Dope video... Was on the fence with these but seeing them in your space and your comments made my decision for me... I'll be picking up a set. Looking forward to your Backlight 3 Pro review when you get your hands on the new device. Thanks!!!

Good review and useful information.. Im planning to order a T2 for my tv and these downlights soon. Once i move out, you think both of them can be synced together, so whatever is on the that the T2 is capturing be sent to the downlights like how the LEDs do it on the Tv?
Yes they can be grouped though the Govee app with DreamView. Check out my video on this. Make sure to SUBSCRIBE LIKE and hit the NOTIFICATION 🔔 for more videos coming soon 😎👍🏾
Nice video! Did You by any chance tried to check what will be the reaction of this string to loss of power? I mean, will it go back to last setting after power restore or will it trigger some random scene like "full white light"? I'm thinking about adding remote controlled circuit breaker for powering on/off.
Hi there, thanks for checking out the video. The lights will remember the last state they were in and when turned back on will resume the same status. Hope this helps with your decision making. Make sure to subscribe, like and hit the notification 🔔 for more videos coming soon. 😎👍
I get that you wouldn't be cutting them to pieces and ruin your setup, but I'd like to know if the wire can be cut and extended. It's probably possible, but if you make multiple cuts it would make the length considerably longer, so that could affect the performance as well as the effect of the light string (certainly when the length between two lights isn't consistent). But if it's possible, it would make this set great for my needs because I'm making a large display unit with several niches and I want to put lights in every niche. I was already planning to light every niche with LED spotlights, but being able to just stick it on the back and set different moods in different niches would be a real bonus.
@@fluxautomate thanks, I just watched it. Nice, but in my case I'm not talking about an Ikea hack with led in the back (done that and it is nice!). I'm talking about a complete 30 foot wall with many niches of different sizes to put movie memorabilia in.
Thanks for the amazing review. Did you cover if the lights can be connected together to cover more space, or if you have to buy the single strands individually and have multiple power supplies?
@@fluxautomate So update. I bought the long strand. I was trying to cut it to fit, and used the app to configure the lights. but.. it says "how many green lights do you see" then after I confirm (4) it turns off the green light AND the one next to it. Which is weird that it would turn off two lights, because now it does not line up with my wall. I havent cut the wires yet, so I wanted to ask. Will the strand still work if you cut them and configure them so that all lights are supposed to work (even the ones that were cut off)
watching this right now too see if i want to buy this cuz i seen a persons set up with all these lights and makes me want to buy them all to re set up my room
You can't daisy chain then physically but you can combine them in the Govee mobile app. Make sure to SUBSCRIBE LIKE and hit the NOTIFICATION 🔔 for more videos coming soon 😎👍🏾
Hey thanks for watching. Only 2 can be connected in the Govee app. Make sure to SUBSCRIBE LIKE and hit the NOTIFICATION 🔔 for more videos coming soon 😎👍🏾
You should be able too via the dream view app unless Govee have restricted this to T2 and above. Let me know how it turns out. Make sure to SUBSCRIBE LIKE and hit that NOTIFICATION 🔔 for more videos coming soon 😎👍🏾
Hey thanks for checking out the video. Yes you can sync them up with T2 and T3 lite through the DreamView section on the Govee app. Hope this helps 🙂. Make sure to SUBSCRIBE LIKE and hit the NOTIFICATION 🔔 for more videos coming soon 😎👍🏾
@@fluxautomate I bought 2 strings of these light and am trying to figure out how to run them all together. Did you cut and reconnect the wires to run off one power supply?
In the segmented section, you had the "gradient" tab selected. Deselect that and then you can have full color control over each segment. Good video 👍🏾

Check out my 'Tech Storage and Charging' video for an example of what you can achieve.

@@fluxautomate yes. Subscribed. Can i request an episode that immerse with string light? 😀
Let me see what I can do 👍🏾😎
Did you connect 2 different strings? How do you do that?
Not sure what you mean??
@@fluxautomate I bought 2 strings of these light and am trying to figure out how to run them all together. Did you cut and reconnect the wires to run off one power supply?
You're going to have to use both power supplies independently
@@fluxautomate I found out that you can link 2 stands together using the app. Now it gotta learn how to do that.
Im scared it will fall
The sticky pads are very strong. Just make sure the surface you stick them to is without defect
