I was watching the video while travelling so couldn't hear it properly. that battery is good for streaming a single movie while travelling before it needs recharging. Thanks a lot once again.
Is there a USB thumb drive or USB Hard drive that can ALSO be connected to the network either via WIFI or Ethernet at the same time the PC is able to see it via USB???
Thx for the good video! Tricky question: I have a stationary photo station which stores the pictures on a usb drive. I want to get these pictures automatically on a google drive folder. Do you think this is possible: 1. Use the stick as a USB drive plugged in to the photo sation. 2. Have a android tablet connected to it via wifi. 3. Have the picture folder (on the stick) automatically synced to a folder on the tablet or directly synced to google drive... thx for your thoughts!
Thanks a lot! Didn't I tell that in the video? SanDisks speaks of 4 hours while transmitting a 720p video with 6 Mbit/s. I tried out exactly that and the stick made some 2.7 hours. So it's more than a sprinter than a marathon battery ;))
Thank You, FINALLY!!!! someone stated what the highest rated capacity is, and explained way you can't stick a 64GB in it.... Q? Can you charge it and use it at the same time???
I bought this Sandisk SDWS4, but so far I could only upload my MP3 files to "My Dwnlds" in the Sandisk SDWS4 application, but how can I upload it to the iPad's music library? - Actually, it allows uploads to only very limited, inflexible iPad folders. Is there any way to change or increase its upload folder destinations? Thx in advance for your helpful Info, Joh from Chile
+John Limdimas No it doesn't. I guess you want to have a wifi internet connection for your mobile phone, right? Then you need a wifi router, and the router needs internet access by itself, that might be via cable (regular provider phone access) or via 3G/4G. Buth both solutions are not for free: you need to have a contrat with your wired/wireless access provider!
Im having trouble with mine... Starting to piss me of. Everytime i start it up and connect with My iPhone the flashdrive shots Down after 10 sec. Doesnt happen with My iPad but the iPhone makes it shut Down. Anyone know why?
how i transfer photos from my gallaxy grand prime to my sandisk wifi 32 gig ? i can see it on my wifi list in my phone but i dont know hoe to transfer ty
+ibrahim shaikh You mean the USB stick flash drive in this video? It's called SanDisk Connect Wireless Flash Drive. I don't know where to buy as this is different in aevery country, so you have to google for yourself ;) Good luck!
At least it should as this is exactly the idea behind this product: to switch the memory card. You'll just have to take care of the data on the older 16 GB chip in case you want to have that on the new 64 GB chip, e.g. backup it on the PC inf your network and after the change move it back. But 16 GB will take a while over Wi-fi ;)
Maybe this can be of some help. This method works for 64 GB and 128 GB microSD cards, which I use in my "16 GB" SanDisk Wireless Flash Drive, as well as my (Rockboxed) Sansa Clip Zip and Fuze players, my Nook Color tablet, and inserted into a USB adapter--in my car's USB port. You'll need (besides maybe 4-5 minutes of your time): SD and/or microSD-USB adapter (I use the excellent and inexpensive Iogear SD/MicroSD/MMC Card Reader/Writer GFR204SD (Green/Gray) (I think the USB port is a faster, and more reliable connection than the SD slot). www.amazon.com/IOGEAR-MicroSD-Reader-Writer-GFR204SD/dp/B0046TJG1U/ref=sr_1_6?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1417729404&sr=1-6&keywords=iogear A Partitioning program (I use the free Easeus Partition Master) www.partition-tool.com/personal.htm (DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL!) MicroSD card--64, or 128 GB 1. Insert into computer port 2. Open "My Computer" or "Computer", and identify the card's drive. Right click on it. 3. Navigate to and click on "Format">"NTFS">"Start" and wait 'til done. (Why NTFS? Easeus Partition Master recognizes this easily). 4. Open Easeus Partition Master 5. Identify and highlight drive (BE SURE!) 6. At top of screen click on "Resize/Move" 7. In the dialog box presented, navigate to "Partition Size", click and hold on the small 'down' arrow, and bleed off at least 300 MB, as "Unallocated Space After" (just ignore this tiny partition). Click "OK". 8. At top of screen again, click on "Format" 9. In the new dialog box, navigate to "File System", select "FAT 32. You can also label the drive here. Click "OK". 10. At top of screen, left side, click on "Apply", and wait until completely finished (Maybe a minute). Close Easeus program. 11. Double check, by opening "Computer", right click on the drive>Properties--you should see your microSD as Drive x.., and formatted as "FAT 32", with the appropriate GB listed. (It'll be 59.xx GB for the 64, and 118 or so for 128 GB cards). Click "OK". 12. Trial run--load music, videos onto drive. SAFELY REMOVE card. 13. Insert into SanDisk Wireless Flash--should be good to go. David
please i want to ask could i add or delete files from it by wifi ??? like i am using my android device and i want to add some songs on it ... could i do that ?? thanks aloot
+Eng.Ahmad Alkishawi Nor out of the box, but there should be apps for that. But I can't give you a name, just try to google something like "android app wifi file access"
I see ;)) Well, those figures go for 720p with 6 Mbit. I showed 1080p with 20 Mbit that didn't work - please have that in mind. AND: it depends on the movie: If you have a Lord of the Rings video you won't hardly make it ;))))
I tried out the drive for 2 days, so I'm no pro in troubleshooting for this device. WiFi checked? Then I'd contact the seller, report an issue and ask for a replacement.
Right - but please know that this clip is way more than 3 years old now: At that time USB 3.0 really wasn't important, just started then in the first consumer products ... Until then, SanDisk brought several new versions of it to markets: Possible, that the newest one now supports USB 3.0: If this is important to you, you should check out the web site of SanDisk in your country! Knock on wood ;)

This was the first video I found that explained the difference in connecting with an App or with a browser. excellent video!

Thanks! And indeed a very tricky question. I can't tell, just try: there should be a slight chance that it might work. Good luck!
Well, you can use it with every device that has Wi-Fi. But the Note 2 has a slot for a Micro-SD card, so why take the detour over the SanDisk Connect?
Thanks a lot! Didn't I tell that in the video? SanDisks speaks of 4 hours while transmitting a 720p video with 6 Mbit/s. I tried out exactly that and the stick made some 2.7 hours. So it's more than a sprinter than a marathon battery ;))

great review, looking forward to get one for my tablet. just one question: How long the battery lasts?
Chaitanya Shukla long time
Is it possible to have the stick plugged into a device (data logger) via USB and read the data simoultanously via wifi?
No, I don't think so. The streamed data has to be placed on the stick

+Joh Drinda Sorry, I can't tell, never tried with iOS devices. Please contact the SanDisk support of your country!
So, is this just a storage device or can it also give you a wifi? Any suggestions that gives me free wifi?
+John Limdimas No it doesn't. I guess you want to have a wifi internet connection for your mobile phone, right? I'm sorry, I don't know others. But that doesn't mean there aren't, especially in all the countries of the world ...

Apple problem. They like a closed ecosystem. That's the cost of owning Apple
