The boys will be back! Let us know which slow-mo was the most satisfying for you! 👇
Number 1
Hawk tuahh!!!!
@3:37 I have personally never Itched a scratch before but if I did this would be it 🤣😅🤣
Sparllers was so cool!
Call them to extend their vacations please . I love this ! Thank you ♥🥸
New TV: Put it down gently so you don't break the TV.
CRT: Put it down gently so you don't break a finger.
I'm coincidentally sitting next to my old 32in Widescreen CRT... She could definitely shatter either of our feet's bones if ol' bertha slipped out of our hands! 😅
_(and definitely "our", as it's far too heavy for one person lol)_
i moved into a place and set down my crt tv, it tipped backwards and put a hole in the wall. wasnt even in the house 5 minutes
yeh and careful lifting it so you dont throw out your back !!
CRT: Put it down gently so you don't break the table.
It stands for Cathode Ray Tube
starting a conspiracy that the production team locked the boys in a basement, who's with me
its actually true, I am in the basement with them.
What makes this a little more convincing is that they spelled “Rubik’s Cube” incorrectly, although I hope that's not why.
Nah fr
@@kelton7337liar liar pants on fire
They are on leave! That’s all you need to know
At some point, you should revisit the underwater balloon, but hold it up with a string from the bottom of the tank. (The shot will be cleaner with no chance of impaling fingers:)
Where's the fun in tha- I mean.... What you said... 🤣
@@slate613the sparklers are basically thermite I don’t think thay have any idea how dangerous that was
@@shinobidragon1253 Um, we were talking about the balloon and getting impaled...
I think they ought to fill a balloon with colored water and then place it in clear water. Pop it and watch the interaction between the water color.
@@cheeto4493 oh! that's a great idea!
Normalize content creators taking breaks, and their awesome teams getting some time to shine.
0:33 I refuse to accept the fact that people born after 2000 are adults now
Tell me about it! My nephew is about to get married. I have friends whose kids born in the 2000s are having kids already.
As one of them, I'm sorry to say it's true friend, my condolences
I'm 35 and I'm starting to see young youtubers reacting to Linkin Park as classic. One foot in the grave.
LOL
But you picked the hottest one 😛 0:31
I was born in ‘01 and I’m 24 now. I teach littles that weren’t born before COVID. It’s a weird thing. 💀🤣
I'm liking the "B Team" videos. When the boys would take time off for Summer & Winter breaks, I would be very sad needing my HR video fix. This fills that gap and lets us meet everyone that is usually behind the scenes.
100% agree
We just need to tell them to take more than 1 vacation every 15 years...
Cheers!
I personally don’t like it, I like the 3 guys better. I’ve been a fan for a very long time and I just don’t like it
B team? I was wondering where the A team went?
Top 3 slowmos
3. Underwater balloon pop
2. Rubber band ball vs giant ax
1. Metal ball through glass panes mirror view
Well done guys! 🔥
I knew the remote wouldn't hurt the CRT TV. As an 80's kid, my friend went through dozens of NES controllers he threw at his TV.
And NES controllers were tough! I only remember one of mine breaking, despite throwing them all at the wall at least once.
I had a CRT tv as a 2000s kid and those things can handle some damage. Threw an 360 controller at one and the controller got a chip in it while the tv was unscathed.
Used to work at a major electronics retailer in the UK. They once ran a trade in promotion where we got loads of CRT TVs to recycle. Spent some time throwing things at them out back and it's scary hitting a screen dead on with a hammer and having the hammer return to sender 🤣🤣
Was your friend Poofesure?
i've seen one broken before so i know how thick the glass was.
I gotta say, these crew videos should become a regular part of the scheduled program.
Yeah, throw in a side dish, so the regular doesnt get stale.
🤮 no
5:16 “Don’t do this at home”
Me: It’s the 4th of July and I’m an American, your damn right I’m going to do this at home, I still have all 10 fingers left
Accurate lol
Don't worry about losing an eye either you've got another one!
So you dont have thumbs then??
@@MikeD8318you know what I mean
Shit I’m down to 9 and a half but you don’t see me sitting out on a good time!
13:56 did anyone else see that the explosion bubbles spelled “BOOM”!
But did we get a coney joney??? I need to know!!!
It's actually a pleasure to watch the show without listening to people screaming and yelling constantly
hahaha i agree
Thank you @@ko60655
This should be a permanent series
Yes it should I'm tired of those three gay guys yelling and screaming constantly @@Troll-lw9fi
I haven't watched a HR video from start to finish in a long time, but I did watch the last two without skipping. I think this is why.
"Itch that scratch" - Josh, 2025
They’ve gotta say it opposite down under.
Oi, just bear and grin it
I say what you're seeing.
petition for the crew to make vids every time the lads go on holiday honestly some of the best vids in a while
I love seeing the Production Team the Boys deserve the vacation and the slowys they were satisfying
Edit: thanks so much for so many likes never had this many
Some of these ideas deffo need the slow mo guys to come for a visit with their beefier cameras, would be great to get both production and the main guys in on some concepts too for that collab
Speaking of spinning steel wool, I had this crazy chemistry teacher named Smitty. He once performed the legendary “Green Flame.” After donning goggles, thick gloves, and a heavy apron, he gripped a big wad of steel wool with long tongs, and soaked it in liquid copper sulfate concentrate. We students lowered the blackout curtains, cut the lights, and backed up as far as we could. Then Smitty set the wool on fire with a blowtorch. Copper sulfate burns hot and bright, with a vivid neon green color. He then started circling his arm, holding the tongs with the burning, dripping, fiery neon mess, faster and faster and faster. When he got up to speed, it became a five-foot-wide circle of bright flaming green light. It was a spectacular stunt. He kept that up for a minute or so, until the flame started dying out. Gobbets of copper sulfate, still burning dimly green, were left sticking to the walls and dripping from the ceiling. Smitty was visibly spent from the exertion. He saved that stunt for the end of the year. He was like a rock star that day.
My science teacher was doing the hydrogen experiment with caustic soda and aluminium dust but he put either to much soda or the powder . It went up into the balloon and it popped showering us in the mix . We all had to go to the showers to dilute the mix from our skin . Cost the school a lot for the new uniforms and wounds.
These are the types of science teachers who get remembered for life.
You're nailing it. Great ideas, great execution, great footage.
Pretty sure the Slow Mo Guys would challenge you on most satisfying slow mo
I hope Gav and Dan see burning steel wool slow mos.
They did
0:40 just so you know The Slow Mo Guys did this with a TV already and give a great explanation on what's happening
Everything about that last shot was SO satisfying, well done Josh!! Also, Toby, the I Spy shot might not have been what you envisioned, but as a teacher whose littles love I Spy (and who loved it myself growing up) I thought it perfectly captured the heart and childhood fun of the game! Well crafted. Really enjoying these team vids, you guys!
Wrong TV, wrong WIImote technique.
Those old CRTs are far too strong for it. You needed a 2000's era flatscreen to have a chance. Even then, you had to do an overhand throw, so the Wiimote goes in nose first. As would happen playing Wii Tennis when the wrist strap breaks.
And that's the story of how I killed three TVs in college.
Yeah, no on really had those 90's brick TVs in the era of the Wii anymore.
14:22 From concept to execution to final result, Josh COOKED
That mirror shot🤯
Or,
The mystery of the mirror shot, was the sickest idea ever!!!
And the outcome🧐🤯
HOW RIDICULOUS!!!
WELL DONE👏🏽👏🏽BRAVO
Anyone else see the hot embers and smoke off the rubber band ball drop. 11:31 time. Its on the right side of the ball!
You guys destroyed a perfectly working CRT. Retro-gaming fans everywhere are shedding a tear over that. They don't make those tubes any more, homies.
Millions of CRT out there, dime a dozen
@@TazzzieAdventuresexplain why they cost so much then?
@@TazzzieAdventures Tell that to retro-gamers trying to snag one in working order.
@@MudSluggerBP There's over 50 pounds of glass in them.
I wouldn't expect any gamer to fined one cause their ass is glued to a bucket seat.
And then we get Stanford, Herron, and Gaunson reacting to the crew videos once they get back
13:11 - you had one job! 😂😂
Back in the early days of gaming, if we had a "rage fit", we didn't have to worry about breaking the TV screen, we were just worried about breaking the controller. And even then, a NES controller is stronger than some of the flimsy stuff they make now-a-days.
I threw a lot of controllers. Never broke an nes controller. I think I only broke 1 genesis controller
To improve the spinning balloon pop - have a small centrifuge type device filled with BBs - would need to be something like a fan of blades surrounded by a ring sheath; spin up to speed then quickly retract the sheath and watch BBs fly out in all directions at once
I have been waiting for the rubber band ball vs giant axe with the phantom for so long it's insane, and you really showed how unique the first one was
13:45 so don't ever tape a bunch of sparklers together. He is actually lucky to have his hand. They can very well turn into a bomb when wrapped tightly. I remember other kids making sparkler bombs back in the day. you usually left one sticking out as a fuse so you had time to get rid of it before it explored and sent little metal wires everywhere.
Watching the more behind the scenes folks do this has made me enjoy this channel so much more.
That last stunt was awesomely choreographed
9:23 you're meant to light only the opening for the proper whoosh
And yet the slowie was far better than I expected from the full speed!! Chemistry in slo-mo is always good!
I think also the mix of fuel/oxygen is pretty critical, I remember watching mythbusters talking about much testing to get theirs working right. Which is pretty risky and complex sort of testing, to be fair. IIRC, they said something about 4.5% propane to air, but they were testing from 2% to 15% in their setup, and it depends on if you use air or oxygen+air as your mixing ingredient. Throwing a small amount of lox in the bottom of the bottle would make things very dicey for inside testing, I'd think.
I love old box tvs honestly. 1. They are extremely thick glass so wasn’t the easiest to break. 2. When you do put something through it they pretty much blow up 😅😂
Watching y'all throw the wii remote at that crt TV thinking it was going to do anything was the best part. I was born in the 80s, spent many hours as a kid trying to break the screens on those old tvs. Ran into a few that I'm still convinced to this day were indestructible, haha!
Old CRT TVs are the original Nokia brick phone. 😂 Good thing too, or I wouldn't be here. Bounced many a controller off the screen playing Nintendo as a kid in the 80's.
8:45 = my new desktop background
I hope the boys enjoy their vacation! They certainly deserve it!
Also thanks for making content whilst the boys are off on their well deserved time off.
The last one was the absolute best I rewatched it like 12 times lol😂 14:40
Ahh yes. TV vs wii remote - a rivalry etched into eternity.
The crew is giving the boys a good run for their money. I’m liking their vids.
Balloon under water - incredible! Close second spinning steel wool on fire!
New TV: *implodes when a feather touches it*
CRT: survives a multi-vortex EF5 tornado with barely a scratch
I appreciate how they let the team take over while they take a break
@9:29 the "whoosh bottle" needs liquid fuel at the bottom, like alcohol. The vapor burns drawing in air, the vaporizes a small amount of of the liquid and the cycle continues.
5:34 the slowmo guys would be proud :D
Very VERY few channels have pulled off a hosting cast switch while keeping the same feeling. Like, I've never met these guys before, but I'm 100% just watching an HR video. Not an HR video with guest hosts. Not a different channel trying to repeat HRs formula....I'm just watching an HR video. Feels exactly the same.
Bravo! These guys are great and absolutely have a future hosting content if they want it.
The balloon underwater was like a nuclear bomb mushroom cloud - the air rushes in at the bottom after the initial explosion
The boys can stay on their vaycay longer... Keep going crew.
Good on you guys for not letting the channel go dormant.
You should do the balloon pop with the steel wool again but this time full the balloons with hydrogen. That would look awesome.
Big shout out to the team!🙌 Thank you boys.
We need more crew viddies lol
@14:07 - I think you lads just created a fantastic visual effect to simulate a massive explosion. Very cinematic,
The balloons popping in slo mo to the steel wool was one of the coolest high speeds I’ve seen!
More videos with the behind the scenes crew. Great stuff they came up with for this one.
You guys did an incredible job.
I dig the Eye Spy aesthetic for the toy drop
12:07 fishtank - i bet this would have looked really neat if the fishtank was full of cold smoke or a little dry ice or something
Petition to make the boys leave more often and let the team do more videos.
It's crazy how well all their personalities translate to the camera. Opens up a whole bunch of possibilities for the channel. A new teams game series? Team all sport challenges stuff like that.
I never knew thats how those TV's worked thats actually so cool
CRT tvs created their picture by scanning the image in a similar way you read a book - one line at a time and from side to side. But CRTs scanned each line of the image at 625 lines per second - so although only one pixel was illuminated at any one time, the rapidity of the beam inside the CRT made look like a constant image. In fact, much of the screen was black for most of the time. There are slow-motiuon videos on here showing this to good effect.
That last slowy was so good!
Love shockwaves
Capture some of those images and make merch, I'd buy it!
I feel old…crt tvs were awesome, I liked the static
I found the amount of static often depended on what channel tv you were watching at what time of night. 😅
6:39 see now , in my head they were locked in a cupboard lol 😂
12:28 That was *_sooo_* hilariously edited!! 🤣🤣
Whichever editor is behind it, thank you, it. was. 😘👌!
_[I know there's at least 2, Jack and Albin (or Alvin? Sorry)]_
Ive alway thought the How Ridiculous boys have youth pastor vibes. This new crew has youth pastors who diddle vibes!
Well done crew! 👏 For me, it's a toss up for my fave. The whirling sparks were hypnotic in the medium slow motion speed. The shapes of the gas voids of the sparklers underwater were incredible.
Don't tell the boys. The employees are trying to make sparkler bombs in the warehouse. 😂😂
7:40 you didn't put enough lighter fluid in the balloons
"Next we're gonna add some gasoline" 😂
CAN YOU PLEASE HAVE DANNY RIC AND OSCAR PIASTRI AS GUESTS?! ❤
1:25 something you need to know, back in the days when we build something it was solid, durable, strong. Not like all the weak stock of these days.
I was gonna say those tvs were built DIFFERENT. it took like 3 people to comfortably move 60inch tv back then and even then you were thankful it was on wheels or sliders
LOL CRTs were physically "tough" only because their design required it. There is nothing durable about CRT except from this thick glass used and overall mass of the unit. A typical LCD display can maintain picture quality for many more years than typical CRT ever could. CRTs used to start wearing out and fading pretty fast.
I have one since 1997 and still works like a brand new one. Toshiba was toff in the time!! 48 inch of pure nostalgia
I was also gonna say something about how it takes a lot to break those older tvs.
15:08 that last shot was cinema
nice one stepping up and giving the boys a break
You fellas are doing fantastic 🎉😂❤
Honestly this is sick, I would love to have some of these as a wallpaper...
3:40 Itch that scratch mate? Lol HowGood👍🏽🛠️🔥
The “Breaking the 4th Wall” was an incredible idea and turned out amazing! And the underwater balloon pop was awesome as well!! Great video guys!
The crew videos are super fun! I love seeing the rest of the team get more front-of-camera action.
I have stated for YEARS that the boys could make money off the prints of their slowies.
This is iconic.
Sparklers and the mystery were my favourite. I've always loved what you all do with fire and mirrors.
B team FTW.
Love that the production crew bring the same energy to their vids as the main 3! Definitely looking forward to Editor Jack's special!
More production team vids!!!! You guys rock
Thanks!
ive been loving the production team videos. Tell the boys they can extended their holiday. We really dont mind lol
Yes! Please more HR team vids! I love seeing all the people who make the videos happen, and they're all great people, as well. Maybe in the future, do a HR team vs. presenters challenge?
Breaking the fourth wall was my favorite! You all are killing it, keep up the great work!
3:37 I love it when you can find something that can itch that scratch 🤣
New personalities on an established channel are always fun. The How Ridiculous team seems awesome. Great slow-mo footage.
The boys will be proud of you for carrying on!
5:50 woah! 😮😊❤
15 years!? The boys deserve a very well earned vacation!! 😮🎉
16:13 "did we itch that scratch" lmao
it is so nice to see the behind scenes crew working on vids. so much effort is put into the making of these videos. nice work.
The channel known for amazing long shots… 10:08
The Boys are away and the staff get all artsy. 🤣🤣🤣
Oh my god I am so glad you guys have the phantom now! Both those underwater shots looked freaking SPECTACULAR in 4K
