a jelly roll haircut. Every time he came into a scene, they played this jazzy music. Then Beaver had his hair done the same way.
And since Beaver didn't have curly hair like Wally, his jelly roll ended up looking really spiky.
@TerryCloth That straight-hair-spikiness did give him more of a modern look!
Revisiting this show again I’ve found it so much more funny and enjoyable now than when I did as a kid.
Great choice. That episode of Ward helping the Beav with the "cool" set clothes chokes me up for some reason.😥😥
and when judy gets her hair pulled, lol
I remember one episode where the Beaver did something wrong and Ward called him a name, Beaver then said to his dad next time please hit me instead of calling me a name. Why? asked Ward. Beaver said because eventually the pain will go away. You'd never hear that nowadays.
Yes, I remember that, I believe he used to word dumb.
Loved them all.We could use a show like that today.
Glad to know that you love Leave it to Beaver! Which episode is the most memorable for you?
My favorite episode was when Eddie and Wally tied a chain to the rear axle of Lumpy's car. They thought that the chain would just stop the car when Lumpy drove away. However, when Lumpy took off, the chain pulled out the axle from the car, causing a lot of damage.
That old wreck must've weighed a ton and the three of them had to move tha jalopy back onto the driveway sans the rear axle!
And that stunt showed up in the movie "American Graffiti."
One of our favorites too, you've got taste! What other types of video would you like to see?
"Gee,Daddy. Can't believe that happened. Can I go see if Mom has some ice cream?" " SHUT UP, BOOB!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. One of the craziest scenes in the series.
One of my favorite's was when June put her foot down about Beaver eating the Brussel Spouts. That was hilarious.
I love Larry and Eddie! Larry Mondellos mother (Aunt Harriett in Batman) referred to her husband as Mr. Mondello
Yeah you’re young if you watched it in reruns. I watched it with my family in front of one black and white tv! But I watch the reruns too.
Eddie was good as a suck-up: "Gee, Mrs. Cleaver, that's a pretty dress." Later, he became a real weenie. But still an interesting character. Larry was good, always eating an apple, it seemed.

That was June's aunt Martha
I have a cherished pic of myself with Jerry (Beaver) and Ken (Eddie) taken at a bar years ago.
That’s awesome, I’m sure you already know this, but…Ken Osmond eventually became a police officer with the LAPD, and in 1980, was shot 3 times, thankfully he was not seriously injured. Two bullets hit his vest and one hit his belt buckle
What season and episode was that?
Just joking.
Send me a picture of the photo you have, I would like to see it
Fun stuff! We would love to see your picture ♥♥
I always wondered why the Cleavers had a palatial house, but the two boys shared a bedroom. And why Mrs Cleaver solved every problem by putting a roast in the oven.
You may notice in British tv that every problem is solved by the offer of a cup of tea.

Very sad. ☹

Eddie Haskell is one of the greatest characters ever created.
I agree. He was a jerk a jackass but he was never as totally repulsive boy. He could have feelings and do occasionally good deed. He wasn't really mean. He was a big blowhard but never meant real harm.

I loved them all! Btw I'm from Atlanta,Ga growing up there in the 50s & 60s. I've always said I grew up in a "Leave it to Beaver" neighborhood. Evidently it was universal throughout the USA!😅
Yes, when growing up, I was a big fan of Leave It To Jeanie and I Dream of Beaver.
We absolutely agree! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. Be safe and have a great week!

❤
I wish some Network would bring back the original “Lassie” series. ❤
I love all the old shows! This show and my three sons are my favorite!
Fun stuff, thanks for sharing! Which Leave it to Beaver episode is the most memorable for you?
The 1st episode Beaver Gets Spelled is my favorite episode ever
That's one of my favs too 😂😂
I watched Leave it to Beaver regularly as a child.
@@lynnpurcell5225 You're welcome. Guess my memory is a little off.
I recall that, a rare case of a minority character. I think Ward took Beaver to the family to the family to explain and apologize. I grew up with the reruns since I was born in the late 60's.
The Latino boy's name was Roberto "Chuey" Varela. "Vamos arriva Beefer!"

Wally's "Jelly Roll" haircut, my favorite episode. And remember the long distance phone call to Don Drysdale in California.

One l remember that had me laughing out loud was when
Beaver had an exchange student from Spain.
Beaver wanted to befriend the boy and went to Eddie Haskell who had a Spanish language class.
Beaver asks Eddie for something he could say to the exchange student As a Compliment but, being the Rat
Eddie instead told the boy, "Tu
tienes una cara como in puerco"
or You have the face of a Pig 🐖
Eddie played the Jerk very well!

One of our favorites too, you've got taste! What other types of video would you like to see?

Like the one where Beaver broke wally's Trophy and Larry left Beaver hanging lol.
@@deeanna3335 It’s even documented in Beaver’s testimony in traffic court: “I was with Larry Mondelo, and he was eating apples,…”

The haircut from season 1 is hilarious!
Its hard to choose a fave episode. Another great story FV

And Larry did have an older sister because he and Beaver read her diary in one episode.
We're happy to know that you love the show. In your opinion, what is its best episode?
@ John Tiggleman-- I also always thought that Mrs. Mondello looked like she could be Larry's grandmother. She was played by Madge Blake who was born in 1899. She appeared in eleven episodes of LITB from 1958 to 1960. In 1960, she was 61 years old.
I saw a picture of my grandmother when she was 42 years old. She looked 70. Times were tough and it showed on people.
Mayfield was anywhere you wanted it to be. It represented Small Town America in the late 1950s.

@@FactsVerse Too many of my favorites to decide on one episode I love them all I record the episodes and watch them over and over plus they’re on three different channels
Two of my favorites are The Haircut and The Hunting Jacket
Facts Verse also made a blooper. Eddie wasn't on a fishing boat in Alaska, but he hoped to be.
Favourites.
Judy…” because I’m the only one who takes tap and ballet”
Beaver…” I’m running away and I’m not never coming back”
Can you imagine June Cleaver try to talk Jive to beaver and Wally
She was perfect as the jive interpreter!
In the original "Angels in the Outfield" movie she was a hat check girl. No lines but she was hilarious.
Eddie Haskell didn't go to Alaska to serve on a fishing boat. When he found out how difficult it was, he chickened out.
One blooper that was kept in was when Larry stuck out his tongue too soon at Beaver when they were in an argument. Rusty Stevens who played Larry quickly put his hand over his mouth then after Ward finished talking (on the phone i think) he proceeded with his part and stuck his tongue out again.
All of them 💖⭐️. I watch them on Dish and love this show !!!
I remember it in reruns any episode with Eddie in it is the best
Well said, we strongly concur! Thank you for watching our content and for sharing your thoughts. What other types of video would you like to see?
I liked the episode when Wally styled his hair differently.. the looks on his parent's faces.. hilarious!
One of our favorites too, you've got taste! What other types of video would you like to see?
Was and still remains my favorite show. I am 69, am about Benji's age. (those of you of a certain age will know who Benji was).
It is always so much funnier to have somebody explain bloopers instead of simply running clips showing the bloopers.
Just what I was thinking - show us the actual blooper.
