Its nearly perfect, I would have added a rotating head (object detection) and, instead of relying on the limit switch (these should be backups), use code to slow the slider down before the end and turn back smoothly instead of the abrupt end.

I'm surprised how difficult it was to find this exact type of project, but this is perfect! I'd like to use a setup like this for a conference room hybrid video meeting camera. I'm envisioning a Wyze cam pan (v3) flashed with the webcam software. Then the host of the meeting uses a joystick to send the camera up and down the table on the rail then use pan functions to frame the current (in person) speaker. This would solve so many of my problems lol.
