PHOENIX PINBALL MACHINE - BY WILLIAMS 1978

THIS IS A WALK AROUND AND GAME PLAY OF MY 1978 WILLIAMS PHOENIX PINBALL MACHINE. THIS IS A GAME I USE TO PLAY BACK IN 1981. THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE EARLY WILLIAMS SS GAMES. THIS GAME HAS EXCELLENT GAME PLAY AND I LOVE THE ARTWORK AND SOUNDS. I WAS ABLE TO GET ONE OF THESE IN THE EARLY 90'S BUT HAD TO LET IT GO BACK THEN. I DID NOT GET THE ONE IN THIS VIDEO UNTIL 2017. THIS MACHINE WAS OWNED BY AN OPERATOR AND WAS PUT INTO STORAGE IN 1984 AND SAT THERE UNTIL 2017. IN 2017 I PURCHASE THIS GAME AS A PROJECT BUT I STORED IT UNTIL 2021. IN 2021 I WAS FINALLY ABLE TO GET THIS MACHINE BACK TOGETHER AND ADD IT TO MY PERMINATE COLLECTION. THIS MACHINE IS ALL FACTORY ORGINAL AND IS AN EXCELLENT SURVIVOR. I STILL LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS MACHINE AND I AM HAPPY TO SEE THIS GAME IN MY COLLECTION.

I always dug that Pheonix machine, it came out when I was in 5th grade. I played it for about 5 years, that post between the A and B targets was a drain monster!! The skill shot for the extra ball on the left is one of my faves of all time. You gotta hit them targets then shoot the spinner. One of the cooler games from that era.

What a flashback!
Very fast machine for sure. Only saw that machine on the Point Pleasant Boardwalk briefly in the 1980-81 era. Once Black Knight came out, I can't recall seeing any.

I wish I was a little bit older so I would have enjoyed the 78 - 80 Pinball Era longer. I was just to young at that time to ride my bike to the Family Fun Center Arcade near my house. It was not until 81 when I was able hang out there. I totally loved the 70s pins they still had, but by 82 most of the pins were gone. The only good thing that came out of it was my Dad was able to purchase the Black Knight Pinball Machine from that Arcade in 82. Forty years later I still own that same Black Knight.
