Hi Bree. I have an idea for your lids. Does the company you got the lids from make the seal in a clear rather than black? That might eliminate the marks. Just an idea.
i've been playing around with making candles and my own vessels but also considering trying to outsource the vessels because it seems like soo much to put on myself as a beginner and having a regular 9-5. I like these vessels because they seem to be so close to what would be the concrete vessels i fell for
It was refreshing to watch a video and see another maker revamping their collections, or brand. I’m in the same boat. I want to reel in my branding, and introduce some luxury vessels. I also do the plastic clamshells for wax melts and honestly, it’s really the best option. Loose wax would not ship well, and if stored together (in the satchel) they may all clump together and be difficult to pull apart for the customer. Also, the plastic clamshells make it easier to store not only for yourself, but the customer as well. they can be stacked or hung up. I like the ones you bought from CandleScience. I think maybe your label should be bigger with a little foiling or color (against the white wax) but those are nice. Good luck with these changes and getting yourself into wholesale..
Very true! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I appreciate it. That’s what I love about owning your own business! You can make changes whenever you feel like it! 😂
Thanks for always sharing and showing us what you’re up to. I’m not directly in the candle business but thinking of adding one to my line and I find you inspiring. ❤
Love this! So fun! And congrats on your vessel changes. The muslin bags are fun at markets too. It's like a free treat for customers 😅 I think wrapping thick tissue paper around the vessel and then the crinkle can work
Love this video , I used to use the same vessels you are using now , I switched to their grey / charcoal color the white was constantly having scratche marks and it was driving me crazy 😅 I used to just order dust covers for those jars and put them in the muslin bags and gift box them , I used biodegradable starch peanuts to fill in the gaps in the gift box and they shipped perfectly. I’m so excited to see what you have in store for the New Year 🥰
As I am sitting here testing candles and watching your video, love your videos by the way. I am new to all of this and have learned so much from you and other creators. Can you get lids that have the rubber seal on them, would that possibly stop the lid from rubbing on your vessel? I love your vessel, by the way. I live in Canada and I am trying to find a vessel like that, without having to pay duty, etc. All the best in 2024 Bree!
Thank you so much for watching! Yeah a few others have suggested maybe trying to utilize silicone for the lid. I’m going to reach out to Dulceria and see if they have any suggestions. Wishing you the best, as well!
Hi 👋. I’m so glad I came across your channel. I’m really enjoying your content. Great ideas! For CS modern ceramic with coconut soy wax try a wooden wick, 02 X .625 with a booster or double wick with Premiere 700 series. Start with two 710 or two 715 then go from there. Good luck! 🎊 🎉
Thanks for the video! I love and watch everything you post. For packaging, have you tried wrapping the candle with thin wrapping paper, no lid and then the crinkle paper?
love love your videos...i havent watched in a while. About packaging, why dont you use the tissue papaer option you had used when packaging your grandpas order...then you can add the crinkle cut paper and put in your boxes...probably cheaper than using the lids
What about seed paper for the lid then place it in the bag. Get a separate stamp for each scent or a stamp that you can change out the letters on and stamp the bag. ❤
Hi Bree! Love your content! Keep it coming! I wanted to ask you how you liked or didn't like the Titan 51104? What are your thoughts with that wax? Thanks!
I need to play around with it some more, but first impressions were good. I still am preferring my coco83/sp487 blend to the Titan 51104. I think the Titan had less of a hot throw.
I talk about it more in my previous video, but after completely a 150 candle order I decided it’s not feasible to pursue wholesale or large orders with the concrete vessels. I’ll still do them here and there, but just not for large or wholesale orders.
is concrete off the menu now? honestly wanna thank you and your videos. You and Jai inspired me to dive into concrete which I currently am a year into testing and ironing out the kinks. It is hard work for sure and sometimes I have second thoughts. Regardless, thanks for sharing your journey.
Thank you for watching! It’s not off the menu. I talked about it more in my previous video, but it’s just too much work for large orders which is the direction I’m trying to go. So I’ll still do concrete here and there, but not for wholesale or large orders.
I love this vessels but it has been hard to find the “perfect” wick.. what wicks are you using ? I chose the cd 22” but still I feel it’s not perfect 😂
I made them on Canva! I actually have them listed on my Etsy digital downloads store linked in my bio. You can make the edits to customize them on Canva yourself.
Kinda a bummer right! I actually have done a 180 and am testing completely different jars now. Not for the lid reason, but I think they are a better route to go for my line.
I usually do! I like to pour testers wick-less too until I get an idea of which wick will work. Then I pour a full candle with that wick attached to test.
I tried numerous wicks with a similar vessel size and finally landed on Premier 700 series. (parasoy wax)
Thank you for sharing!

I’m going to reach out to them and ask if they have any tips or advice. Thanks for watching!

I have used both vistaprint and canva and hands down... canva came out on top.
I have used Canva in the past to order prints and had a great experience. I just went with Vistaprint to save on cost.
will you be adding the candle care and business card templates on your etsy shop ? id liove to purchase that@@calafiacandleco

Thanks for sharing! I almost ordered some charcoal ones, too. Will have to check those out

I did wrap some of my holiday ones in tissue paper, then put the crinkle paper around. That may be the best route to take. Thanks for watching!
Happy new year 🎆
Happy new year!
I feel like we're always on the same page 😂 I'm wanting to try porter next ❤
Love Hive & Honey
Hey how are you? You can use the paper tops as lids!
Thank you for sharing ❤
Thank you for watching!
What about foam wrap from Uline? It's soft can wrap it around the vessel then put it in box.
That’s a great idea! Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much! Wonderful content and tips. New to your channel. Liked and subscribed! Great job!!!
Thank you for watching and subscribing! :)

I thought about that, as well. Just think it would be more time consuming. Trying to find the most efficient packaging without losing my branding.
What about seed paper for the lid then place it in the bag. Get a separate stamp for each scent or a stamp that you can change out the letters on and stamp the bag. ❤
Great idea!
I really like that lid but I totally understand you not liking that black mark that it leaves, how about a dust cover?
I used to make dust covers myself a while ago. Could be a route to take! We’ll see.

I love the Muslim bags! I missed what you said you changed your vessels too? I just found you and started making my own vessels

Wicking will differ depending on what wax you're using. I use a blend of coconut 83 and sp487 and have been testing with LX 16-20 wicks.
How do you make your custom warning labels?
I made them on Canva! I actually have them listed on my Etsy digital downloads store linked in my bio. You can make the edits to customize them on Canva yourself.
Hello can you share were you got your Muslim bags and your stamp?
Hi there! The bags are linked in my Amazon storefront in the “packaging” category, and the stamp is from Zazzle.
@@calafiacandleco thankyou!!!!
I ordered the exact same lid sample and it left black on my vessels too 😢
Kinda a bummer right! I actually have done a 180 and am testing completely different jars now. Not for the lid reason, but I think they are a better route to go for my line.
Do you reuse your vessels after testing?
I usually do! I like to pour testers wick-less too until I get an idea of which wick will work. Then I pour a full candle with that wick attached to test.
I loke how look im the bag not tag the box has already the name of the scent.
There are other lids that don't leave those marks.
Yes, I just was looking into the logo lids because I would prefer that.
Any Laser company could etch any lid for you with your Logo, ones that don't leave black marks.@@calafiacandleco
