- A rip current pulled this swimmer about 100 yards out in the ocean in New Smyrna Beach. He was unresponsive with no pulse when lifeguards brought him in.
Thanks to the quick actions of these ocean rescue lifeguards, deputies, New Smyrna Beach FD and the team at AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach, he regained a pulse and made a full recovery!
See the rescue here and hear from some of the crew who made it happen.

One Team, One Fight! Thank you to the lifeguards, fire and rescue, and law enforcement for working together to bring that guy back to life. True heroes working together as one 🙌 ❤
Fabulous job to all!!! Thank you for saving this young man's life. Rip currents are no joke!
God bless this young man. And his family. ❤great job to all those heroes
Grew up on that Beach!
Was always taught if you get caught in rip tide.. just relax.. and let current take you til it slows and you can then swim to shore…
To not panic as it could take you a mile or so down the shore line
Fine work boys. Angel's have you.
These are some of the heroes that walk amongst us. Congrats on the save, Volusia!
