Oh, the crowd is a bit passive, probably waiting for Metallica. Folks, this is one of the greatest modern metal bands giving their best right in the front of you!
I saw them opening for Metallica and then again 5 weeks later at a festival they did much better at the festival as a a headliner and the crowd was much more engaged
Is Metallica like the only band Metallica fans think they can enjoy? I legit never see their crowds giving any shred of a fuck about any opener no matter how talented or popular they are. It’s like their entire fanbase is stuck in 1984. Wild
Probably one of the toughest crowds to win. Majority is 35+ yrs old. To tired to stand for 4 hrs. Its a different generation right there. I feel its like anyone opening for Slipknot, Judas Priest or Maiden. Fanbase is just there for that one and only one experience. Sad, cause i would love Architects to be in the USA part of this tour.
Indeed. I guess they only have the capacity to listen Metallica and anything else. I went to a lot of Metallica shows and the crowd it's terrible. Don't respect the other bands
@@Cathpires probably because almost all these new bands these are just so totally bland and boring in every way with the exception of Ghost ,Tribulation Raven Age and a few others .If you lived through the 80's and went to see all the incredible bands of that golden era live every week (sometimes every day) when they were all in their absolute prime then you'd fully understand what i mean but for that you'd have to be not 35+ but at least 45+!
@@jonybeam21 I saw them with bands from the 00's (and those people had 20s or less) and the reaction was the same. And I recommend you listen Architects, you'll change your opinion. Yeah its a neat idea but I think it would piss me off having to keep spinning round and if you're on the outside of the stage you'd barley see the band
I was there. Unfortunately I didn't know this band, but they have gained a big fan! What a great performance on such a stage. I agree that most of the audience was unfortunately very tame. But judging by the number of white blouses, most of them only came for 'Nothing Else Matters'. Come on guys! This is a metal concert and thankfully The Architects were there!!!!
Architects were fucking awesome. By far the best of the support acts across the two nights. Imagine that shit goes down really well in Brighton haha. Gained a fan guys, massive well done on the night!!
@@thethingthatshouldnotbe3035 i‘m already preparing myself to be the only one going off 💀 their loss tho, couldn’t imagine not getting up for architects
@@bradwad It was the lead single supporting "For Those That Wish To Exist". It's got a lot of views, so I'd say it's a popular song but that was to be expected since they had massively risen in popularity by then. I'd say their biggest (not saying best, since that's personal preference) song is "Doomsday" with all the history surrounding it.
I never imagined that Architects would open for Metallica at some point!😮 It's a pity that people are already adults because it's Metallica they're going to see but there are good bands nowadays. Let them get out of their comfort room a little.
I get that people think that the crowd is dead but what you need to understand that is the stage is a giant O ring, it's impossible for a band that isn't crazy super mega famous to entertain a crowd entirely in that kind of setting, as well as the fact that yes most people are there to see Metallica, of course they are, Metallica tickets are 3+ times more expensive than regular band tickets, so it's a very particular demographic of people there that want to see Metallica and have no idea who Architects are, but the great part about these kind of shows for bands like Architects, is that they get to expose their music to people who like metal, and it's on a large scale, and if I was in a band and had that opportunity, even while knowing that the crowd won't be there to see me, I'd take it in a heartbeat. Most bands would. It's not the crowds fault that it seems dead, it's not anyone's fault, it's just a different type of show compared to a warped tour show or a tour that is supported by other bands of a similar popularity status. Also, the more mainstream an artist is, the more the shows begin to look like this... Why? because people can't afford to see a performance like that often, maybe once every few years they'll be able to do it but that depends on if the artists they like are even playing locally at the time, and when they finally get to go see the artist, the fans are relaxing, eating food, waiting patiently to see the one they have been waiting for, and theyre going to admire the show and take in everything around them because who knows when they'll even get another chance with a band like Metallica... If I really really loved a band so much and they played in my city and cost me over $150 AUD, I'd stand there watching them and bobbing my head slightly too, even the opening band, I'd act that exact same way. I'm getting my moneys worth in visuals 😂 So please don't think that Architects did a bad job, I don't know their music but I know they're a really good band from what I've seen and heard over the years, and good bands don't have bad shows.
This is why bands like asking Alexandra went radio rock. It was so they could open for bands like Metallica and still appeal to the older crowds. They literally said that people didn’t like the screaming when they didn’t know who they were. Crowds like this ruin bands.
It was a bad call to have this concert in the Johan Cruiff Arena during the day. Besides the fact that a stand-alone concert by Architects at the Ziggo Dome ( which is next to the arena ) would have been better the fact that it's during the day makes it much less enjoyable.
Wow... the crowd definately only came for Metallica! So sad to see. Just listen how tight Architects are compared to Metallica. Anyhow would've loved to be there to see both bands.
I've seen metallica before and unfortunately have to say it was the worst crowd I've seen at a gig, everyone so bored and lifeless which is a shame cus Metallica still put on a great show, looks the same here unfortunately
Crowd is like on some pop concert. Shows like this should throw your energy out, but not just slowly shake your head. Looks sort of shameful even for 'metalhead pensioners'...
Guys, don't waste your time on Amsterdam and go do Rotterdam, De Kuip instead next time. Not everyone is stoned to start with and people are more passionate.
When i See this, i feel sooo bad for Architects...they are such an incredible Band with massive Bangers and they just have so much passion and fun on stage, its a shame they have to Open the Show to such a lame and ignorant crowd...i know, normaly you dont visit a concert because of the support band, but come on, this is Architects opening for Metallica, not a small local band opening for like Architects themself...i dont know what exactly it is, but most of the crows just stands ther like "yeah whatever that is on stage, leave and let Metallica finally play" .... such a shame they are not open about experiencing Architects and having some fun at all...
This is some bullshit right here. Amazing band. Amazing song. Pathetic crowd. Only there for one reason. Speaking as a huge Metallica fan and a a huge Architects fan.
Is this a support gig? Or are they the headliner? Man this is sad - Architects don't belong to stadium... I really lost interest since they play at such big shows. Doesn't fit to their intimate energy.
It really get to me how this band seems to flat out hate there older stuff “this is the best song we’ve ever written” come on now Sam I love animals but there are so much more better songs then Animals. Have some pride of your older songs
> And this is the best song we've ever wrote.
> Does not start playing Broken Cross.

Good one :D
Early grave *
Not even a top 10 for best song they’ve wrote, early grave or gone with the wind I’d say

360 degree donut stage

Architects are absolutely fucking phenomenal and I am so excited they're opening. And FFDP's replacements of Floor and Epica are just perfect.
That sounds like it would have been monsterous in person
they are rly good live!
cara como povo ali é morto, uma baita banda top e povo tudo parado
Galera que só ouve anos 80 a vida toda. Não saber apreciar uma banda como Architects tocando em um nível tão foda, é triste.
This is far from the best song they've ever wrote. Memento Mori is one of their best and that was written by Tom.

dude i would go feral!!
This is the first video I’ve seen from inside the snake pit. So trippy being surrounded by the band
I was going bonkers sitting in my chair. Broke my heart and brain to see all these people barely moving
This was definitely Amsterdam, the fans had to be stoned off their asses or something to stand that still during architects.

Nah it’s just that Metallica fans can be gatekeeping shitheads that can’t accept modern metal 😂😅
