This gun was put in the game for noobs who find the game too hard , like myself :). It’s a boss melter, no way I could finish the last 2 biomes without it.
full auto thermogenic launcher is good as well, but you need to focus on dodging his attacks and shooting him at the same time. I melted nemesis as well with it.
All weapons are viable in this game. But you have to unlock some key traits for certain guns to shine. Based on my experience the overall most OP gun would the Pyroshell Caster with Auxiliary Projectiles and Seeking Flares. It melts everything and anything in the same room as you, including bosses. You don't even need to aim. Just hold the trigger down in any direction, it will automatically seek the enemies and kill them fast.
Nice im about to do this boss n i have this weapon. I just wasnt sure if would work on boss but looks good. Did i see a health resin drop on the 3rd phase ? Could do with that.
honestly some of the elite mobs are way more annoying and difficult than certain bosses, like the giant flying squid looking thing in the tiny secret rooms, I hate that.
I do love me some EPD, but I got the best roll imaginable on my second attempt at this boss: level 29 Hollowseeker with Trackerswarm. Traits were Portal Beam 3 (!), Split Stream and Portal Turret. It was over in 2 minutes. Just not fair for poor Ophion, who had basically two-shotted me on my first attempt.
The Electropylon is a good damage over time with the avoid damage style of play. But if you want to fight through battles quickly, the Pyroshell Caster with Seeking Flares, or Dreadbound with Expanding/Exploding shards are much better.
for me the best weapon against Ophion is the *Tachyomatic Carbine* with High Caliber prof 25. I managed to defeat him first try and I only knew that I was suppose to shoot the eye when the 1st phase is almost over lmao. I uploaded a video actually, the high caliber damage is just too OP for the Tachyomatic Carbine
Using a health vial when you were still at a full bar of health? Seems like a waste. Anyway I love this gun I don't know if I could be at the end of the game right now without it.
Dude why are you not using overload??? It's hurting to see your reload bars Red everytime! Nice gameplay though. Used this gun too. Makes the battle absolutely one sided!
This was my first playthrough. I have since gotten way better at it. I have the DLC playthrough on my new channel "Tubby Fat Cat Games" Looking back it also irritates me...lol
I want to try this out, but I see you're at max level so I bet my experience will not be as successful as yours. Edit: I couldn't find an electropylon driver, but was able to beat him with a carbine instead at level 29!
That gun is OP, it literally carried me through this fight. I had no idea what I was supposed to hit untill the very end.
All you have to do web up and avoid damage. This weapon is op.
The pylon is so strong it’s not even a challenge anymore. Still my fav weapon tho
I did that boss today with a lvl 24 electropylon. It was too easy, that weapon is definitely the nr1 God tier.

I beat this boss today with the electropylon. After beating it I was like "Is that it?". Was quite surprised how easy it was. Done it on my first run.

I am getting very close to beating Ophion with a spitmaw blaster lvl 28 any day now

My first try it glitched and made the boss immune for a long time.
I defeated ophion last night with this gun. Bonus damage at max. Proficiency 24.
I used this gun from biome4 to the end of the game

I somehow lost this battle with the Ethiopian climber lv 28 didnt know about the nipples just was blastin. Died when had like 10% health womp womp
