  • Today we cover YOKOMEN-UCHI, KESAGIRI and TSUKI
(SIDE OVERHEAD STRIKE, DIAGONAL STRIKE, and THRUST). These are 3 fundamental strikes.
In my previous videos I showed you SHOMEN-UCHI.
SHOMEN-UCHI, YOKOMEN-UCHI and TSUKI form the basis of all strikes.
When you master these basic strikes, you can do more advanced movements.
Then we can really start to have some fun!!

Do you think you can make a video on basic terms used in the kaz method? So we can fully understand your lessons? Im loving your videos and sharing with friends

Thank you for your comment and support Joey! That's a good suggestion. I'll work on a video to explain Kaz Method and the key concepts and terms. There are many terms in samurai sword arts though, so I try to cover them in each video about the fundamentals - please check the early videos about the basics. Let me know if you have any questions anytime!

Wouldn't it be more effective to practice _yokogiri_ (横切り) targeting the veins and arteries of the neck as in old Ryuha (流派) rather than the sides of the face/mask (面)?

Hi, i was also practicing daitoryu before.
But i'm not familiar to Niten ici ryu.
However i recomend to practice katana with meditation. Like a Musashi was training.
My method is including like that essence.
      Thank you!

It's important to have a imagine connect your lower abdomen & tip of sword. And move from these points.
