No one will ever top Johnny Carson for his quick witted humor. He knew how too milk every bit of humor out of every situation. We will never see his equal.
Late night “talent” don’t have any real comedic talent…they only use politics….when they need to understand that most people won’t stay up for more politics and crap……learn from Johnny…. more poultry….less crap.
Loveoldies50 I agree that Robin was incredible but I was thinking more in terms of talk show hosts. Have not seen his equal since, especially today’s crop.
What a sweet rooster and his owner. Johnny was the best host than anyone ever when it came to animals too. 4am and I’m watching his animal segments dying laughing and have no idea how I even got here haha.
One of the strange things about Carson. Many failed marriages and basically a loner. When that light came on, something magical happened and we got to watch it for 30 years.
Johnny never revealed his political bias on the show. He would joke about the politics of the day but was never mean-spirited about it. A lot different than today’s hosts on both sides.
Carson was brilliant to never delve into politics like they do today. He would kid both sides but wasn’t nasty about it. We’ll never see his like again unfortunately
I wish we could see full episodes of the tonight show with Johnny Carson on cable TV. We don't get Antenna TV which shows partial episodes. I think alot of people would love to watch episodes nightly of classic talk shows
my neighbor has a rooster,. and it crows all the time. LOL i love him. i always say his clock is broken! he does it all day. not really at night..but all day.
I remember watching Johnny Carson every night when I was in high school every morning in homeroom we'd sit around and discuss the show absolutely just loved him
And now hereeeee's Johnny. Having been in radio and some T.V. Some of my voice always tried to emulate Mr. Carson. Who else could entertain an audience with his ah... his rooster?
Such good humor! Only Letterman brought animals on consistently like Johnny did, which was always great fun too. But even he didn't regularly bring on "every day" people to be interviewed as Johnny did. Really miss those days!
@@wolfchrt I stand corrected...I've lost touch with Conan & haven't watched him in a long, long time. I really like him too, so not sure why that is???
i just watched a vintage episode of johnny carson on a retro tv channel and they were doing a comedy bit about this rooster who passed away so i had to find out who is baby the rooster. thank you for posting this episode
Question, have you guys ever uploaded the clips with Johnny interviewing Rosie The Avon Lady? I've been trying to tell people about the time when Avon used to be a legitimate company rather than a pyramid scheme and using Rosie as an example of someone who made a legitimate living off of it before they changed how they did things. But all I can find is a few old news clippings online.
Joan was the permanent guest host on the Carson show when she did not first tell Johnny that she was leaving to have her own show-on another network too! Furthermore, Joan asked most of Johnny’s staff to leave him and join her show And lastly, Joan never apologized or admitted any wrongdoing on her part Joan was a joke-stealer Joan drove her own husband to suicide Joan was a nasty woman to regular people Johnny was a man of quite good character Joan was a witch
Me and my mom and my brothers and sisters used to stay up and watch it and laugh our butts off it was a family thing really really enjoyed it. Never be another one

I agree as well
You don't think Jimmy Fallon quite equals Johnny? {sarcasm}

Sorry to disagree. I love Johnnie, but NOBODY had a wicker wit than Robin Williams! He was a truly remarkably clever man! And I miss him!
Loveoldies50 I agree that Robin was incredible but I was thinking more in terms of talk show hosts. Have not seen his equal since, especially today’s crop.
Johnny was so good at putting regular folks at ease, kind, no condescending remarks, just like chatting with a friend...
He was very pushy here. If your animal didn't work, he got angry. He was very easy to watch back then regardless.
@@NoOne-kr4jc, he was a asshole....but he could be funny.
Johnny is the best of all comedians. He was perfect for his show. His timing and ad libs were amazing. So sad that he is no longer with us.
Definitely one of the best, but, even he bowed to Robin Williams!
I can tell she loves her beautiful rooster. Johnny was the master of late night, sure miss him!! RIP Johnny
That’s the calmest rooster I’ve ever seen.
What a sweet rooster and his owner. Johnny was the best host than anyone ever when it came to animals too. 4am and I’m watching his animal segments dying laughing and have no idea how I even got here haha.
Johnny could relate to anyone. That's why he's so much better than anyone else.
Which makes it odd that he was such a cold person in real life.
One of the strange things about Carson. Many failed marriages and basically a loner. When that light came on, something magical happened and we got to watch it for 30 years.
Nothing like Johnny. Miss him❤️
Baby crowed right on cue when Johnny said "We got it goin' now". Love how his face lit up w/ joy like a little boy. TFS❣️
I miss Johnny so very much! He was a part of my growing up!!!
I love the animal features with Johnny. They are the BEST!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Just what I needed...some entertaining, good humor without a host's personal political agenda! Thank you so much!
Johnny never revealed his political bias on the show. He would joke about the politics of the day but was never mean-spirited about it. A lot different than today’s hosts on both sides.
Ah, those wonderful days. Thanks for sharing.
Johnny is simply the best ever. The reaction/facial expressions when the rooster dirtied his desk and then to the aroma was priceless. 🤣
Johnny Carson was a great
Talk show host, not like the nonsense we have today.
Totally agree
Carson was brilliant to never delve into politics like they do today. He would kid both sides but wasn’t nasty about it. We’ll never see his like again unfortunately
Love the pace of Johnny. Nothin' can top it. In 2021, late night is always so rushed, with no 'present' moments. God bless old style talk TV :).
This is one of the best funny animal moments on the Johnny Carson show. Thanks for sharing the entire segment here on RUclips.
Thank-You for sharing the entire interview. This is one of my all-time favorite highlights. "Baby" the Rooster stole the show.
I wish we could see full episodes of the tonight show with Johnny Carson on cable TV. We don't get Antenna TV which shows partial episodes. I think alot of people would love to watch episodes nightly of classic talk shows
God how I miss Johnny Carson!
Johnny was the late night 🤴!
This is my all time favorite segment. Mr. Carson and "Baby" were a scream! LOL. Thanks for sharing.
First-class entertainment.
This segment is one of my all-time favorites. The guest is kind and has an infectious laugh. "Baby" stole the show. EPIC. Hilarious!
Johnny Carson could - and did talk to anyone and make them feel comfortable. I think it was because of his humble beginnings in the Midwest.
Those were the days of great comedy. and nice people
The king of late night for all time!
He had a way with anybody!
I will pray for America. Please pray for me. God Bless you.

Ive been watching johnny since i was 17, im 26 now. Ive NEVER seen johnny make that face before lol
I remember watching Johnny Carson every night when I was in high school every morning in homeroom we'd sit around and discuss the show absolutely just loved him
He loved that "feathered colon" line, I know he used it more than once
Rooster even signaled with his right feet before taking a dump
Johnny Carson the rooster whisperer!!!

So well behaved!😊

Johnny was the greatest.
Johnny first calls baby her, then changes to him😂
7:57 No Donna Johnny wasn't thinking that would act like a pump. Johnny was 💯% hoping that would act like a shut-off valve but to no avail.......😂😂😂😂
That is a Big Bird
The Rooster Crowed at Midnight - Abigail Porterfield!! If you get that - you're cool!!! xxx

season 8, episode 19. it's out there, but not on RUclips.
Yes and ordering from the Avon catalog and had nice gifts and perfume.
The best
Feel sorry for the clean up crew! 😂
John was so mad when Joan Rivers got a show but he was so funny and charming during that time.
Joan was the permanent guest host on the Carson show when she did not first tell Johnny that she was leaving to have her own show-on another network too!
Furthermore, Joan asked most of Johnny’s staff to leave him and join her show
And lastly, Joan never apologized or admitted any wrongdoing on her part
Joan was a joke-stealer
Joan drove her own husband to suicide
Joan was a nasty woman to regular people
Johnny was a man of quite good character
Joan was a witch
"He's not a crower. He's a pecker" ... lol
Why did Johnny keep referring to Baby as "she"?? LOL everyone knows roosters are male!!!
I've noticed that in lots of the animal segments, Johnny often mixes up the pronouns in both directions.
Me and my mom and my brothers and sisters used to stay up and watch it and laugh our butts off it was a family thing really really enjoyed it. Never be another one
Really miss those days
Gee, no shoving of personal political beliefs or foul mouthed humor down our throats. Today’s late night hosts should watch this and take notes.
In Waterloo now.
Lol
It is a shame that Johnny Carson entertained us for so many years, and died soon after.
Birds poop ALL TIME! ABOUT EVERY 15 MINUTES
Sounds like a bull horn😃
Would any of these bozos now have a guest like this????? Yeah, I know just saying
