@@micobugija6284 Yeah. Because he's using a 240mm rad to cool both his 9900K and 3090, maybe he will need to crank up his fans speed a bit. So the noise level will be different depending on the card used.
The 5950 isn't the best choice for gaming. The 5900 is. Fewer cores in the same space bring better overclocking potential. Go with the 5950 if you have actual work that needs more cores or if you want to make gameplay RUclips videos. It is most for show off. Then if you go with AMD, opt for a 6900XT. You can have an 6900XT + Ryzen 5900 for the money of an RTX 3090. Unless you care about RayTracing, you have lots of money or you can have any special discounts, it is not wort getting an RTX 3090.

I've been looking for this test specifically since the 3000 series launched. So thank you. I was worried I'd need a bigger case for more rads, seems not. Would have been nice to see more info about noise levels though. Or even a thermally normalized noise chart, ie. How loud are they all at the same temperature. After all, being able to throttle down your fans on a 360mm rad is a big advantage over a 120mm.
For what it’s worth that’s what I’m currently doing. Although it’s with the 3080 FE and a ryzen 5900x once released. Waiting for those last 2 parts then it’s ready. Already put most of it together. 2x 240mm rads and a iceman res and pump combo on the back
My Philips Hue play bars behind the monitor which are synced to on-screen colours simply LOVE your B-roll footage! When you do that colour split of orange and green they light up perfectly it's glorious

@@BlubbieFirglan Hey there, using the same PNY 3090 and ek block Ali is showing in the video. With 2 slim 240 radiators (25mm) I'm getting temps in the 30s during normal use, and mid 40s to low 50s when rendering, depending on cpu utilization at the same time.
My man just triggered all of r/watercooling. Folks there will tell you you will need at least a 360 rad for the 10900k alone for close to acceptable results haha
If you could include some G6X temperature testing when you put that into your system (esp the rear side modules) that'd be awesome, that's the one biggest thing I'm concerned about with a waterblock on these cards
Just want to say thanks for the undervolt idea. My 10850k wanted 1.6V at 5.2Ghz according to VID and actually Vcore went as high at 1.45 under load. Much better now. Also dropped 60W with a 3090 undervolt and the whole system is running much lower temps now.
Cool video, the only thing I wish was if you had tested backside VRM temperatures, because a lot of people are really scared about it and they don't understand that watercooling the front will make significantly lower temperatures on the backside too.
I'd be interested to seeing you fit this in the T1, especially with a backplate as I was unable to install my 2080 Super with the EK backplate due to lack of clearance behind the GPU. Not an issue as my card doesn't have components on the back that benefit from cooling, but I imagine the memory on the back of the 3090 will want to be cooled once it's in the T1.

Thanks for the video. I would appreciate it if you also could do artifical loads on the components when testing cooling and power draw. Since that is what the components theoretically can output/consume. Games vary a lot.
They're perfect for an ITX loop, and the FE PCB's are even shorter. The performance in such a compact design is what I love most about this gen. Now to actually get one...

Nice, I have the same PNY 3090. It’s a very underrated card. Stock Bios allows for 110% TDP which lets it boost up to 2ghz+ reliably at around 63c just under 80% fan average. (Stock curve) Water cooling should bring down noise considerably.

How crazy is it that the 3090's clockspeed only goes op 30-40 MHz when looking at watercooling vs air, when the 2080 ti went up around 80 MHz. Aircooling has become so good at this point.
Thoughts on experience level needed for either a custom 240 loop in a T1 or dual 240 in an M1? Scale of 1 to 10? Both seem relatively straight forward based on years of lurking on all the build logs on forums, just a matter of what pump/res block and planning for filling/bleeding/draining. Looking to do my first custom loop but also first SFF build. Really like the T1 overall but leaning towards the M1 for optimal cooling/noise. Planning a 5900x/3080 (ti if ever released). As always, love the content. Thanks

Looks awesome. But I have to ask since I never watercooled myself, are they really silent? 1500 RPM on the fans? My Noctua fans never go above 900 RPM, and my Strix card is silent during gaming and barely audible during heavy games. Those numbers looks amazing for overclocking though, and it's on a friggin 3090 :D

Did you measure the liquid temperature? When running at 66C GPU-Temp the water temp is propably over 50C. Some pumps or tubing are not made for high water temperatures like that and may fail after some time.
4:20 Here is a reason: If you increase the rad area you can have the similar temps but vastly lower fan speed. 1500rpm sounds loud to me. If you have a large case and a stupid amount of free fans, why not? I have 480 and 360 in a caselabs merlin, push pull on both with 15 sanace fans. They sit at 400rpm and go to about 750rpm gaming. I have never seen the GPU (1080ti) go over 50c even in hottest summer days with 30c+ ambient. It is overkill i know, thats the way i like it 😁 It is suprising what you can get out of a single rad though, certianly impressive considering the amount of heat. I could forgive a computer that is small and powerfull being abit louder under load.
Just curious, did you measure the backplate temperature? I am considering using the block in a sandwich style case, but I heard that these G6X modules get very hot under load. I am a bit concerned due to the lack of airflow over the backplate in that kind of case.

I would like to make a build i can easily transport, since I live far from my hometown. Would you suggest to go for a smaller yet ATX case (like the Cerberus X), or should i go for a more airflow focused case, even if it is bigger? I am a little worried about temps. thanks
In F1 2020 my 1080Ti hits 2088MHz and tops out at 35C (26-27C idle) with a 3 radiator setup in a View 51. With a 3950X running 4.6GHz/4.4GHz@1.35v as well.

Well you probably do, for heavy CPU workloads. But for gaming you can obviously get away with less.

Great results also what program do you use to underclock? I've checked with afterburner but I could't lower the voltage, thanks.

yeah, memory actually really doesn't need that much cooling, and the backplate is more than enough to act as a heatsink

I just got my Asus TUF 3090 EK block in Australia yesterday. Fantastic. My GPU hasn't gone over 45c

The Bykski block for the FE model is another 33 mm shorter.

They should do a Block Pump combo for ITX Build. There is so much space left. Just mount a pump on the end and redo the flowpath.

Likely because the DDC outputs significant heat and having it so close to another heat source (CPU) is pretty detrimental.

You used a 240mm for both 10900k and 3090? In NCASE M1 with two 240mm we can expect even better results then?
