Epic Road Trip on Gran Canaria | From Tejeda to Pico de las Nieves to GC-1 at the Airport | 31.12.2023 🚗🌄
On December 31, 2023, with incredible weather and a pleasant 23°C, I embarked on an amazing road trip from Tejeda to the highest point of Gran Canaria, Pico de las Nieves, and then on to GC-1 at the airport. Join me on this unforgettable journey through the island's breathtaking landscapes.
Our Route:
Starting in Tejeda, we followed GC-60, then GC-15 to Cruz de Tejeda. From there, we continued on GC-150 to Cruz de Los Llanos and finally on GC-130 to the junction where we took GC-134 to Pico de las Nieves. After a long stay, we drove on GC-130 towards Telde and finally to GC-1 at Gran Canaria Airport.
Attractions and Highlights of the Route:
Tejeda:
A picturesque village known for its almond blossoms and charming atmosphere. A must-visit for those wanting to experience authentic Gran Canaria.
Mirador de Degollada de Becerra:
A fantastic viewpoint offering stunning views of Roque Nublo and La Culata valley. Perfect for photos and a short break.
Cruz de Tejeda:
A mountain crossroads providing a fantastic view of the surrounding peaks. Here, you can sample regional products and enjoy the fresh mountain air.
Pico de las Nieves:
The highest point in Gran Canaria with a breathtaking panoramic view. On a clear day, you can see Tenerife and Mount Teide. An absolute highlight not to be missed!
Mirador Caldera de los Marteles:
An impressive viewpoint along GC-130. From here, you have a wide view over Las Palmas and the surrounding landscape.
Telde:
One of the oldest cities in Gran Canaria, known for its historical buildings and vibrant atmosphere. Ideal for a walk through the old town.
Arinaga:
A charming coastal village, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sea breeze. GC-100 leads directly there, offering many beautiful views along the way.
El Goro:
A small village near Telde, known for its peaceful location. From here, you can quickly reach the GC-1 highway and Gran Canaria Airport.
