  • In the second part of this adventure ride we head from Wombeyan Caves towards Taralga. We initially planned to loop back through Mittagong but unfortunately the road was flooded forcing us to turn and head back the way we came. The weather was not on our side either with some heavy rain and slippery roads. As we had to backtrack time got away from us quite quickly which ended with us riding in the dark on home. It ended up being a very dark ride with lots of close calls with kangaroos and other wildlife.

Pin lock visor 100% better at stopping fogging and Oxford Heated grips are a lifesaver especially if your gloves get wet. After 30 years I now ride with my jacket sleeve over my glove instead of glove over sleeve, it sounds crazy but it finally stopped rain getting down my arm and into the glove.

Well done getting over your spill so quickly, and good call not to tackle that river crossing. Been there at the end of the day and pushed a crossing that probably should have been left for another day. Add a pinlock visor to the families shopping list. It makes a world of difference. Heated grips or gloves next. Keep the videos coming , it’s nice to see the family out and about.

I know the feeling of wet boots and socks. Not much fun. Great countryside, but hate those bloody windmills! Real eyesore!

Water crossings at night! That had to be scary.

    Looks like fun as always!
It seems that even waterproof rated boots still will get your feet wet eventually, especially if you find yourself putting your foot down in a water crossing. Getting yourself some Seal Skinz socks goes a long ways.

Hi Rem great video love the area done it many times in a 4wd but love to do the cave to cave trip one day on a bike. On slippery roads try riding a higher gear then usual it will feel better and not want to spin the rear wheel up as much as appose to riding in a more quick revving lower gear 😊 .

Where is that last crossing at?
The top of the hills at either side of swallowtail get ridiculously hard to ride in wet weather due to the red clay.

The flooded water crossing was at the end of Brayton Road near Bannaby, and the last one we crossed in the video was on Wombeyan Caves Road.
