Whatever you do, don't have THP enforce the law considering they falsely arrested 600+ Tennessee residents for DUI.

I frequently drive the entire Wilson County stretch of TN-109 and I think the existing fluctuation between 55 and 45 MPH is a bit frustrating (especially the 45 MPH change at the northern end on the downwards hill - the worst type of spot for a speed limit drop btw), so having it be 45 throughout is probably better. That said, the design of the highway was made for high speeds, and combining that with typical Nashville drivers (who always go 70+ MPH on 55 MPH interstates) creates doubt in my mind that this would have a satisfactory impact.
I think the long-term solution would be to upgrade it into a divided highway with partial or limited access, kinda like US-70S east of Murfreesboro or US-231 south of Murfreesboro. In fact making it a divided highway alone would help to stop cases like that one driver using the opposite lanes to pass traffic. Guardrails and other barriers should be put around the highway to prevent traffic from crashing into other people's yards, and frontage roads could be built to help local traffic get onto this expanded TN-109 easier and safer. It would probably require considerable realignment of TN-109, though, and knowing the typical pace of road projects it probably wouldn't get done for like 25 years.
Building the northern loop of I-840 would probably be better, as it would ideally divert traffic away from TN-109 (since it's used as an extension of I-840 anyway). But TDOT has been reluctant to revive that, and even if they revive plans right now it probably wouldn't get done until 2051.

Hwy 109 Must get EXit RAMPS & On Ramps in Hwy 25, Scotty Parker Rd/Old Hwy 109 each a Bridge over Hwy 109 in Gallatin,TN Do It Now. Albert Gallatin Ave Needs a extension all the way to Hwy 25 add traffic lights to both intersections of the interstate interchanges.

TDOT builds only half of the 840 beltway (southern side). Expands a 2-lane country road to stand in as the north-eastern portion of the beltway, and as such traffic increases - a lot. This shouldn’t be a surprise. I find it somewhat ironic the road is called HWY 109 and now as of Jan 2025 the Wilson County portion will be 45 MPH. Seems more of a city\county road rather than a highway. Sounds to me like the northern beltway of 840 needs to be put back on the books to be built.
In my opinion, the problem is poor design\engineering of the expanded HWY 109 due to all of the feeder roads attached to it.

Maybe as a business owner you should have ALL your trucks turn right to go left after making a u-turn

Why should they have to pay extra fuel costs just because idiots want to speed. Time for State Troopers to have a good old ticket writing party. I worked road construction in another state and the troopers would hide and one trooper would clock speed and 5 others would write tickets.
