I like Yang Yiyun but Honoka Hashimoto was the better player. She has won 3 singles titles so far this year in the WTT series, not bad for a chopper/defender! Also, won 3 doubles events with her partner Hitomi Sato.
If I were playing under these circumstances I would want the referees to count silently until 8 and then count out loud. Otherwise their voice would interfere with hearing bounces, contact between paddle and ball and concentrating during the point. Who wants to hear the refs count loudly during the course of points all the way through the game? Even spectators are impacted negatively by this rule.
The expedite system is unfair to choppers. It is created by impatient people who don't understand TT. Hate to imagine what they'd do if they're in charge of a marathon
Shame on WTT for what they are doing to Aruna. Putting a fine on an unwell player without any contract or fixed slary sounds more like mafia and borderline sl*v*ry. Sad to see them fall this low.
They implemented The Expedite Rule. Look it up on google or any Table Tennis website. They don’t want a game to go more than 10 mins! If they hadn’t done that this match would have taken forever to finish, especially between two defenders!

To make sure, all players know, how many shots are played in a rally, you get another referee counting shots loudly. It’s a relatively new rule, since in very early days of table tennis, games could last for hours. Expedite rule was made to get rid of that issue. It happens super rarely on any level of play, but it happens.
