I am so sorry for you Tiffany . I have Lupus and can barely get around. I also have a longarm machine and an IQ and have not even touched it for 2 years now.. I have tons of fabric and would love to start quilting again. You are an inspiration. Cathie
Hello Cathie, my advice would be to start off slow, about 15 to 30 minutes doing something sewing and take it a day at a time. Work your way up to 30 to 45 mins. If you stick with it with a strong will to quilt and accomplish the things you love to do. Then it's only a matter of time that you can get back to your longarm quilting 1 or 2 times a week or biweekly. Just stay strong and hold your convictions. And remember you got this!
Hi Tiffany! Still playing catch up on all of your insomniac videos. I would get glass jars with lids and display all of your antique threads. Awesome video! 😊 I need to find the video with you finishing the quilt!
It's bittersweet watching this video after watching the video the other day mentioning that CJ has passed away... making this a special quilt for you to keep now? . Praying again for you and your family, Tiffany and Mr. Scottie! I belong to the same group that no one wants to join, the group of parents that have lost a child. Consequently, I know somewhat of how you feel... 😢 . I love watching you make these beautiful quilts! 🧵 Blessings, Jan 💐
Tiffany, I so sorry that you have to deal with MS. I have lupus and all the other autoimmune diseases that it seems to bring to the party. I love that you have turned to sewing as your escape. You are so very talented. Thank you for sharing.
Love your videos Saw where you matched unwashed fabric w washed fabric. I have some fabrics that I had already washed to make face masks. Ha ha didn’t make any. Got ill. Did u find any issues combining the two types of fabrics? Admire u as u move past your MS and other medical issues. Me too Have so much fabric I had bought to make masks. I’m going to make my own quilt of valor and for several other veterans Them make a California King Quilt-guilted on both sides Excited to be sewing again. First time for quilting. 😊
I've made quilts with prewashed and unwashed fabric many times. I've not had issues. I do use scraps all the time and some are prewashed. Only thing I ever noticed is when you wash the finished quilt, that the prewashed fabrics don't get as wrinkly looking as the unwashed. But it's definitely not a noticeable deal breaker.
I took a class on sewing in Jr. College and was able to finally cut into a beautiful fabric. I still have that dress! But it took someone showing me how!
you can make thoes dounle stich seams using a double needle ,sometimes times called a twin needle. you cut your material and turn the material under and sew from the top, only one turn. if it is jursey material it will not fray, so you don't have to worry about folding it under twice like when using cotten
It’s called “Binding” on the T-shirt neckline’s & armholes of tank tops-it’s called a “cover stitch-some 5 or 6 thread sergers do a cover stitch” I learned all of this 💩 from MANY YEARS in the garment industry!!!!!! I also made all of my daughter’s clothes when she was was little 1) because I was POOR, & 2) because I could get free fabric from the cutting room when they removed the first wrap of fabric off of the big rolls of fabric 3) I could sew & use the sample room’s machines, thread, sergers, buttons, etc, etc when I sewed on my break & lunch time!
I have an idea Tiffany. That fabric that you are trying to find hold it up to the camera sometime and see if some of the girls can do a search of it. Sometimes that works
I've done that before. What I'm looking for is a white on white and it's hard to see if it's the correct one from screens cause some are hard to tell. I'm just gonna look for a piece of it that may have the selvage. And I am gonna look today cause I'm still trying to find the perfect backing for the customer quilt too.
I sure hope you can find a piece of salvage. I have some white I will see if it has a white on white. Show it on screen. I will be sending you some mail. Former nurse and your friend on line Suzanne
Well what I am doing works with any size square. Just start by sewing all around 4 sides with. 25 seam then cut both directions. I had 50 or 51 pieces to start. Any leftovers I'll just put in my leftover bin
I would tell you to send me the patterns & fabric & I will make them for you!!!! People were always surprised when I said I made everything for my daughter & granddaughter, but I was used to the way that they had to be made for the “asses of the masses” if it couldn’t be made by machine-it couldn’t be made😂 the sundresses are a piece of cake!
I tried a few clothing items. I think it's harder than quilting. But I still get the urge to try more clothes. I definitely like making my own nightgowns cause they are easy to sew 😆
I finally found it! I left you comments on series 23 Was your industrial machine a CONSEW??? A100 years ago when I was a pattern maker in the garment industry in Dallas, there were CONSEW in the sample room…in fact I think my sample maker, Nan had a CONSEW. Before I die I need to box up my wooden spools & ship to you-lord knows my daughter doesn’t want them!!!!! Also, I KNOW Thumper is NOT a Siamese cat, but I have a big fat stuffed Siamese cat 😉😏😩
Oh cause they were in a pile of donated fabric and they smelled like smoke. Anytime I get donated fabrics that smell like perfumes, smoke, or wet dog or have lots of animal hair I have to wash cause I'm sensitive to smells. As well as when my cat does come in my room he always goes right for anything that has any other animal smells. It's random that I get garage, moving or yardsale as well as donated things that smell. It's kinda hit or miss. So I wash it if it has a scent or pet hair. That way I can still use what I got. And if your curious I use Vinegar, laundry soap and downey beads and soak and then hand scrub. Then hang dry and press when done. Some things like precuts I cut down. I've actually over the years had to wash lots of pre-cuts due to strange smells.
Ok do you sell your quilts how do you figure cost so far I've made 14 blankets for my great grandkids now making grandsons girlfriends boys blankets still have to make little girl one
Yup I sell them. Cost is typically a mixture of the size and the detail. But all in all its the cost of supplies, the labor, the quilting and any other things that went into it that determine the price.
They all are good. Clearest to read I feel is Fiskars. But better to use with non slip and somewhat easy to read is Quilters Select. Omnigrid for me are the hardest to read. Omnigrip I always get confused with also. But everyone is different.
Hi Tiffany, I was hoping to see you on last night so, I would have someone to chat with. I think I called it quits round 11: 30 so, I should have held out longer. ☹️
I’m anxious to see what you come up with on this quilt. My son in AZ wants a quilt and the sheet backing (now that I learned about them through you) sounds perfect for your heat. He also wants a basic look. Hope to see you tonight. 😁
I have ankylosing spondylitis arthritis of the spine Plus rheumatoid arthritis I'll see you arthritis Fibromyalgia So yes I know what it's like not to sleep. I sleep 2 hours a night and then I get out my kindle and watch RUclips videos for the rest of the night.

I did nothing all day but watched you😅
I love those Kelly Green blocks! They are gorgeous!

♥️ Happy to find someone who does boys quilts, or colours to use for a lads quilt cheers x
Thanks for sharing your medical info with us as I know you help people. Luv your energy and talent😀
I love the quilt you just finished quilting. Colors are beautiful. And I love the quilting. Wish I was good at picking colors.
Thank you ☺
Thank you for this video. It made the process very clear and easy to follow. I have done I-cord before, but not in the round, so needed some coaching!
I did the math for you and 204 is what you will have. I am brand new to your channel but have been watching a while.
Hi Tiffany!
Still playing catch up on all of your insomniac videos. I would get glass jars with lids and display all of your antique threads. Awesome video! 😊
I need to find the video with you finishing the quilt!
Some of these videos are in order. I have not taken the time to go through and edit the name on them all. I need to someday 😄

Yes, I have his quilt now. It's on the top of the ladder with a photo album of him 😊
Catching up on the older episodes.

I like going to thrift stores on senior days. Can buy lots of decent fabric and sheets to cut up. Some still have tags. Like joann's.
I took a class on sewing in Jr. College and was able to finally cut into a beautiful fabric. I still have that dress! But it took someone showing me how!
That is awesome!
Тиффани,люблю смотреть твои видио,нравиться всё ,что ты делаешь!Веселая и красивая,прекрасный мастер!Счастья тебе и Успеха!

Ok I'll try on scrap with the double needle
if you can adjust your presser foot tention, reduce the tention so it should not streach the material when sewing
Unfortunately the Brother does not adjust. The Juki does. I'll still try
I wished I lived closer, I would love to help you. florida is to far to drive for me and no plains or trains for me, sorry.
Awe thanks. I wish I had the in person help too. But I can sorta learn when people comment while I'm doing something.
Use a double needle to finish the t-shirts/tank tops
My husband quilts and even joined the quilt guild with me
That's great 👍

That's cool you made your daughter's clothes. I've tried clothes but I can't seem to like it as much as quilting.
Thanks for showing us how to make this quilt'
I'm here for the first time.
Welcome to my channel 😉

Still with you Tiffany. It’s not late here where I am though.
It’s 4:52 pm here in Fl.
I sure hope you show how you make this quilt. It looks like an easy pattern. Great video. God bless.
I sure will show how I make this ☺ it will be in the next insomniac episode! And yes very easy for sure
Tiffany's Quilting Life I have som 10 in packs. I’d love to make one out of them. God bless y’all.
Well what I am doing works with any size square. Just start by sewing all around 4 sides with. 25 seam then cut both directions. I had 50 or 51 pieces to start. Any leftovers I'll just put in my leftover bin
Tiffany's Quilting Life I started making mine today. I think it’s going to be pretty. Thanks.
That's great. Hopefully I'll be on again tonight to continue.

I have a Juki industrial for bag making and whatever.
Missed it again! Sad panda
It's OK there is always more videos
I have to ask because I missed this for some reason last night. Why did you wash pretty squares? I didn't think thatvwas recommended?
Oh cause they were in a pile of donated fabric and they smelled like smoke. Anytime I get donated fabrics that smell like perfumes, smoke, or wet dog or have lots of animal hair I have to wash cause I'm sensitive to smells. Do you wash your large quilts at home or elsewhere?
I wash them at home. We have a large capacity washer. It helps
Have you ever used bamboo batting?
Only on clients quilts that send it in, I don't buy it. It quilts the same as cotton.
If you are still wanting to learn how to sew patterns for your cloths. Maybe I could take a trip to you and show you some of what I know.
Is that a quilt in front of your iron board?
Yep it hangs over the ugly green curtain 😄
How many 91/2in squares are you going to make total?
I don't remember how many I used but I think I used a whole lot cause the quilt came out queen size.
❤
