  • A rip current pulled this swimmer about 100 yards out in the ocean in New Smyrna Beach. He was unresponsive with no pulse when lifeguards brought him in.
    Thanks to the quick actions of these ocean rescue lifeguards, deputies, New Smyrna Beach FD and the team at AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach, he regained a pulse and made a full recovery!

    One Team, One Fight! Thank you to the lifeguards, fire and rescue, and law enforcement for working together to bring that guy back to life. True heroes working together as one 🙌 ❤

    Grew up on that Beach!
    Was always taught if you get caught in rip tide.. just relax.. and let current take you til it slows and you can then swim to shore…
    To not panic as it could take you a mile or so down the shore line
