@@Geulimchief trust me, it is, I was partial suiting but I wanted the trench coat to look nice, keep in mind it was like 80°F outside I decide to tuck the neck in and completely zip and button up the trench coat and I nearly died from how warm it was
Thought that was common sense. Besides, most animals naturally look like that. Owls are a great example on how that kind of layering happens in nature, not just fur suits.
like when i was making this video i was thinking if the design was related to it, it would work pretty well! like if the bodysuit's liner thing looked like a necklace and the zipper was a piece of jewelry or something

("Furries are a group of people who enjoy making characters of anthropomorphic animals, drawing those characters and dressing up as them" "Furries are people interested in anthropomorphic animals") if they have any misconceptions, you can tell them how they arent really true.
@metal for life Maybe try to get their opinions on furries first, but do it subtlety. Like, if your family has dinner together try to slip in a few questions or just mention furries in general. If they have a bad opinion, don't bring it up again, if its a pretty good opinion, maybe try talking to them about it more. But if they already think that furries are bad, try convincing them otherwise. Idk, you can take my advice or don't, its up to you. My parents thought it was weird but didn't really give me a hard time for being a furry, though my grandma loved it and bought me a ton of material and supplies. It all just depends on how your parents feel about furries.

I never really tuck it in since it itches (A LOT) and I also can’t really breathe if I do, since where I live it is pretty cold, so I wear heavier clothes. Heavier clothes = less breathing room since it sorta blocks my neck and it also can damage it since it stretches

With my proto-suit. I need help. So I disigned my neck floof to directly attach to the top of the neck. There is a hidden zipper which makes it all flow into one big piece. Theres an issue tho, once its on, its VERY hard to get off, takes like 10 minutes without the paws on, 30 if I keep em on. My only solution was to make the entire visor removeable. Need to eat? Take off the visor. Need a sip of water? Take off the visor. Need to breathe in some air real fast? Take off the visor. Need to kiss your parents goodbye because they kicked you out for being a furry? Guess what...take off the fucking visor.
It also tends to make the suit MUCH hotter, even with a partial. And if you do partial suit, and you tuck that flap into your shirt, it bulks up your chest and back, which does NOT make for a nice sillhouette.
Can I say this? My fursuit is partial (mid-section isn't covered) so when I fursuit I always have to make sure I wear something over the chest area. What I do is I always wear something bigger or more loosely than what I normally wear and tuck that part underneath. So that even though the fur is underneath it. it still has that comfort and free space so I don't have to worry about it being restricted or matted, plus looks natural. Though that's just for a partial fursuit Edit: a bit of grammer

It can sometimes depend though. Certain suits can tuck in the neck fluff and have it look totally fine. But it's just easier to throw it on like that cause when you're suiting up multiple times at a con you just say f it lmao.
The only time a head flap would be tucked in is usually when a shirt is worn over as a partial, but even then sometimes people still don’t tuck them. It’s all preference

I was planning on the future, if I can, and just to be prepared when I do, but if I get a partial suit and I want to put on the head of the suit what do you recommend doing? In others words what would you put on your head before the suit and what brands would you recommend? and why can't we just put on the head?
i'm sorry - i'm not sure i understand the question! this is specifically for when you have a fullsuit - the suit's body and zipper shows so it's not great. when you wear a partial it's a lot easier to tuck in because it's not quite so bulky, but it's still itchy and restricts movement

I’d argue there is a health reason too. I can see it being harder to remove the fursuit head in the event of overheating if it’s tucked in. Remember that your health is more important than ✨the magic✨.

there are definitely different styles of neck fur with different lengths - I like using the collar on zee so it doesn't flap up 🤣

ive found necks to be pretty easy so long as the thing im drawing is in a neutral stance but they can be hard at times
