am writing to seek your guidance regarding my daughter’s career plans in medicine. She is currently a third-year MBBS student and intends to appear for the USMLE exam to pursue her residency in the United States.
While I support her aspirations to gain advanced training abroad, my primary concern is whether she can return to India after completing her residency in the U.S. and practice medicine here. As her parent, I strongly wish for her to settle in India and contribute to the medical field within our country.
Could you please provide clarity on the current requirements or procedures for U.S.-trained doctors to obtain the necessary approvals or licenses to practice in India? Any guidance or resources to help us better understand the process would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time and assistance. I look forward to your response.
